Puddingstone is a wonderful home. Very well kept. Clean and modern. The carers are patient and attentive. The management takes an interest in all the residents instead of just pen pushing.

My brother has been in Puddingstone for several years he has severe Parkinsons and dementia and his moods are very variable. I visit regularly and have been impressed with the understanding and care by the staff in all circumstances; that the staff consistently show such a level of love is a reassuring comfort for relatives and reflects the exemplary management for which I would express my gratitude. It cannot be the easiest of jobs.

My mother received wonderful care at Puddingstone. All of the staff worked hard to make the home a happy place which was filled with love and joy. My mum was very happy here and made lots of friends. There was a very good staff:resident ratio - much better than other care homes I visited. The overall atmosphere in the home was spacious, bright, cheerful and very welcoming.

The Drummond Ward were fantastic in their care for my father during the 3.5 years he was in their care. They were patient, caring, understanding and friendly and treated my father with dignity and respect. My father felt safe and well cared for, I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone who asked for my advice.

They are always very attentive - asking if mum is ok or if she wants anything. Mum clearly likes their friendship and smiles often when she sees them - they even give her hugs, which is lovely and so very kind. One member of staff is very good at keeping her busy and they have a very nice relationship.

The home is clean, you never see any resident dirty or distressed and the food is very good. The rooms are kept clean and tidy and linen is changed daily. The resident's beds are comfortable and adjustable. Side lamps are touch control. All rooms have ensuite which are kept clean. There are numerous events for residents throughout the year. My mother often had food prepared which she requested. The staff were all engaging. She enjoyed the massage sessions she had. There is a hairdresser but mum never wanted her haircut. The home does well with the residents it has.

My mum has vascular dementia and has been at Puddingstone Grange for 4 years.
She is always very well looked after and content.
There was an issue at the home that the council was unable to sort out.
The care home, Puddingstone Grange, however, took it on itself to make sure that this was resolved.

The manager bent over backwards to ensure that the matter was quickly resolved and I can't thank her enough.

My mother has been a resident of Puddingstone Grange for one year. I cannot recommend the care and facility highly enough. The atmosphere when I visit (which is often) is always one of peaceful happy security. All residents are invited to take part in the many activities. The barbecue held in the garden was a great success, the fact that all residents have their birthdays celebrated individually enhances personal identity.

Mum was transferred here from another Avante home that closed. The main living space upstairs is bright, airy and spacious and has a good size balcony area.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff in the section my mum was in. The care, consideration and attention given to residents was second to none.

Brilliant staff. Mum is extremely well cared for, she has mental issues and the staff cope with her admirably. She is certainly a challenge but they know her well and she is well liked by the staff. The home is always extremely well kept and clean. We are always kept informed about her well-being. They make visitors very welcome.

This home has very high standards excellent caring staff and it shows in how happy the residents are.

My mother has been resident at Puddingstone Grange for over 3 months and has settled in very well. She is happy in her new environment. This is due to the excellent care and attention given by the dedicated staff. It is truly wonderful to see how the staff at all levels have developed a relationship with mother. She trusts them and is relaxed. This care home is organised with attention to detail. All the staff seem to work as a team with everybody creating a warm and homely atmosphere. I have seen several incidents where residents have had physical difficulties and the carers have dealt with these situations gently and compassionately.
