I am a friend of a resident at Warmere Court and I am just amazed at how well the staff and management have pulled together to keep our loved ones safe during this very hard and distressing time. Before this, I had visited the home and it was just so warm and friendly and seeing how happy and cared for my friend was and to actually see the staff laughing and joking was just wonderful, also I would like to express how amazing the manager is there, she helps my friend so much and made me feel so welcome. It’s not often you hear of managers being so hands-on. My friend said that management are always around and she feels safe and knows she can ask for anything. I recently received their newsletter and a postcard picture to keep me in contact with my friend. Truly outstanding.

We as a family could not be more pleased how my step father is being looked after. As soon as you arrive a lovely welcome from all of the staff. He has been there since June 2019 so this is all the time on visits by all members of our family. The attention and care have been first class from all the staff. Clean. With activities for residents. Everything is first class.

This home is so clean and well maintained. Bright and cheery rooms. Right from the first day my Mum moved here, nothing has been too much trouble. Lots of help and advice given to us. The menu is very nice and varied, catering for everyone. Wide range of activities are offered to see the residents engaging themselves with a smile on their face says it all. This home is above and beyond standards. The staff are 100% dedicated to their jobs.

Friendly and good advice from the staff. Being a carer myself, it was lovely to see a home tidy and clean with good staff that are happy to help. The home smells clean and nothing was too much trouble, as we were asking plenty of questions.

Bright, clean and airy, in excellent decorative order. A well laid out facility and the en-suite rooms are a decent size and well maintained. Friendly, attentive staff offering a wide range of activities. A welcoming ambience with a professional attitude displayed by the approachable, hard-working, friendly staff. It's such a big thing knowing mum-in-law is safe, warm, fed and expertly cared for. The food and catering are outstanding.

I cannot fault Warmere day care centre, they are brilliant, the staff and management are caring, dedicated and excellent. My father has been attending the day care centre for nearly 10 years and it is his second home. If there was an Oscar for day care centres I would recommend them. I don't think my father would be here today if it wasn't for the care and professionalism that he receives for them. Thank you and God bless you all.

My mum has been at Warmere Court for year or so now, and all I can say is the place is amazing, the staff are caring, passionate, and full of compassion.
Knowing my mum is cared for and every need is met makes it easier to accept.
The home is homely and soon as you enter you are greeted with a cheery hello and smile from admin, and the manager is approachable and always around the home talking everyone. Warmere has a fun group of staff who seem to be always trying to find new ideas to help raise funds to treat their residents.
Just recently they have put in new menus and the home cooking smells amazing and looks yummy.

Warmere Court care home is one of a kind and I'm over the moon we chose here for mum.

My father attends daycare facilities two days a week and will also come for ad-hoc respite. He has been for some time now. This has made a difference to my dad, and he really does enjoy his days at Warmere. The staff are so lovely and really try so hard to motivate my dad and get him interested in different things. They put a lot of effort into ensuring that he has plenty to do and is occupied and happy.

Recently my mother was taken ill and needed to go into hospital urgently. I live about an hour away and have young children, so struggle to 'drop everything' and step in. I called the staff at Warmere as I wasn't sure what else to do, I didn't even have the details of my father's social worker so hoped they could help or at least point me in the right direction. I know I am not allowed to name members of staff here, but one lady, in particular, was so so helpful and I would say that she really went above and beyond to help my family and me, getting my dad collected and into respite asap.

Mum recently stayed in Warmere for a weeks respite. Staff know her well as she regularly attends the day centre. Mum is a frequent faller and has become frail and disorientated. They listened and acknowledged our concerns with regards to falling. All the staff went over and above to ensure that this did not happen and for this, we are really grateful. Thank you!

Warmere Court is a warm and friendly home with a garden-themed corridor and when you enter the home you are made to feel welcome with greetings from staff from manager to carer to domestic, on occasions I've asked for assistance with my client and no job has been too much for the staff. Warmere Court care offers the highest standard of care and I feel that anyone that uses their services is safe and treated with respect. Warmere passes the mum test for me in every way possible, they have fun-packed entertainers and even had lamas visit, and they display a wish tree on their wall which I find amazing to have that one wish fulfilled. The day centre staff have been amazing with helping care for my client.

I have worked for Shaw Healthcare since 2017 and started out as a bank domestic assistant before later becoming a full-time member of staff as a support worker. Within my time at Shaw I also helped out in the kitchen as a bank kitchen assistant.
My current role at Warmere now includes activity coordinator whilst continuing my role as a support worker. I enjoy working in a care setting and helping to look after and provide the best possible care to our residents.

I decided to take on a role as an activities coordinator as I wanted to be in a role where I could take the opportunity to get to know residents on a more personal level and be able to learn their hobbies and interests, their life stories and experiences etc and to be able to have the opportunity to get to know them and in doing so help provide more engaging and meaningful activities and one to ones that make a difference to the residents lives.

I have worked at Warmere court for a total of 9 years this year (November) I left college and then came straight into care work. I was unsure of what care was like as a job role but has been the best experience. I started as a support worker but now have exceeded onto becoming a Team Leader and an activity coordinator. I love the different aspects of my job and giving the service users I care for the best care I can.
I am also a guide leader in Littlehampton and have been doing that for 10 years which is a big part of my life and have taken Guides all over the world and made many memories. Caring for people is what I do best. I love working within the home and knowing that a small difference in their life makes a big impact. I love seeing my service users smile and knowing what I do at the end of the day is for them.
Every day is a different day in care which is what I enjoy! I have got to meet so many local families and have seen their loved ones at their best and their worst. That is really special to me.

My favourite time of the year within the home is at Christmas decorating the home for the service users and giving them presents. It is a nice family feel to the home.

During my time I have been welcomed with open arms.

I work in leading domestic services within the home, we have a great team ensuring all our service users have a clean and tidy environment. It is so imported that we ensure that infection control is adhered to in a care environment to protect all within our service. Its also lovely spending time with the service users and so rewarding.

Jez Stannard
Jez StannardJob Title:Maintenance OperativeJoined: 2025
I am Maintenance at Warmere Court and joined Shaw in February 2025.
Working 3 days a week, Monday, Tuesday & Friday suits me and the role really well.

My career has mainly been as an Operations Manager in electronics for over 30 years, however the last 7 years has been spent running my own Farm Shop business which was really full on, especially during the pandemic. My family all played their part but eventually 6 days a week, 10 hours a day was too much.

I’m a fidget and never stop so working at Warmere Court is perfect and very rewarding seeing the difference small improvements can make to the residents, the property itself its surroundings, it’s safety and the staff.

I love a To Do list of which I now have in abundance.

The staff at Warmere Court and the Maintenance advice I’ve received from others in a similar role has been heart-warming and really appreciated.

Onwards we go and remember, Everyday a little better!
