Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Our Dad was at Scarlet House for around 8 months before his recent passing. From the start, the staff were unfailingly patient and kind, and dealt with his dementia expertly. His passing was so gentle and dignified and we will be forever grateful to them. Lovely people!

My father moved into Scarlet House in August last year, and died this weekend. For the entire time he lived there, he was treated with the most incredible compassion and care by every member of staff. He had dementia so couldn't remember very much, but he always remembered how nice the food is and how
lovely the staff are! Through this last week when he entered his final days, I have been overwhelmed by the dignity that he has been treated with. He has had the most dignified death I could possibly have imagined or wished for. My family are so grateful that we found Scarlet House. It has exceeded all my expectations of residential care. Thank you everyone!

The first thing that struck me when I began to live in this home was the friendly nature of all the staff. That has continued throughout my stay. Nothing is too much trouble. From the manager to the latest recruit, their sole aim is to please the client. It was not my choice to be a full-time resident
before, circumstances changed that decision and this was definitely the right one.

Scarlet House is a lovely clean care home, bright and airy. The coffee hub is a great asset in getting residents gathering and chatting with visitors. This area nearly always has a great vibe. On the odd occasion it's empty, guess there's been other activities on as there are quite a lot of these. Rooms
are comfortable and adequate Especially with so many places to go. There's a cinema with a bar, quiet rooms, lounges, a garden and clean dining rooms. Overall a great place.

My mother suddenly lost her sight in June 2024 and was admitted into Scarlet House urgently. Her care has been mostly neglectful until my brother and I contacted the CEO and adult social care having complained to manager, deputy manager and care team, with none or little change. It was only after my
mother fell in her bathroom and broke both hips and was hospitalised that things improved and a safe guarding inspection was carried out. I am much happier with her care now but it has been a long fight to improve it.

My mum has been living in the home since March 2024, she has adapted well and she is content and relaxed. Also she has had less medical problems since she has been at the home. We have had a rough year but the staff have supported us as well as taking good care of our mum. The home was hit with a D&V
virus in November and quickly got their system in place to deal with it and with the nursing and care the residences received prevented a lot of them going to hospital. We have enjoyed the events through the year and feel part of the home.

Scarlet House has a nice atmosphere, very welcoming. Staff are always pleasant and keep me informed of changed or concerns with dad. Lots of effort made with activities and all residents being included when they want too. Dad has taken a while to settle in but he has enjoyed the Christmas period here

We first encountered Scarlet House for a respite stay for my husband in 2024. However after a lengthy hospital stay it was not possible to continue to be cared for at home. He was admitted to Scarlet House. This has proved a successful move, he is monitored and cared for and with his developing dementia

My Mum has been a resident in Scarlet House for over 4 years now. We can not praise the staff on the unit and managers enough for the exceptional care that Mum is receiving.
The activities schedule is really good to and residents are encouraged to take part.

Suzanne Tullet

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

Having previously led the team at Winchcombe Place I’m excited and feel privileged to lead a new team and ensure that everyone’s supported, working together and managing a team I’m proud of.


I started my working career after studying for a Pharmacology degree, which led me to work in a community pharmacy and after hearing all the wonderful things about Care UK I wanted to try something new in my career, so I joined Care UK.


Previously at Care UK I was Deputy Manager at Winchcombe Place and have taken part in the Future Home Manager Program to help me develop my skills and understanding of home to be a successful home manager.


Within my role, I believe you need to be knowledgeable in a wide range of key areas, responsible, approachable efficient and understanding which has helped me develop a successful team.


Outside of work, I love to dance and previously I’ve been featured on television in a dance competition.
