The staff at Moss End Unit have been a tower of strength to all our family throughout this difficult journey. We are entirely grateful to each and every member of staff for the fantastic care given to my husband. When approaching any member of staff for assistance, nothing is a bother. A great working team. You are all doing a fantastic job. Thank you very much.

The staff at Hatton Lea Care Home were caring and so attentive to my aunt in her final days you could not have asked for more dedication than they gave her and the time she spent here gave her a better quality of life. The home is very well laid out and very clean.

Since my wife joined Orbiston unit, her happy demeanour has surpassed all expectations. Communication with staff is excellent. They don't seem to have difficulties, only solutions. Her sons video call her from London and Australia. Unit systems works a treat with strong wifi. My wife is always clean and presentable.

It has been a difficult time of late my thanks to all staff. You're the best.

I have always found the staff so helpful and my mother seems so happy here, she is always so grateful for the staff helping her. Although Mum can't remember names her wee face lights up when they are about. We as a family are so grateful for the care they show and especially during this awful pandemic, ensuring the safety of residents to the best of their ability.

First impressions of this home when entering for the first time with my aunt was the cleanliness. Also how welcoming the staff were. Throughout the years my aunt has lived there I have always found the staff caring and friendly. This last year has been difficult for us all, but everyone involved has worked really hard and done everything possible to make the home safe, yes it has been hard not being able to visit followed by restricted visiting, but definitely for the best.

My mother was a resident in Belvedere Ward for just over a year. During her time there the treatment she received was excellent and the staff were very kind and communicated to her family during the period of lockdown due to Covid. Towards the end, she could be difficult to deal with as she suffered from dementia but the staff were very patient and managed her condition well. The atmosphere in the ward was always positive and the layout was open plan which made it easy for staff to observe the residents while avoiding the claustrophobia of small sitting rooms.

My husband has been in Hatton Lea for almost a year now and in that time, he has been cared for with kindness and treated with dignity. The staff are friendly and welcoming to all who visit. There is a good atmosphere in the home and I feel I can always speak to someone if anything is on my mind. The food is satisfactory (soup is always excellent). I am happy with the care my husband is receiving.

My husband has been in the Moss End unit of Hatton Lea Care Home for almost five years and his treatment from all the staff has been excellent. He has been treated with the utmost care and dignity throughout and the staff are all very helpful and treat the residents almost like family, both personally and encouraging them with their activities. The rooms and décor are very clean and tidy and I would recommend this home to anyone.

Always a very calm atmosphere and the staff are so welcoming. Apart from being so attentive to residents the staff always find time to have a friendly word with families and friends. I visit most days and without having to approach staff, they always inform me of my husband's condition that particular day/evening and I can go home with an easy heart.

Since my mother arrived at the Orbiston unit, there has been a dramatic change for the better in her physical health, how settled and happy she is and her quality of life.
A year ago, we would never have thought - as a family - that we would be able to take mum out for a walk or to a cafe for a cuppa.
On Easter Sunday we were able to take her to Strathclyde Park for a walk and an ice cream in the sun - and you can see she really enjoys doing things like this.
Being able to do simple things like this is a testament to the staff's devotion to the people they care for.
Their attention to detail, genuine compassion and warm interaction with all residents is something that is noticed by all families.
Throughout the year, an effort is made to include families on occasions like Christmas and fundraising days.

The staff are a credit to the care home sector and to HC-one, and we appreciate everything they do.
