Cliveden Manor Care Home - Avery Collection

My wife stayed here while I was away. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The room was first class and she got involved in a number of activities. She found the staff extremely kind and helpful and they made her stay so enjoyable. A special thanks to every one of the staff for their excellent care and attention.

Thank you for looking after my mother. When I enter the reception and approach the welcoming desk there are too many objects on the desk. You can only just see the receptionist. I understand the raffle tickets, which will only be for a short time, but the 'review us' requests and staff recognition forms dominate the desk. Perhaps put them out of the way, but put a little note asking if the customer would like to leave a review, then the receptionists can give them a form?

When my father-in-law moved into Willows, it was clear that he would be receiving top-class care. Before he moved in, we were concerned about the state of his health, but thanks to the fantastic care and attention he has received from all the staff, he has been living a fulfilling life. His carers took the time to speak to our family to find out about his life and to get to know him well. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, always professional and attentive, and treat residents with dignity, respect and genuine affection. There are many activities organised, plenty of entertainment and trips to local attractions. The catering is excellent, and there is always a wide range of healthy meals on offer, along with regular tea and cake, which he will never say no to! All the staff at Cliveden Manor are delightful, but we would particularly like to thank the amazingly committed Willows staff for the incredible work they do to support our loved ones; it is truly appreciated.

My grandmother moved into Cliveden Manor last summer. I really enjoy visiting her there because I see how happy she is and how well she is being cared for. She talks a lot about the people she has met there and the activities that she goes to. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome.

Mum had a minor setback in January, unfortunately falling and breaking her wrist when she forgot to use her walking frame. After being discharged from hospital she returned to Cliveden Manor. The care and support that was provided to Mum was exceptional and is testament to her making a full recovery.

We, as a family, have been really impressed with the genuine care the staff have given both Mum and Dad. Their patience and friendliness and compassion have been outstanding. I honestly can’t think of a negative thing to say. Just thank you to everyone there who creates such a happy and homely environment.

I have been at Cliveden Manor for two weeks by way of researching a permanent home for my wife and I. We are reaching a point in our lives where we no longer want the burden of maintaining our own home and garden. Since being at Cliveden I have been thoroughly looked after and entertained. My research is now complete. We will definitely be returning to Cliveden together, once our affairs are in order.

Altogether a very excellent home.

Finding a suitable setting where both my parents could be together whilst having their individual needs met was difficult, however, we've found it at Cliveden Manor. From the first day, the staff have been exemplary. They are kind and compassionate and always take their thoughts and needs into account. The high-level, well-trained staff know each resident well, and there is an overall feeling of a well-run top hotel rather than a care home. The rooms and decor are beautiful, and the on-site restaurant is absolutely fantastic. There is a very well organised activities programme that caters for all interests and hobbies. The staff always make us feel welcome and one of the family. We've seen a huge difference in my parents. The worry of looking after themselves, cooking, cleaning and coping with the demands of each day has lifted, and they can now relax and be looked after. I sleep well at night, knowing they are both safe and happy. I would recommend Cliveden Manor without hesitation.

Extremely happy with Mum's care at Cliveden Manor. Mum has settled in really well to her new home. She enjoys the activities and entertainment and meeting new friends. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly.

My friend came to Cliveden Manor for rehab, and the provision has been outstanding. It is the "little things" and small touches that have made the difference. I have seen how happy she has been. All interactions with staff have been positive and professional, and there is always a calm and warm atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it.

Whenever I arrive to visit my father I feel as though I'm going around to a friend's house, such is the cheery welcome I receive from everyone. All of his medical, physical and emotional needs are met with true professionalism and warmth and he would be a lost soul if he wasn't there.

We knew of Cliveden from other relatives cared for there, so had no hesitation in asking for a convalescent place when Mum broke her hip. Despite changing medical needs, Cliveden clinical and care staff accommodated what was needed. Mum has now decided to stay, as she appreciates the care and activities, and managers have been accommodating in arranging for her own furniture, pictures and ornaments in a room she likes the location of. A few teething problems were efficiently dealt with. Cliveden has gone beyond the excellent hotel, caring and medical support to arrange many interesting activities, including accommodating specific cultural and religious preferences, e.g. a family meal in the private dining room for a festival and arranging a special baking activity for festival food. While the transition has been difficult for all, as Mum would have preferred to return home, she realises the benefits of Cliveden, and we are reassured she is well cared for by knowledgable, caring, professional staff.

Her apartment was nicely decorated, and the maintenance people responded quickly to any requests re-putting up pictures or checking her remote control.

My father moved to Signature Cliveden Manor in April 2022. He is a frail man who does not like change. However, after a period of settling in, he is safe, warm and well cared for, by a patient and understanding team. All members of the staff at Cliveden are open and available to answer our questions, and concerns and consider our requests. They are also willing to flex to his needs - including his desire to eat in his room rather than in the restaurant. The facilities at Cliveden are first-class - with an array of activities that I only wish Dad would embrace more. He is missing out by not joining in, but the team understand that Dad is content doing his own thing and after a period of cajoling, has recognised that his being happy in what he does is a success. To the manager and all the team - thank you.

A very welcoming and warm environment. All the staff seem to genuinely care about the residents and their needs. It's rare to walk past anyone who doesn't greet you and my dad is always spoken to by name, despite there being many residents and a large and enthusiastic support team. An exceptional home, in my experience, for the diverse range of activities that are on offer. My dad has been far and wide in the area, as well as being engaged in activities within the home. He can be rather withdrawn but gentle encouragement has seen him try out surprising experiences. Having lost his wife, my mother, over 6 years ago, Dad had always asserted that a care home would not be for him. It is a testament to this one that he trialled it and stayed! It's a pleasure to go there and visit my dad.
