Both parents are in Mavis Bank. They are very content and happy here, very welcoming. Staff are excellent, very kind and thoughtful.


Varied activities. Both have a good relationship with all staff and their anxieties and confusion alleviated. They are both safe.

A lot better than the one I was in, nothing to do, no-one to speak to only the staff, I'm a lot happier and content here. The other care home I was in was depressing me, and I'm closer to my family now, staff are amazing here.

Mavis Bank has a very homely feel and I am always welcomed during every visit in a very kind and friendly manner. The staff are very kind and caring and my relative is well cared for and very content at Mavis Bank. There are always lots of varied activities on daily. I would highly recommend Mavis Bank

My wife, whose disposition has changed is hardly very well and praises the care she receives. I appreciate the change is handled well. Healthwise, I think she is looked after well, though her swollen stomach is a worry.

Today when I arrived, my friend of our family had her hair done and was looking super. I like the way the team know her needs, for example when she gets anxious and confused, the relationship she has with the admin lady settles her just by talking to her and spending time with her. Since my mother has been admitted to Mavis Bank Care Home since January 2018, she has settled very well and I think all staff from management to carers has been first class and would have no problem recommending family or friends to Mavis Bank Care Home.

My mum has now been in Mavis Bank Care Home for a year. My mum is happy, well fed, kept clean and involved in loads of activities.
The staff are wonderful, everyone from the manager to the cleaners are professional, thoughtful and kind. They always have time for my mum know her likes and dislikes and
really care in particular a carer is a treasure she is an outstanding member of the team. Big thanks to them all as my family and I know my mum is happy and treated with respect.

My ninety-two year old mother received respite care for three weeks in Mavisbank.
We were very happy with the care and attention she received.
All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. She had a very nice room. We also felt that Mavisbank had a nice fresh and clean air to it. We
will certainly be happy for my mother to return there.

Mum came into Mavis Bank four weeks ago. We cannot thank the staff enough. Mavis Bank has welcomed mum and made her feel secure again. Mavis Bank offers great food, lovely rooms and a very safe and happy environment.

Mavis Bank is a well-situated house with good facilities and caring staff. There are lots of activities suitable for all the residents. Communication is good and staff are receptive to my concerns. It is a safe home and while is now in need of some decoration is clean and adequate.

Excellent entertainment within establishment, with exceptional external visits to local amenities. Good use of local schools and third sector to support initiatives and activities.
I'm particularly impressed with the commitment of staff and management.

Having worked at HC-One for many years, Kate closely shares the company’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Kate remarked:
