The staff are very caring and the manager is very hands-on. There are entertainment and activities for the residents, including day trips. Visitors are made very welcome. Families are kept well informed and invited to attend meetings. The staff respond quickly to any medical or social needs. It is the people that make this home welcoming. We moved our mother here from another local home, where the management was hostile and families were not made welcome. We are pleased we moved our mother to Chestnut Lodge.

The staff and the management are brilliant. The care home manager knows all the residents by name and all their relatives. The care staff on my dad's floor are brilliant. They look after the residents as if they were their own family. My dad loves the home and he thinks he is in a hotel. Whenever there is an issue with dad (e.g. he's had a fall), the home always inform me by email or phone. I could not hope for a safer, happier and more caring place for my dad to live.

Chestnut Lodge is the ideal care home for my stepfather. It is a small home which equates to quality of care. The quality of care is very good. The staff know my stepfather well and show him care and respect.
Prior to becoming a resident at the home, he had been living with ulcers on both legs from the ankle up to the knees for nearly 4 years. He had district nurses who would visit his house at least twice a week but the ulcers never healed. Within 4 months of living at Chestnut Lodge, his legs were completely healed. The manager and his deputy are extremely helpful and listen to any concerns I have raised and have acted immediately. His nurse is also wonderful.
My stepfather is clean, healthy and presents as happy most of the time. He is living with dementia and this is becoming progressively worse but the care team knows his likes and dislike and support him well.

I have given a top rating because, I know that my stepfather is in good hands.

I can’t say how happy I am that Mum is in Chestnut Lodge. She has been here for 1 year now and the transformation is amazing. The carers are wonderful and treat her with respect and humour. Nothing seems to get them down. They cope with her moods (and she has many) with a smile and gentleness. The entertainment organiser is amazing and she provides activities and outings and shows some days morning and the afternoon. The manager is also amazing. Mum loves him as he always says good morning each day and again he is always smiling and kind.

Very important to have a smile on your face to show good intentions, when caring for people with symptoms of dementia.

This year I believe my mother's health and well-being have been well looked after. The standard of cleanliness in the home has been very good staff and carers are very attentive. I’m very happy with the security that the home provides.

The manager and his staff have kept me informed about my mum’s well-being at all times.

The care home is a lovely, safe place, with a high standard of trained staff. It's always clean, tidy and welcoming.
The care home is very active, with trips out and has a year-round calendar of events, as well as a lovely garden for summer activities.

The staff and management are very supportive and caring for relatives, which is very important.

Chestnut Lodge provides the care and compassion that you would wish for any loved family member. Over the last few years whilst my mum has been resident I have visited weekly and always, without exception, receive a warm and caring welcome. The manager and staff are so kind and considerate and I could not wish for my mum to be in a better place. The atmosphere is like being in a family home, full of fun, laughter, energy and inclusion. Every effort is made to adapt to the needs of the residents and families. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff and kindness is at the core of everything. For the first time in many years I can sleep at night knowing my mum is safe and well cared for and that comfort is priceless. Thank you to the manager and all the staff who contribute to this. I will be forever grateful.

Our father was placed in this care home due to dementia. I live in California and they always communicated any concerns regarding my father. The day and night staff are awesome, very caring and attentive towards the elderly. Activities are always going on and relaxing music playing including lots of music oldies from the 50s, 60s, 70s, which my dad enjoyed so much.

I'd like to personally thank all staff who helped my dad. Not only did you care and support my dad, but supported me too in the end. The final hours before Dad passed the night staff knew Dad's religious preference was catholic, they were so kind to put on a channel where the rosary prayer was recited for him. I highly recommend Chestnut Lodge from management to the staff, they are amazing. Thank you for caring for my dad.

The manager and his team are amazing, Chestnut Lodge Care Home is very homely and carers are very caring to all their residents. They care for my husband with great care and attention. It's a great relief to me, also my family, knowing that he is being cared for and looked after so well. They are all amazing, the whole of the care home. Can't praise them enough. Best care home by far, would not want him to be anywhere else.

Exceptional!
Mum spent four and a half years at Chestnut Lodge Care Home, Ealing until she sadly passed away in August 2021. From the outset, my two sisters and I were reassured by the genuine care and affection she received.
Mum flourished in the warm and friendly environment and actively participated in the various social activities provided. The care staff were always welcoming during our weekly visits and treated Mum more as a friend than a mere resident. This delighted both her and us.
We appreciated the "open door" policy of the manager who was ably assisted by his excellent administrator. This meant we could discuss Mum's condition at any time and receive honest answers. When minor niggles occurred, these were dealt with immediately and effectively.
We count ourselves fortunate that Mum was at Chestnut Lodge, Ealing.

They fulfilled their role as a true "care" home.
