My great aunt moved into Cliveden Manor last May following a fall and a short stay in hospital. We chose the home as the building and rooms are very nice, and all the staff were very friendly and efficient. I can honestly say the care my 96-year-old aunt has received has been amazing and exceeded my
expectations. She is so happy there - her health has improved, and she has said on several occasions she wishes she had moved there sooner! I would highly recommend the care home.

My mother moved in to Clivedon last month after being in hospital for 7 weeks and going home no longer being an option due to health reasons and needing nursing care. Her room is lovely and after adding some personal items from home is now very much her own space and she is very comfortable. The staff
are all welcoming and kind, very quick to respond to any queries or requests. The food is very good and after the long stay in hospital it is great to see mum regaining her appetite and looking forward to meal times. She has enjoyed the entertainment and the nail pampering, also being able to visit the on-site hair salon weekly is lovely. She has quickly made friends with other residents and is now feeling very settled. We visit her often but it is great to know that she is safe and well cared for at all times and also that she is happy and enjoying life.

Mum has been with Cliveden in dementia wing - The Willows - for 2 years and we are sadly having to move her for purely practical reasons.
The whole family has been treated exceptionally well at all times and I cannot flaw the professionalism and kind, caring approach all staff have shown to mum at
all times.
Mum had to go in alone, due to the first lockdown, and the staff were so patient and kind to her and all her family.
I have since been able to visit many times and have found nothing short of a fantastic professional attitude from everyone- carers, reception, management etc - along with an emotionally intelligent approach by all the staff.
Everyone has been happy to help out at all times, and carers have always shown a warm, sunny nature with nothing being too much trouble.
The food served is nutritious and activities put on diverse and fun. I will always remember Mum dancing to old favourites with the young, talented dancer who comes to help brighten resident days!

Thank you so much for these super kind words. We are going to miss your mum so much. She is an integral part of the Willows community and we wish her all the very best for the future. Please stay in touch! Kind regards, Jan

I have been in the care home for a fortnight and find the staff and residents friendly, making a happy atmosphere. I find my apartment very comfortable and beautiful. The service is excellent, and the meals are wonderful and very enjoyable. The apartment is kept very clean and hovered frequently. The
bed linen and duvets are changed every week, which is nice. I think it is wonderful having the activities each day and the advantage of having a hair salon which is very helpful indeed.

The team at Cliveden Manor were very helpful in arranging for our godmother to be admitted with good advice and guidance. We were really stepping into the unknown and very much appreciated the suggestions made and all the help and support.
The home is very impressive, with lovely rooms, spotlessly
clean, and our godmother appreciates the food very much. We had a very nice birthday coffee morning and were very touched by the thoughtful gift the home gave our godmother. All the staff are friendly and approachable. We have faced some challenges due to our godmother's health, but they have dealt with it really well. In her words, she is 'not a joiner', so is perhaps missing out on an impressive range of activities, but she is safe and comfortable, and above all, near her family, and we are always warmly welcomed when we visit.
Of course, there are minor niggles as with anything new, but we find the communication easy with the team, and they are very quick to respond.

Cliveden Manor is a lively, outward-looking establishment. The permanent staff constitute a group of happy and helpful professionals ranging from administration, activities, housekeeping, restaurant, carers and medical staff. As a new resident, I recognised an environment which was significantly different
from that to which I had been accustomed, but with the help of the friendly staff and fellow residents, I felt progressively ‘at home’.

We have been guided from the very beginning, by the staff, in what could have been a very stressful decision making time for our father. We feel confident we made the right decision as our father has settled in so well.
We are greeted by name and given a handover of what our father has been doing
when we visit. It reassures us he is happy.
A weight has been lifted off our shoulders as he gets the care equivalent to what we were giving as his daughters.
Our father is happy and safe, we can't ask for more than that.

After my dad died and my mum decided she no longer felt comfortable living at home on her own and moving into a care home seemed the best option. When she moved into Cliveden Manor, the staff went out of their way to make sure she felt welcome and at home. All the staff are kind, helpful and always
keen to understand Mum's individual needs. She now has lots of new hobbies, has made many new friends and is enjoying a new lease of life. We are very pleased with our choice of Cliveden Manor.

