Croft Meadow

Since Mum came to the home, she has settled in and really made friends. Food could be a little more fresh and more outings out. Very happy with the staff and the general keeping me updated with Mum. Was thinking if it would be good to have a meeting for families to attend on understanding dementia.

My wife has been very happy at Croft Meadow. The staff go out of their way to look after her, meet her needs and keep her safe They respond quickly to requests and do their best to anticipate needs. The housekeeping staff are excellent too. My favourite thing is that everyone talks to her, uses her name (and mine as well) and gives big hugs when she wants one!

Considering the circumstances we are looked after well. None of us are as content as we would be at home.

Quite happy to be living here with fellow residents. I feel safe and well looked after. Plenty to do and eat. So happy here!

The home is bright, tidy, clean and homely and my mum is really happy there (which makes me happy too!).

I am quite happy here. The staff are helpful and it is helpful that they care for my husband who is here as a resident with dementia.

My wife had recently been diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia, and after a couple of months in the hospital, a move to an appropriate care home was required. She was moved to Croft Meadow and, since then, has received excellent care in a "home-like" environment. The staff (both admin and care) have been excellent. My only negative was the process of assessment which I found wholly inadequate and distressing as within a few hours of arrival, it was found Croft was unable to meet her needs. She has since been moved again!

I have been made to feel at home. Everything included, meals are good, carers are good at their job. I love the activities.

Supportive staff, great activities, life is good at Croft Meadow Care Home.

My mother was a resident for over eight years. Her complex needs have been successfully supported by all members of staff at all times. The administration team, carers and nursing sisters have been so supportive and professional at all times, their humour and compassion are a great help. The rest of Croft Meadow Care Home is always polite and courteous. During lockdown, all staff were professional at this challenging time. I thank you all.

Mum has been a resident of Croft Meadow for the past year and has received excellent care. The staff are unfailingly kind and patient. Despite her dementia, Mum appears content, well fed and is offered plenty of stimulation through the activities daily. Croft Meadow is bright, spacious and airy. Visiting can take place in residents' own rooms, as well as the garden. Covid restrictions have been well managed. Relatives are valued and welcomed, just as the residents are.

I have complicated nursing needs and they have helped me every step of the way; whether it be with my physical needs or my dietary needs. They have gone above and beyond every step of the way. The staff are helpful and friendly and the food is great. Thank you so much, I feel good knowing I am safe in their hands.

Moving to Croft Meadow Care Home was the best thing that happened to me in the last few years. Staff are great, management is outstanding, nothing is too much for them. The activities coordinator does the best activities, if I don't want to take part she will do something different with me! Thank you all for taking such good care of me.

I am not one to usually leave reviews but I have honestly felt comfortable and happy being there!

The home is in a good location with plenty of parking in the vicinity. It had a very friendly atmosphere and I would definitely be happy to come back again sometime in the future.

The staff at Croft Meadow Care Home are always so welcoming and friendly whenever I visit, with lots of activities planned in for the residents to take part in. Covid measures are taken seriously with masks and the home is clean and tidy. Lovely space for the residents who get on well with one another to be in.

My friend has lived in Croft Meadow Care Home for a few months now. It is always so welcoming when I visit, the staff and other residents are so friendly. There is an amazing variety of activities also! The staff have dealt with the difficult ‘Covid’ times well and kept us updated throughout. Thank you to everyone!

My Grandad has recently moved into the home for respite care. All of the staff at Croft Meadow have been very accommodating to my grandad and his needs. I have noticed a significant change in his moods and his physical state. He is happy and chirpy again. He seems so much stronger physically. We were finding it hard to get Grandad to eat at home, since going into Croft Meadow he has been eating much more and this has made such a positive difference to him. The staff get him involved with the activities and are always encouraging him to interact. I am impressed with the staff at Croft Meadow and honestly, I am glad we chose them. It's a big decision to make for a loved one and they have proven to us it was the right one.

The difference the care has made for my Dad is amazing, he has put weight on, he is more mobile, and he is stronger and interacting more. The staff are so lovely and caring which is what I would expect from a proper care home. The facilities are very good. Dad likes the food and is very well looked after. Highly recommend this lovely bright home.
