During my respite stay I was well looked after at Horley Park and I enjoyed the meal times and entertainment provided. All of the carers and staff were friendly and helpful

Like a 4/5 star hotel. All the staff are very kind and understanding from the first person you see at the reception desk and throughout the home.

My wife is in very capable hands, with carers and nurses always on hand to help when needed. Staff are very polite and nothing is too much for them to help any resident.

The care and residential home is designed as there are three floors - the upper floor takes care of the dementia cases. Also, there is a hair salon and a cinema room. There are also several lounges and activities are arranged for the afternoons including a visit by animal keepers with their pets - so that the residents are able to touch and hold some of the animals - also outside visits can be arranged.

My mum has been cared for, for 9 months now since she has been here she has come on leaps and bounds. What I've been particularly impressed with, is the staff has taken a personal interest in my mum's needs. They have listened to her and humbly applied to her needs. Humility is a rare quality today so when it is seen it is a joy.

Excellent nursing home. Top grade rooms, facilities and good food. Activities for residents provided on most days and very good ratio staff to residents with sufficient trained nurses also always on duty. Friendly with an open culture. Regular residents/family meetings. Parking can be a problem.

Overall Experience

My mother-in-law moved from having spent 6 months in hospital to Gracewell. She has completely changed, she is gaining weight, stimulated and very well cared for. At Gracewell they care for the whole person giving a quality of life. They work with us and try to accommodate our requirements of when to get her up etc. No matter who you ask what sort of day she has had they can all answer and know her by name. They know her likes and dislikes, they know her as a person. They understand that Alzheimer patients can be difficult and sometimes rude but they always smile. This is a home I would recommend to my mother should the need ever arise.

My mum moved in about 7 months ago and since we have been coming to see her we have see her flourish with activities, good food, and tender loving care.

Her weight has increased by 3 stone. Mentally she is happy and fulfilled and we think the home is first class.

My father has been in this home for nearly 2 years. The care provided is friendly and keeps my father happy in life. There has been many changes in the home but the quality has stayed good, as a person that expects his relative to be cared for properly, I have no regrets in recommending this home to anyone.
