In my experience, the care provided by Mavisbank Care Home staff has been excellent. My mum is happy and in good physical condition despite her Alzheimers. She enjoys the activities provided and social provisions. The home staff are very good at maintaining contact with myself, ensuring that I am always
informed of my mum's condition and any issues that have arisen.

The home is an excellent place for the elderly with disabilities. Unfortunately, as my mother was visually handicapped and deaf it was not right for her and I think she will be much happier with her family.
Staff are excellent, treating residents like family.
My only complaint is about laundry,
although the lady is lovely, quite often Mum was wearing other people's clothes instead of her own, especially knickers and socks. All clothes were labelled, she needed more help with 60 residents.

Personal care is excellent. Friendly staff, genuine care. Helpful and professional.
My only gripe is when residents are being readied please put a sign on the door, 'Busy' or similar.
Mavisbank is cleaner looking too.

On entering the care home the staff are extremely welcoming. The staff are very caring, compassionate, kind and thoughtful. The premises are very well looked after and have immaculate cleanliness. I would highly recommend this care home.

We found Mavisbank to be welcoming and friendly. Staff are warm and friendly and always exhibit genuine empathy and kindness. The care home itself is warm and comfortable, with high-quality pictures and fittings - there is certainly a homely atmosphere. Staff always make time to answer any queries and
provide privacy for personal discussions with residents' relatives. So far, our family is more than happy with our decision to move our relative into Mavisbank.

My mother moved to Mavisbank Care Home in the summer of this year. Since then, I have always been impressed with the staff. They care about all their residents and take time with them. No request for help is ignored and they encourage the residents to do things, from dressing themselves to joining in
social events.

Clean, pleasant surroundings. Staff are friendly and approachable. My husband has been a resident for almost 5 years, he is happy with his room and with the caring staff. As a family we are happy with his care, he is safe and well looked after.
Staff keep us informed when he is unwell and what treatment
he is having. Very happy with his care.

My mother has only been in the home for 3 days. First impressions are good. My mum, who is 97 and blind seems settled. Obviously, she is still finding her way around. She is enjoying her meals and the staff are lovely with her.
As I live in France and am 75, I can only visit occasionally but will
keep in touch by telephone.

The new manager goes out of her way to provide whatever my mum needs. The staff are brilliant and the care home is spotless. Mum has been there since Many and settled very quickly. I would totally recommend the home.

In the last few weeks, I have noticed a vast difference in care given to all residents. My mother has settled well and the chair provided to her has helped her a great deal. Staff are so nice to her and always greet us nicely.

My mother has been a resident in Mavisbank Care Home for 2 years now. My mum has dementia. The staff are forever going above and beyond. The manager is forever assisting our family needs as my dad visits there and has health issues too and they always assist to make sure his safety is ok while visiting
our mum. Delighted with well being as activities are great and my mum is very content. Well done to all staff for their hard work and going above and beyond.

I feel my auntie is very well cared for in Mavisbank. I had an enormous amount of guilt putting my auntie into a care home. However, she has settled and enjoys all the company. She is very sociable and has lots of interaction with staff and residents. I would even go as far as saying that she is loved
by Mavisbank. Her spirits have been lifted by the doll therapy, and having someone to look after is giving her a purpose. Thank you.

My grandmother moved into Mavisbank in 2017 and she has lived there happily. She has a great rapport with staff and fellow residents. Staff are very attentive to my grandmother’s needs and any clinical issues/concerns are always picked up on and acted upon very quickly. Staff at Mavisbank ensure that
my grandmother receives a high standard of personal care even though at times she can be reluctant, staff ensure she is well presented and kept to the high standard, a smart lady she always has been. Pre-Covid Mavisbank had a wide range of activities in-house and also various bus trips that my grandmother enjoyed going on. Communication is efficient, we receive regular updates on my grandmother and indoor visiting now is great! The home superficially is tired however, the care and staff are above and beyond what we could’ve hoped for. There is a real family and welcoming feel at Mavisbank. Thanks again to everyone involved.

I would like to thank all the staff for their professional care to my wife at Mavisbank. It has been difficult times, but all staff deserve credit as they show love and support, not only to my wife but to myself in these difficult times of COVID. All staff are forever going above and beyond to keep
the communication going with me and my family which we appreciate very much. My daughter is forever recommending family and friends to Mavisbank as we are confident in their care of my wife. Huge thanks.

My mum has deteriorated over a number of weeks then quite rapidly so. The greatest resource at Mavisbank is the staff team, high standard of care offered to my mum. The building is tied and in need of a refurbishment, however, aesthetic has no bearing on compassionate care and should not be a factor
in choosing whether to place a loved one in Mavisbank. The nursing staff have considerable expertise in palliative care, always sensitive to the needs of residents and their families. We will forever be indebted for the excellent care Mum received. Quite simply, thank you.

Mum joined the home October 20 during lockdown. As you can imagine this was an extremely difficult time for us and especially for her. We received complete compassion from all members of staff and felt very comfortable with the care Mum was receiving. We got constant updates on her progress and at her
window visits could see she was being well looked after. Now we are allowed 1 visit a week to get into the home to see her, it is wonderful to see how the staff react with her and her Alzheimer's condition.

Having worked at HC-One for many years, Kate closely shares the company’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Kate remarked:


“I am a people person, there’s nothing better for me than building good relationships with my Colleagues, our Residents, their loved ones and external professionals.”
