My aunt has been a resident at Puddingstone Grange for over a year. The rooms are always spotless, warm and comfy. The staff from the manager to the cleaners are all very helpful and kind. I love the openness. The home set out for meals and the food is very good, presented with great care. I would be happy to end my days here, and I would recommend it highly.

I found the home to be very clean and tidy. On arrival, I received a warm greeting at reception. The lounge and eating areas were clean and tidy and plenty of staff were available for residents needs. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. Tea and coffee was offered as required.

Puddingstone Grange is a well run and well-managed facility catering for the elderly and infirm as well as those with dementia. The Manager and staff are wonderful and very caring and considerate to the residents. My one concern is that my sister pays the full fees, as she is self-funding, whereas residents funded by Social Services pay a fraction of the fees.

I was so pleased and happy to see how well my mum was in her new home and surroundings. In particular how kind and caring the staff were with how they were making my mum feel relaxed and comfortable. I would really like to say that I could not wish my mum to be in another place other than Puddingstone Grange. Everyone I met all spoke very caringly about my mum and I cannot thank them enough for making her so very very happy and relaxed. My sincere thanks go to all the staff and management at Puddingstone Grange. Thank you.

Accommodation is first class. I have only met a few of the staff on my visits so far, and they have all been most understanding and helpful.

My brother has only been here for 2 weeks - I therefore am not fully aware of some of the details needed to complete this review honestly.

Due to the closure of mum's previous home she transferred to here. At all times Avante were professional and caring in the process. For both mum and us they made the transition easy in every way no doubt a lot of work on their part. They made sure that some of the staff form the previous home transferred along with the small group of residents. Therefore they are very well aware of each of the groups needs. In mum's case she can be afraid, they are very understanding and cope with her extremely well on her off days. The home is very spacious, clean and the bedroom contains a wet room excellent!. The staff interacted with all the residents. Have just experienced mothers day and afternoon tea events.

Don't know what you pay your staff but it's not enough!
Having mum in care is disheartening and worrisome. The team ALWAYS know how mum's going, what has been happening for her.
I live about as far away as possible and only come to the UK once or twice a year.
It's very reassuring to know mum is in such good hands.

- Bottom of my heart - thank you.

I am very pleased with the care and attention that is given to our uncle in all respects. The home is always warm, friendly and clean. The residents are well looked after, we leave the care home knowing that all is well concerning my uncle.

In my opinion, the staff at Puddingstone Grange are what makes this care home feel like a blessing.
Having had disheartening experiences of several different care homes previously over the last 6 years, (due to my elderly grandparents.).
I can honestly say, Puddingstone Grange is a league above the rest ... When visiting my grandad at Puddingstone, the home is always clean. The residents themselves always look clean and cared for. I love the fact that the staff seem to have an individual understanding of each residents personality, they don't just know their names, they know who the residents once were, and cater to their individual needs.
Sadly (or not) my grandad still believes his wife (soul mate) is still alive. And on occasions he will get very agitated because he can't find her, the staff - rather than trying to explain she's no longer here, they sit him next to a female resident who he then believes is his wife. My grandad then finds peace. ?? I love this.

My dad and I always feel welcomed by all staff. Through them we too are learning and getting to know the other residents to whom my grandad now resides with. I truly believe the staff especially in my grandads section are what gives it a family feel, and most importantly for us we always have peace of mind when leaving :)

I am delighted to give my thorough recommendation to the staff of Puddingstone Grange. I have been arranging a funeral of one of the residents and a remembrance service for a member of staff who died recently. The manager has been absolutely brilliant, giving me a wonderful warm welcome with kind hospitality. The home radiates human love and care, I really do feel that everyone matters and are considered with individual concerns and care. This care home has more of a feel of a home than an institution. I'm looking forward to monthly visits to the home for residents and staff. Thoroughly recommend with festive gratitude.
