Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees
for respite stays.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

The lovely Customer Relations Manager at Scarlett House, Stroud; well, this is one hell of a lady you have on your team at Scarlett House.
My late mum was there for a short period 27/2/20 - 21/3/20. As Mum had been in hospital since the new year, Scarlett House was highly recommended by friends of
mine who’s loved ones spent their final time on this earth there. I knew Mum was looking at end of life care and Scarlett House did exactly that and more, not only for Mum but myself and family too.
The Customer Relations Manager fought with everything she had to get my mum moved in ASAP and carried on even after Mum took up residency.
Every single one of the team who looked after Mum needs to pat themselves on the back as they did a great job looking after my mum and every other resident there. My mum loved the banter and sarcasm with the lovely male carer, as she got as good as she gave, and even another carer who brought a tear to my eyes was singing with her. They all do a tremendous job, one which I couldn’t do as it’s not easy when some are difficult and rude to them, even though they don’t realise they are, my Mum was one of them. Dementia is a very cruel disease and Mum's escalated within weeks of being diagnosed but I’m thankful that she still knew who we were right up to near the end. And very thankful she was in Scarlett house.
So the Customer Relations Manager really needs an award if you do them as she is truly one in a million and I will be eternally grateful to her.

Everyone we came into contact with at the home was so helpful and friendly and made what could be a traumatic dreaded experience so smooth. When in a situation when you have to put a parent into care the ‘can do’ attitude of everyone at Scarlet House was so reassuring.
Although my father spent a
relatively short time in the home before passing, as a family we felt we could breathe as we knew he was in the best place.
Towards the end, the staff were so amenable with all the restrictions of COVID-19 ensuring the family had contact and he knew people cared and he was not alone. This has given us solace and we will be eternally grateful.

I cannot recommend Scarlett House highly enough. We had tried to convince my mother who is 97-years-old for the last 10 years that she would really be better off in a care home but she flatly refused to even talk about it. We were so happy when my mum had to go into a home in December and we were able
to get her into Scarlet House. She absolutely loves it there. She has a lovely room with a view over the common. There are kind helpful carers, you can visit whenever you want to, home-made meals and even allowed a glass of wine.
The ladies in the admin office are also extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble, though they don't have a spare minute in the day, you are always made to feel welcome if you need to talk to them about something.
Thank you everyone but especially the carers who have made my mum so content and happy. Definitely 10/10!

We are so appreciative of the quality of care my mother has received since she moved to Scarlet House on a respite contract in September. She was in a very fragile state having spent the previous 4 months in hospital, at times, critically ill.
It has not been an easy transition for her to make but
every member of staff at Scarlet House made her - and us - feel welcome and reassured. Having visited a number of homes prior to choosing Scarlet House, the stand out features for me are the bright and cheerful environment, the range and frequency of activities for residents, the personal attention and care offered and the way in which relatives/friends are made to feel very comfortable as visitors and carers. The difference in my mother's condition within a month was remarkable and she began to be able to do things again that she had not been able to for some time before her hospital stay - exercising, going out to the cinema, improving her mobility and socialising.

My brother and I are very happy that our mother is a resident now in Scarlet House, following a period of respite care at the home after a long hospital stay. She is very settled in her room and so much less anxious than when she was trying to cope in her own home. The staff are most attentive and caring
- nothing is too much trouble - and they go about their responsibilities with cheerfulness and professionalism. I am kept informed when my mother is unwell or just not her usual self. There is a genuine family feel about Scarlet House, making the home feel really like a "home".

As a family, we are extremely happy with Scarlet House. On entering the building there is always a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Excellent facilities for the residents and always something to occupy the residents on a daily basis. Staff are extremely helpful day to day. Regularly asked if, as relatives
of the residents, there is any more that can be done or improve on with regards to the level of care. The answer is almost always no as we are kept well informed.

My sister and I have visited our dad on Ocean floor 3 times from Canada. Each time we are absolutely amazed with the care and love that each staff member shows to all residents here.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

Having previously led the team at Winchcombe Place I’m excited and feel privileged to lead a new team and ensure that everyone’s supported, working together and managing a team I’m proud of.


I started my working career after studying for a Pharmacology degree, which led me to work in a community pharmacy and after hearing all the wonderful things about Care UK I wanted to try something new in my career, so I joined Care UK.


Previously at Care UK I was Deputy Manager at Winchcombe Place and have taken part in the Future Home Manager Program to help me develop my skills and understanding of home to be a successful home manager.


Within my role, I believe you need to be knowledgeable in a wide range of key areas, responsible, approachable efficient and understanding which has helped me develop a successful team.


Outside of work, I love to dance and previously I’ve been featured on television in a dance competition.
