Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

We contacted Scarlet House in need of urgent care for my father. The staff acted speedily, professionally and with great kindness and my father was moved in the next day. My father-in-law needed to find a care home urgently and the staff at Scarlett House helped us with great speed, professionalism and kindness.
Very sadly, despite brilliant care by staff, paramedics and doctor, my father-in-law deteriorated rapidly and passed away after 6 days.
We cannot praise highly
enough the care and love shown to him and our family by each and every member of staff that we met.
He felt safe and cared for at all times and the staff were with us every step of the way through this difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble and we will be forever grateful to everyone at Scarlett House for their professionalism, kindness and willingness to do whatever was needed to help us all.
They are all very special people.

All bedrooms have adjoining shower rooms. Housekeeping staff maintain a good standard of cleanliness and hygiene. The facilities of the dining room offer an opportunity to meet other able-bodied residents like myself. The carers do a good job of waiting at tables and dishing up meals, getting to know
residents' preferences. Roast beef is a prime meal. The coffee shop is always a novelty to meet friends and the circulation of a weekly events sheet led by the well-being staff is commendable. Caring staff look out for your everyday needs. When I returned from hospital, I was set up with an air bed.

The care and compassion provided was excellent, from the moment we came for a look around to the end of life.
The environment is welcoming when you always enter the door and all staff knew the residents. All the residents always looked happy when you walk through the home.

My mther was at Scarlet House for 8 years. We were very happy with her care, in particular we valued the kindness and warmth of the staff and the genuine affection they showed towards my mother. She was always treated with great kindness and respect. The staff were always very professional in dealing

My mother-in-law has been a resident at the home for the past 4 years plus. The staff look after and take time with her even in very busy periods, her health had ups and downs she is always cared for excellently.

Mum has been at Scarlet House for just over 3 years, she always seems content when I visit, her room is clean and fresh, the staff are friendly, and I’m kept up to date with any issues that arise. Mum couldn’t be in a better place, I sleep better knowing that she’s safe.

Really happy with how Dad has a home at Scarlet House. The staff are all so so lovely, every part of the team - from the front desk to the carers and nurses! They genuinely all take such an interest in Dad and his welfare. Thank you guys so much, the staff are truly lovely nurses who help put a smile
on my face when dealing with some of Dad's health issues. The admin staff, you guys are brilliant too for all the 'Dad-min'. My dad's and all the other epic carers, keep up the great work. It really helps me and my brother rest easier knowing Dad has got some people there for him when we can't always be with him.

Scarlet House has a lovely environment because the staff really care about the people there and are very helpful to the visitors. Lots of good facilities and I’m told by my dad that the food is great, the menu seems to change daily also.

My father has always received excellent care at Scarlet House and is always spoken of by the staff with great affection. Over recent months, his level of function has gradually lessened as a consequence of his advancing dementia. In contrast, the level of care and the affection shown by the staff has

I would like to express my thanks to Scarlet House for helping to make my mother's 90th birthday memorable.
We had a lovely family party there with food provided - including a delicious Birthday Cake.
The staff are friendly and always seem to go beyond what would be expected as part of their job.
Nothing is too much trouble for them.
They have made Mum feel comfortable and at home there.

Very pleased after visiting my father at Scarlet House. The team there did so much to make our few days there enjoyable and special. We could also see the care they took with my father and in making him comfortable. The Customer Relations Manager and Deputy Manager took time with us, listened and shared
all they do it and how they do it. We left feeling that he is in the best place to offer the care he now needs and provide the best life experience possible. Our thanks to the entire team.

The person-centred care at Scarlet House is outstanding. The staff take the time to really get to know the residents and care for them as individuals. Scarlet House is a happy place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My mother is well-settled here, and her dementia care is good. I know she is safe
and enjoys a good variety of activities and that she feels content and happy.

  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

Becoming Home Manager at Scarlet House has been the highlight of my career so far. Before this, I was working as a Team Leader. I really wanted an opportunity to progress in my career, and that’s something Care UK has offered.


As Home Manager, it’s important to be caring, compassionate and have a good eye for detail. You also need to have good interpersonal skills and be diligent, hardworking and committed to the home.


I love seeing the residents enjoying activities in the home – it's my favourite part of my working day. I’m proud to work with a fantastic team that makes a difference in residents’ day-to-day lives.


Outside of work, I enjoy family life, and my other interests include music and cars.
