My mother moved to Drayton Village 3 weeks ago. I am very impressed by the cleanliness and light and airy feel. The staff have been very supportive to Mum, myself and my brother. They have helped her settle in and are friendly, welcoming, attentive and caring. It was a relief to find a safe, secure and caring home for Mum.

Overall Experience

My uncle stayed here to get some respite care after being unwell. The manager made him feel very welcome and spent a lot of time personally attending to get my uncle settled. What surprised me is I saw the manager giving this level of personal attention to all the residents. The staff were all friendly but also very professional. They were careful with all his medicine and checked and followed his prescriptions. They were patient with him, ensured he followed their instructions. The staff notified me whenever there was a problem and gave excellent advice. My uncle's room was comfortable with all mod-cons and they were happy to change his mattress to a style he preferred and there was a range of social areas also. Overall the care he received was excellent and allowed him to return home earlier than expected in good health and spirits. We would be more than happy to have my uncle stay here again.

Overall Experience

Our situation was temporary respite care whilst my nan's permanent accommodation was arranged. Generally we have had a good experience at Drayton Village, carers are caring and treat with dignity. On occasions nan has been washed and dressed later than expected (after 10.30) but not too often. Main areas of improvement are for those individuals that prefer to be in rooms. Meals are served to them after the dining room so often cold. Also there is not a lot of human interaction during afternoon if not in lounge.

My husband has been in the care home since 22/4/15 he settled in straight away, he has dementia, a few months ago a new manager was bought in. Things have changed quite a lot for the best, we don't find agency staff anymore which is great. I have recommended people to the care home and am continuing to do so. We were invited for a lunch and entertainment today 3/11/15 it was fantastic and everyone was lovely, a good day was had by all.
