A warm and friendly welcome to my respite was retained by all members of staff. Throughout my short stay, every request was dealt with promptness and in a good manner. Two personal medical emergencies were professionally and efficiently dealt with, without fuss by truly caring staff.

My mother was in Drayton Village for nearly 6 and a half years before she passed away on 12 August 2020. In her last few weeks the carers and staff could not have done any more than they could have done prior to her death. In the 6 and a half years she was at Drayton Village she was treated with the utmost respect and everyone was like her second family - just one big happy family.

Great care provided by a brilliant team of carers. As soon as the government talked about isolating, the home closed to keep the residents safe. We have been able to call, most days, to check up on our loved one but we also know they will call if there are any problems.

Thank you for your review. Safety has been at the top of our agenda for our residents and the team working in the home. Thankfully the stringent procedures put in place have ensured that everyone has been well cared for and life, inside the home, could carry on with the least impact on residents as...

I feel the home has done its utmost to keep my family updated on the care my mother has received through the trying times of the COVID-19. Not being able to see our mother because of the lockdown has been very upsetting but the staff and management have been absolutely brilliant.

I would recommend Drayton Village.

My mum has been kept safe and well looked after by all staff even during this difficult time for all of us and Drayton Village even went into lockdown 12th March to keep there residents and staff safe. Also during this time, I have kept in contact facetime with my mum which is most appreciated. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful no matter what time of day and I’m happy my mum is in a place getting the proper care and attention that she needs and knowing her needs are being met even though I can't be there with her, thanks to all the staff at Drayton Village.

My father lived in the home for 22 months, during this time we felt strongly as a family that he was well loved. He enjoyed his time here and the staff were AMAZING to him, even though at times he could be difficult. We were surprised and delighted that so many of his carers visited him in hospital in his last 2 weeks. Each and every member of staff that my wife and I encountered were true professionals and a credit to the home. We tell all our friends how lucky we were to have found this home for our father and cannot recommend the home highly enough.

My father has been a resident for 3 weeks, and to date, he is very happy there. The staff are very friendly to him and nothing is too much trouble. They clean his room daily, he loves the food and anything he needs doing is attended to by the caretaker. The office staff are very helpful and they always have time for you. I am very happy my dad is here.

We used this service as a respite so that myself and my husband could actually relax on holiday after many years of looking after my parents and always getting lots of phone calls from them wanting us to come home. I was apprehensive as I did not know what to expect but upon meeting with the staff before and on admission, my mind was put at total rest. The way in which the clients are spoken to is excellent and the residents all appear to be really happy together. On our return the first thing we did was pick dad up and although he wanted to get back to his own home he has since requested that when he can no longer live independently he would like to return there. He even said he missed the girls! I could not have asked for anything to make him happier.

The home provides good care for residential care (being our only experience). My mother was encouraged to participate in group events and enjoys the trips out that she goes on. The home is always kept clean and tidy although the quality of food would only be my query over, the overall rating given.

My Nan has always praised the staff that work here and make her feel safe. From an outside point of view, I feel the there should be more various activities to keep residents occupied especially if they don't get many visitors and I feel the staff are too thin on the ground. I do feel that there should be more staff, especially around busy eating periods and evenings/nights.
