Our overall review is satisfied. Our mother is well cared for and most of her needs are met.
Our only issue is visitor seating! We have to collect chairs from the dining area so we can sit while visiting. I have discussed this with the manager.

St peter's Court is perfect for my mum. The care and support she is getting is outstanding. She is happy and very well cared for by all the staff. I was a little concerned over staff leaving, but I know the new staff are just as caring which has put my mind at ease. Although my mum has Alzheimer's she
is still quite active and she really enjoys the activities provided. Her hobby is dancing and St Peter's has provided all these activities and always includes my mum. Overall we as a family are happy with everything St Peter's Court has to offer and it's a comfort knowing my mum is happy.

Mum has been a resident in St Peter's Court for three years during which time she has been well cared for and is happy living there. Latterly, mum has been transferred into grace unit which is providing her with an increased level of care in order to meet her needs. Mum suffers from vascular dementia
and its reassuring to the family members that mum is safe, well cared for and happy.

Big relief. Dad needed a focus to work towards during his recovery from a broken hip and moving long term to St Peter's Court. From the start, staff have met, listened, laughed and talked with Dad as have residents, as Dad begins to settle in his new home. It is not easy for anybody leaving memories
and old homes but thank you to everyone helping in this transition.

The environment is clean, welcoming and well kept. The rooms are a decent size. The meals are to his taste. They are varied and well cooked. Staff are very friendly. I know Dad only has to ask and he can have what he feels like e.g. if he was peckish in the evening, he can ask for scrambled egg! We
visit regularly and not to a schedule. This review is based on those random visits.

Mum is a dementia sufferer and needed respite care when Dad was in hospital. The staff have all been amazing and Mum settled in very quickly, having tried a different home a few months ago. We are very happy she is safe here.

I reside contentedly on the ground floor of St Peter's. Walking into the attractive entrance there is a feeling of welcome - of mostly smiling faces and a most helpful and efficient staff always happy to help if you need it. The wide corridor ahead - seats on either side if you need a rest - we pass
a cosy library - entrance to our garden - so pleasant in the summer to sit and chat. The dining room on the left - a bit noisy sometimes but once all are seated and the food is served - it's all heads down. I believe that at St Peter's there is a most wonderful feeling of being safe - looked after and care for - love, love, love.

I think that St Peter's has a lovely, friendly atmosphere the moment you walk through the door. It is very tastefully decorated and absolutely immaculate, extremely well kept. The housekeeping and maintenance teams work hard keeping it to a high standard. The dining areas are all really nice and welcoming.
All the staff have a very hard working, caring and professional attitude towards the residents. The residents' rooms are of good size and with an en-suite.

I think all the staff are wonderful, loving and caring. I feel really looked after. I enjoy the meals (but the soft boiled eggs could be a bit more soft for dipping).

St Peter's Court took mum into respite care at a very difficult time for the family, which we will be eternally grateful. Beautiful building and very smiley staff, with nutritious and appetising food served at each meal. Two staff members, in particular, were very supportive of me as well as looking
after mums needs. Being new to the care environment, both mum and I appreciate this a great deal.

I just wanted to say the excellent, attentive service for my Nana is 100%. My Nana is well looked after especially the care from the nurse on the memory ward. Management of the home are extremely helpful.

The senior care assistant goes above and beyond her duty of care always putting the residents needs first. An asset to your care home and someone I have complete trust in with my loved one's care. For 3 years, my aunt has been a resident and she is now facing the end of her life. The senior care assistant
is making it possible that she has dignity, love and first class care for which my family and I will be eternally grateful. She is truly one in a million, all the staff involved with her care have been professional and caring always.

Father in law came into the home unable to get out of bed. He is now out of bed and has made excellent progress since his admission to St Peter's.

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“For me, kind care is adapting your service and support to every Resident’s wishes so that they are able to live how they want to.”


As a dedicated healthcare professional, Jamie has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Jamie closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. He extends this caring approach to his Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Jamie remarked:


“I am lucky to be part of a team of likeminded people who share my passion for providing the best care for our Residents in a comfortable and welcoming environment.”


Jamie’s proudest achievement is working hard to demonstrate his ability to progress from Deputy Home Manager to Home Manager within seven months. In spare time, Jamie likes fine art, being outdoors and spending quality time with friends and family.