After a year of mental and physical decline, my fiercely independent mother agreed to a trial month in Cliveden Manor while my wife and I took a trip. After some initial confusion and reticence to leave her room, she started to relax, socialise, dine with other residents and enjoy life again. Returning
to the UK, we fully expected her to be standing at the door, bags packed, demanding to be taken home, but no, to our amazement and wonder she instructed us that she intended to stay at Cliveden. This is a testament to the care she has had from the Cliveden team, coupled with her realisation that living on her own at home is no longer viable for her and, frankly, less interesting and much more challenging than Cliveden. We now visit and socialise with her, confident that her safety and care needs are met 24/7. So, thank you, everyone, at Cliveden.

From the point that I first approached Cliveden Manor with a view to my mother becoming a resident, I cannot fault the communication, the care, the time spent with Mum, the efforts to provide Mum with much-needed stimulation and confidence, the dignity provided to Mum, the cleanliness and attractiveness
of all areas of the home, the quality of food, the Covid measures in place at all times. It's been exactly the experience we wanted Mum to have as she approaches the end of life. Faultless.

Mum moved into Cliveden Manor and settled well, with lots of careful planning and additional attention in her first weeks while settling in. It soon became apparent that her memory loss was more disabling than we had realised, so she moved to a smaller but equally comfortable room in the Willows wing
of the home, where she could have a higher level of support. The team in Willows are very caring and cheerful, and generally, show the right balance of respect and kindness. Mum has regular visits to the hairdresser, gets help with personal care and enjoys the wonderful meals provided. The environment is always clean and fresh, and a very pleasant place to be. A lot of effort goes into providing activities and entertainment. I would also like to give a big shout out to the manager and all the team who worked so hard to make us welcome, as well as the wonderful staff throughout. Thank you!

After my father passed away last year, we wanted to find an environment for my mother that enabled independence, but at the same time, offered daily support if needed – Cliveden Marlow has done exactly that.
The process of moving my mother into Cliveden went very smoothly, and since she has been there,
her needs have been met, and I have found the staff very approachable and responsive.
There is lovely energy in the building – spacious, clean and welcoming – it has also been great to hear about some of the activities my mother has taken part in.
Overall, I am very happy we choose Cliveden. It has given me peace of mind as my mother now lives in a safe and peaceful place.

Having had my parents living at home with me, I was reluctant to accept that the time had come to pass the job of caring for them to a nursing home. My dad needed palliative care, and my mum was unable to walk unaided.
The moment I walked into Cliveden Manor, the client care team were kind and supportive
and made the decision much easier. The staff are excellent from the manager, the nurses, the carers, the reception and activities teams to the cleaning staff, who I have met on my visits. So many of the people who work at the home have love, care and dedication, which shines through. My dad sadly passed away, and the compassion that Mum has received has really helped her through a difficult time. She says to me that the carers who look after her are" wonderful". She appreciates all their different personalities, talents and skills, and loves that they share stories of their lives and families with her, often having a laugh and a joke. What more could we ask.

My parents moved together into an apartment in Cliveden Manor in October 2021. Both fiercely independent, it was a difficult decision for them to make, but Cliveden Manor provided the perfect solution to their needs. It was wonderful to find a place where they could continue to live together in their
own apartment with their own bedroom, wet room and separate sitting room, including a kitchenette, but with the care and medical care, they need instantly to hand and of a high standard. Furnished with their own things, the apartment is home-like and comfortable. The home itself is finished to a very high standard, and the staff provide first-class care, tailored to the wishes and needs of the individual residents - it feels like a very friendly hotel. There is plenty to do but no pressure to join in. I have no hesitation in recommending Cliveden to anyone considering moving into residential care. It has certainly challenged my image of what residential care looks like.

My mother went to Cliveden Manor for respite care in December, and I was really happy with how she was looked after.
One lady manages new residents and did everything to ensure that Mum's stay was as enjoyable and comfortable as possible and made her room look just lovely! The facilities are great
- rooms are light and airy, and she and everything at hand.
After the first night, Mum said her aches and pains had gone! The underfloor heating definitely helped, and Mum really liked the bathroom that was very easy to use.
The staff put on lots of activities, and Mum did join in some, and there's a lot you can do if you want to, without there being any pressure to take part.
Mum only needed minimal day-to-day care, so they helped with washing her hair and simple needs.
I'd recommend Cliveden to anyone who is ready to move into a residential home; you can still have your independence whilst being supported.

