This care home appears to be constantly having Covid which means I cannot visit my Mum. Now been told she has Covid which has come from a Carer! This is not acceptable and since Sanctuary has taken over the home has gone downhill and I will be posting on social media about my issues with them plus the fact they only received three from the Care Quality Commission. They are reduced to agency nurses/carers who are not there long enough to get to know their loved ones. So to end my story they are a disgrace and I will certainly post any grievances I have ever had on social media.

Since July 2019 when my wife entered, I have no complaints either of the standard of care or the courtesy. Cooperation and support I have received from the administration to the care staff is good. I have found their conduct exemplary and I thank them.

Staff are very knowledgeable and attentive to the needs of the residents. I am always kept informed of any procedure changes and of any issues that may arise with my husband. Forefaulds is very comfortable, spacious and clean.

Under normal conditions, this home is well run. It is difficult to comment when I am unable to visit due to Covid. I would recommend all the staff top to bottom for their hard work and dedication and look forward to seeing them and their smiling faces.

My mum went into the home in October after a bad fall. This was an extremely difficult decision and a heartbreaking one. However, the staff have shown her nothing but love and kindness and she is being well looked after. Covid restrictions make the situation very difficult at times but we are coping. The staff deserve a medal for their dedication. My mum is eating better and taking part in activities which is encouraging. Hopefully, there will be light at the end of the tunnel with the vaccine and we can actually get in to see her. Thanks to everyone caring for her.

I am very happy with the care my mum receives. The staff are only too happy to assist with any of my requests. They have performed outstandingly during the pandemic. Taken the correct steps to ensure our loves ones are safe and cared for. The manager only took over before the pandemic and she appears to have risen to the challenge.

It was a heartbreaking decision for my family when we had to put Mum into care, but from day one, the nurses and care staff at Forefaulds were sympathetic and supportive. When visiting Mum, we were comforted by how attentive and kind everyone was. Since this awful pandemic, we have been unable to visit, but the staff have kept us well informed and reassured that Mum was healthy and happy. Now with the easing of lockdown, I have been able to visit and was impressed with the safety procedure put in place to protect her. My family and I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Forefaulds.

My mother with dementia has stayed at Forefaulds for over 4 years she has received the best of care while she has been there, the staff are brilliant with her they have got to know her well and know how to cater for her needs if there is any issues I have been informed by phone and appropriate action taken and relayed back to me it’s a great comfort to know she is been looked after well she is also fed well with home-cooked beautiful meals which she loves by the resident chef who has been there a long time and is super friendly I would not hesitate to recommend Forefaulds enough.

My mum was a resident at Forefaulds for just over a year. Sadly she just passed at the end of September.
I can't thank the staff enough for the love and care given to my mum. From day one she was made welcome and nothing was a problem to make her happy and comfortable.
Whether a carer, a nurse, a domestic or someone from the kitchens - all went out their way to help mum and to make us, her family, feel welcome.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home and its staff to anyone looking for somewhere homely and safe for a loved one.

My mother has been a resident for over three years. And I fully appreciate the continued excellent standard of care that she receives. All the staff members are very professional, whilst also having a nice friendly manner, giving Forefaulds a warm and welcoming feel. My mother's room is comfortable and whilst she now spends more time in the lounge she still comments that she likes her room. The activities and entertainment are provided for those who wish to participate.

I would like to thank all the staff in Forefaulds care home, they all go above and beyond for the care of the residents. Sadly my father passed away and I have never met such a caring and hardworking staff and even when my father passed they were all very helpful including the office staff. Well done to all staff.

My dad was a resident at Forefaulds for a year and a half. After a bad experience at the first care home dad was in, the family were extremely wary and nervous when dad moved to Forefaulds. Our fears were soon forgotten and dad settled in very well. The staff were fantastic with dad and with all the family. The care he received was second to none and the support given to the family was amazing and gave us real peace of mind. Staff and residents became our extended family and I would recommend Forefaulds to anyone who has to choose a care home for a member of their family.

Both my Mother and Father-in-law are in Forefaulds Nursing Home. They have been there together since August 2016. They both have dementia. Finding Forefaulds was a life saver for my husband and myself. They are in the smaller unit due to their complex needs. The staff are brilliant with them. The unit is warm and inviting, always smells nice and the atmosphere is calm and happy. The level of cleanliness is very high. They are well cared for at all times, they are fed and fussed over all day long and tell me themselves that it's a great place to stay. They always look clean and well dressed. The staff got to know all about them straight away and genuinely care for all their residents. They always treat them with respect and consideration. I don't worry about them when I visit and can sleep at night knowing they are safe and content. I will be eternally grateful to all the team at Forefaulds for making the end part of their lives as good as it can be.

Dad arrived at Forefaulds not sure what to expect. Within 2 hours he had decided he was staying - permanently!

We were given a very friendly greeting and given a choice of rooms. The staff even went out and purchased more 'manly' bedding rather than the pink florals that were available! On that first day, and since, all staff have provided my dad with the level of care and attention that he was so sadly lacking at home alone. They have all made us feel welcome and have managed to provide a consistently high level of care even although the home is currently a building site! The top moment so far was the lovely party for his birthday. We just couldn't get him off the dance floor! It's lovely to see the level of engagement the staff all have with each resident. It's been such a relief to know dad is now safe and well cared for.
