I am happy with the care my mother receives, however, I am not sure what (if any) stimulation, i.e activities and/or conversations she is getting on a daily basis. It is not a criticism of the staff, who seem to be stretched beyond belief, it is an observation.

I keep giving the same feedback every time I complete these surveys but nothing ever changes,

The staff are very kind and make you feel comfortable. The nursing staff are excellent. I rate the care home the best in the area, that is why I picked it, and I have spread the word.

My mother has been in for over three years. New management again. Massive difference now in the nursing home and not for the good.

As my wife was a new resident and I did not know what to expect. The initial reaction was good, but it became obvious that the staff/resident ratio did not seem adequate for the different needs of individual residents. This was noticeable in the safety/security area. In fairness to Hallhouse, recent measures have been taken to address this issue with the installation of electronic security systems within. This only leaves the staff/resident ratio issue to be addressed, although COVID has probably played a part in this. The motivation and willingness of staff was of high quality.

My mum, who has dementia, has only been in the care system for six weeks, but during that time, I have been very impressed with the level of care shown to her. Every member of staff has been extremely friendly and professional, and they are very good at keeping me informed of any developments regarding my mum's well-being. Overall, I am very pleased with the high standard of cleanliness and organisation, and I feel Hallhouse Care Home is a good example of a well-run facility for our loved ones.

Please consider this home carefully. It does not live up to the reputation given. There is insufficient staff for residents' requirements, no entertainment, etc. Yes, covid is given as the reason for this but charges are the same despite food quality, etc being poorer than advertised.

My wife went into your home with vascular dementia and the staff in my view are a lot of "top notchers". They just have connected with my wife, so I will say keep up the great work you are doing. Thank yous.

My mum was admitted in November and received excellent care from all staff during her stay. Because of Covid it was not always easy to visit, but the staff did everything they could to facilitate visits. particularly in the last few days when the home was in lockdown.

Unfortunately, the last 2 years of my Grampas 3 year stay has been during Covid. This has made all the care home scenarios so much more difficult.

I find the staff very friendly and caring. The kitchen food provided is excellent. Sometimes there can be small issues but they are dealt with very well. This is a nice home that I would recommend.

Staff are generally consistent and through conversation know the residents well. They provide reassurance to families and our professional and helpful. Office staff deal with any queries re visiting etc efficiently. Room seems bright, clean and well-appointed. Menu seems varied and my mother enjoys the food prepared.

My mum moved into Hallhouse Care Home in July, she has always been very much against care homes, however realistically understood she needed additional help. Well she loved it from day 1. She was made very welcome. She loved the attention she received. They organised games days and pampering days. Sadly she took a fall and passed away as a daughter the staff were absolutely amazing. I would like to thank them all for the love and care they gave. Would recommend 100%.

It is very hard to make a comment at the minute as we are not getting into the home for visits but the last couple of times my sister or I have been in to see our father he has been a bit untidy with dirty clothes on. Also, on my last visit he came out to see me with food still in his mouth from his last meal as this was 15.30 how long had that been there. This is not acceptable.

Due to the current pandemic, I have not been able to visit my mother since she went into the home so it is difficult to judge the standard of the home. However, my mother seems to be happy enough and the staff are always very helpful when I phone. I was disappointed recently when a Mother's Day gift that I sent was not given to my mother on the day. I have subsequently spoken with the manager regarding this issue.

Because I have not been inside the home then I can only put 'satisfactory' to some of the categories below.

Mum has been in Hallhouse for over six years, first in the lodge then over to the nursing side, as a family we have been completely satisfied with her care. At one point there was an issue with her clothing but was quickly resolved. The staff are all extremely approachable and easy to talk to. As my mum has deteriorated over the years her needs have obviously changed and the home is quick to recognise this. Thank you to all for caring for my mum.

My mother was in respite care in Hallhouse Care Home for only 26 days. She, unfortunately, passed away at the end of her stay, but the care she received leading up to her death was exemplary. The staff - all staff - couldn't do enough for her to make her comfortable. They seemed to really care and understand the essence of my mother. The nursing care was just first class. My mother never suffered and I feel that, as a former nurse myself, that it was the outstanding care she received which enabled her to have a painful, peaceful death.
