In the last few weeks, I have noticed a vast difference in care given to all residents. My mother has settled well and the chair provided to her has helped her a great deal. Staff are so nice to her and always greet us nicely.

I am delighted my husband is in Mavisbank. The staff go above and beyond with care. They are very helpful in answering any questions you need to be answered. My husband has settled well. I could not ask for a better place for my husband to be in. The staff are all great with him. I would recommend Mavisbank 100% to anyone looking for care for their loved ones.

My mother has been a resident in Mavisbank Care Home for 2 years now. My mum has dementia. The staff are forever going above and beyond. The manager is forever assisting our family needs as my dad visits there and has health issues too and they always assist to make sure his safety is ok while visiting our mum. Delighted with well being as activities are great and my mum is very content. Well done to all staff for their hard work and going above and beyond.

I feel my auntie is very well cared for in Mavisbank. I had an enormous amount of guilt putting my auntie into a care home. However, she has settled and enjoys all the company. She is very sociable and has lots of interaction with staff and residents. I would even go as far as saying that she is loved by Mavisbank. Her spirits have been lifted by the doll therapy, and having someone to look after is giving her a purpose. Thank you.

Review from Ryan D (Grandson of Resident) published on 21 May 2021 Submitted via Website

My grandmother moved into Mavisbank in 2017 and she has lived there happily. She has a great rapport with staff and fellow residents. Staff are very attentive to my grandmother’s needs and any clinical issues/concerns are always picked up on and acted upon very quickly. Staff at Mavisbank ensure that my grandmother receives a high standard of personal care even though at times she can be reluctant, staff ensure she is well presented and kept to the high standard, a smart lady she always has been. Pre-Covid Mavisbank had a wide range of activities in-house and also various bus trips that my grandmother enjoyed going on. Communication is efficient, we receive regular updates on my grandmother and indoor visiting now is great! The home superficially is tired however, the care and staff are above and beyond what we could’ve hoped for. There is a real family and welcoming feel at Mavisbank. Thanks again to everyone involved.

I would like to thank all the staff for their professional care to my wife at Mavisbank. It has been difficult times, but all staff deserve credit as they show love and support, not only to my wife but to myself in these difficult times of COVID. All staff are forever going above and beyond to keep the communication going with me and my family which we appreciate very much. My daughter is forever recommending family and friends to Mavisbank as we are confident in their care of my wife. Huge thanks.

My mum has deteriorated over a number of weeks then quite rapidly so. The greatest resource at Mavisbank is the staff team, high standard of care offered to my mum. The building is tied and in need of a refurbishment, however, aesthetic has no bearing on compassionate care and should not be a factor in choosing whether to place a loved one in Mavisbank. The nursing staff have considerable expertise in palliative care, always sensitive to the needs of residents and their families. We will forever be indebted for the excellent care Mum received. Quite simply, thank you.

Mum joined the home October 20 during lockdown. As you can imagine this was an extremely difficult time for us and especially for her. We received complete compassion from all members of staff and felt very comfortable with the care Mum was receiving. We got constant updates on her progress and at her window visits could see she was being well looked after. Now we are allowed 1 visit a week to get into the home to see her, it is wonderful to see how the staff react with her and her Alzheimer's condition.

A lot better than the one I was in, nothing to do, no-one to speak to only the staff, I'm a lot happier and content here. The other care home I was in was depressing me, and I'm closer to my family now, staff are amazing here.

Today when I arrived, my friend of our family had her hair done and was looking super. I like the way the team know her needs, for example when she gets anxious and confused, the relationship she has with the admin lady settles her just by talking to her and spending time with her. I am happy with all I see in this home.

My ninety-two year old mother received respite care for three weeks in Mavisbank.
We were very happy with the care and attention she received.

All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. She had a very nice room. We also felt that Mavisbank had a nice fresh and clean air to it. We will certainly be happy for my mother to return there.
