I have been very impressed with Ulda House, where my husband now lives. The staff are caring and loving to all the residents and very patient with those who need more attention.
They are most welcoming to visitors, and if we have any little worries about small health issues, they are dealt with right away.
It has been a load of my mind, as I didn't want him to come into a care home until the decision was taken out of my hands.

If it was possible to have a physiotherapist to give them little arm and leg exercises, I think they might benefit from that.

Caring and helpful staff.

Toilets in the room should have wash hand basin within the toilet.

My father moved to Hill View at the end of August. As a family, we have nothing but praise for the way he has been treated. I have found the staff extremely helpful and always willing to answer any question. I am very impressed with the way the staff treat the residents.

My Sister in Law has been in the home for over 4 years. She is well looked after and content. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Sometimes appear thin on the ground. We are generally happy with her care. Sometimes, her nails need to be cut and cleaned. Staff are happy to do this but need to be prompted.

My wife receives good care and attention. Staff are always helpful and attentive. The only problem tends to be a mix up of clothes when returned from laundry, even when labelled.

I just feel the residents could be stimulated more. They are just sat in front of a television or left to their own devices. I think their minds should be kept active. Overall everything else is good.

Since my mother entered Hill View in November 2017, there has been a better understanding of her care needs and staff respond accordingly. Staff are aware of things that upset Mum and take care to avoid situations. The home has a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are supportive of the family and are sympathetic to our difficult situation.

My mum is well cared for and as a family, we are happy with the care and support provided by all staff.
During a period of illness, my mum was very well looked after.

I believe in the current climate she received better care than in hospital.

Pleased with the overall care my mother receives. Staff are very welcoming and caring to both residents and relatives.
Nothing is a problem to them. Although there are activities, sometimes I feel there could be more to challenge the residents.

Overall, the standards are good and the effort made to make the residents feel at home is much appreciated.

I have also undertaken further university-level study in Palliative and End of Life Care, Alcohol, Drugs and Addiction, and Mentorship.