We moved my father to Cliveden last year; we were concerned that a change of residence would be disturbing for him due to his increasing severity of dementia. The team at Cliveden were so welcoming, and their attention to residence needs is excellent, the result being he has settled in very well indeed
and enjoying living at Cliveden.
The team are responsive, always pleasant and treat both residents and families with the care and respect required in what can be a difficult situation emotionally and physically.

Mum moved into Cliveden Manor for a period of rehabilitation following a fall. The staff were unfailingly kind, helpful and considerate and went out of their way to support her convalescence. We found that any minor niggles were listened to and quickly resolved. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming.

Job Title: Clinical Home Manager Joined: 2024

I was born in Sunderland; however, my family emigrated to South Africa when I was a child, but I never forgot my roots and always knew I would return one day. I just didn’t know it would take me so long.

I completed my schooling and I enrolled on nursing. I qualified as a general Nurse, working a lot in the elderly people’s wards. After a few years, I transferred to paediatrics and ultimately settled in the Critical care units.

In 1990, I continued my training by specialising in Medical and Surgical Critical care with a speciality in Cardio-thoracic nursing. During my nursing career, I worked my way up from a Staff Nurse to a Deputy Nursing Manager of a 240-bed private hospital.

I returned to England in August 2018 and obtained my NMC pin by starting as a pre-registered nurse, completing the required English test, Nursing test and OSCE. I was lucky to be working within the Adult Social Care environment and was supported and mentored by my colleagues, and obtained my PIN in November 2018.

Following my successful enrolment with the NMC, I quickly worked my way up to becoming a Clinical Deputy Manager at a Care Home in London.

In 2022, I was chosen to be a Digital Champion for NCL. This role has allowed me to become involved in all the digital aspects of ASC and allowed me to share knowledge within our settings and obtain funding for the home to move from paper-based documents to digital technology.

On my days off, I love spending time with my children and grandchildren, reading a good book or just taking walks.

I am very committed to ensuring that our residents are at the centre of all that we do and are treated with care, dignity, and respect. I am always willing to listen to their concerns or just have a friendly chat.

I joined Cliveden Manor in March 2024 as a Clinical Deputy Manager. I completed my Level 5 Leadership and Management Programme in early 2025, and I was promoted from Clinical Deputy Manager to Clinical Home Manager in September 2025.

Job Title: Client Liaison Manager Joined: 2020

I joined Avery Health Care in 2020. Initially, I worked in Ascot Grange Home and I transferred to Cliveden Manor in August 2023.

I have been in sales for most of my career.

I worked with those who were requiring support in the property market and wishing to downsize which comes with personal involvement.

Having had to research a care home for my mother-in-law, I realised that the role of Customer Liaison Manager was one that I wished to pursue.

I thoroughly enjoy working in this environment, helping to support those looking for care or a lifestyle change for their family, it is rewarding to get to know the residents in such lovely surroundings and with the dedicated staff.

Job Title: Business Administrator

I started my career as an administrator in a primary school in 2013, I moved to the care industry in 2018 and haven’t looked back since. Every day is different and I love the challenge it brings! Avery is a wonderful company to work for and I feel privileged to be given the opportunity to grow. Our values and ethos make the workplace a happy and thriving environment, which is something I hope to contribute to when recruiting for the home. In my role, I support Cliveden with finding the best team and making sure all our staff are happy and feel valued no matter what job they do. I hope the team feel they can approach me for anything, and my door is always open, even if I don’t know the answer to the question – I’ll always give it a go!

Job Title: Dementia Care Manager Joined: 2023

I joined Cliveden Manor as a Dementia Care Manager in September 2023.

I previously worked as the Registered Manager at a Residential Home in Oxfordshire.

I worked there for 10 years, working my way up from care assistant through various roles and I was in the role of manager for over 4 years.

I have worked in the elderly care sector since 2011 and I knew straight away that it was a career that I wanted to follow.

I particularly have a passion for working with those living with dementia and doing all I can to enrich their lives.
My mother-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2009 and sadly passed away 6 years later. Helping to care for her made me realise that it was something that I wanted to do.

Cliveden Manor is a lovely home with a great reputation and I enjoy supporting my residents, family members and team members.
