Scarlet House builds and repairs the elderly! My father has been there for five months and has fully recovered from a nasty fall and months in hospital. The staff 'deal' with him patience and humour. They are experts in suggesting and problem-solving for those who are confused or need help. I always receive a warm welcome and I would fully recommend the home. They share the load for families at a difficult time.
Overall we were very pleased with Scarlet House and would have no hesitation recommending it to others.
It's great to hear that they were happy with the care provided at Scarlet House. In regard to your comment about the food, we are sorry that your Aunt felt the meals could have been hotter, all residents need to do is ask and requests are accommodated. We unfortunately do not reheat food in the...
The staff are very good. They are very kind to my friend. She has lived in Scarlet House for a couple of months now. She really loves it there. She really enjoys the Knit and Natter activity.
My auntie was admitted to Scarlett House in January 2023. She suffers from dementia but is very happy there. She is barely self-caring and enjoys company and being up and about. However, sometimes communication is sometimes poor as I have to ask staff continuously to check her clothing and cleanliness as she will wear the same clothes for weeks at a time. Otherwise, everything is fine.
We are glad to hear your auntie is very happy with the care and lifestyle at Scarlet House. We are sorry to read your comments about the communication, we do work hard to maintain communication with families, and we would like to reassure you that the manager's door is always open if you wish to discuss anything.
Very good staff and home.
My auntie is being well looked after. The staff are doing a wonderful job. The staff is smashing on reception.
Very friendly care home and my father seems content, well looked after and cared for. Particularly love the coffee shop and garden where we can meet up with other friends.

From our first contact we were treated with kindness and respect and this was the experience of my father as well. A care home can never replace your own home but every effort was made to make Dad's stay as welcoming and as comfortable as possible. The home has some great staff and they do go the extra mile to help people settle in and be comfortable. Unfortunately, Dad deteriorated fairly quickly and passed away a month ago. This was another area in which the staff really helped and supported both us as a family and Dad until his final hours and beyond. A big thank you for your kindness, your patience and your understanding from us all.

We contacted Scarlet House in need of urgent care for my father. The staff acted speedily, professionally and with great kindness and my father was moved in the next day. At every step, they have exceeded our expectations and every member of staff has been so kind, caring and professional. Thank you to all of you.

Very sadly, despite brilliant care by staff, paramedics and doctor, my father-in-law deteriorated rapidly and passed away after 6 days.
We cannot praise highly enough the care and love shown to him and our family by each and every member of staff that we met.
He felt safe and cared for at all times and the staff were with us every step of the way through this difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble and we will be forever grateful to everyone at Scarlett House for their professionalism, kindness and willingness to do whatever was needed to help us all.
They are all very special people.
All bedrooms have adjoining shower rooms. Housekeeping staff maintain a good standard of cleanliness and hygiene. The facilities of the dining room offer an opportunity to meet other able-bodied residents like myself. The carers do a good job of waiting at tables and dishing up meals, getting to know residents' preferences. Roast beef is a prime meal. The coffee shop is always a novelty to meet friends and the circulation of a weekly events sheet led by the well-being staff is commendable. Caring staff look out for your everyday needs. When I returned from hospital, I was set up with an air bed.

Meet the Team (1)

Becoming a Home Manager at Scarlet House has been the highlight of my career so far. Before this, I was working as a Team Leader. I really wanted an opportunity to progress in my career, and that’s something Care UK has offered.
As Home Manager, it’s important to be caring, compassionate and have a good eye for detail. You also need to have good interpersonal skills and be diligent, hardworking and committed to the home.
I love seeing the residents enjoying activities in the home – it's my favourite part of my working day. I’m proud to work with a fantastic team that makes a difference in residents’ day-to-day lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy family life, and my other interests include music and cars.
