Fremantle Court

Would be good to have more continuity of staff, some staff excellent, others less so. My mother dislikes much of the food.

On arrival, I was shown to my room, the daily procedure was explained, and the arrangements were made for assistance with my morning shower. The carers did my eye drops 4 times a day. They always found me at the appointed time and treated me with care and kindness. Activities laid on in the morning and afternoon were managed in a friendly happy manner with attention to those who needed assistance. Areas were clean and well cared for. Meals were at set times many having them in their room. Meals are ordered in advance and alternatives are available. Many areas inside and outside where you can relax and a TV lounge. The staff were always kind, patient and available. They checked on you when you were in your room and asked if you required a drink or snack, and also during the night to check if you were okay. Alarms are fitted in your room to call for assistance. Visitors are always welcome and if able could be taken out with friends. They work hard.

He was very happy during his restbite time and wasn't keen to leave. The family were made extremely welcome. I couldn't find fault with any aspect of his short stay. He missed everyone on his return home. Many thanks to all the staff at this wonderful care home.

My brother has been in your care home for several weeks now we have found the home to be excellent in all aspects. The staff and management are first class - the activities are also excellent. My brother has settled in well, participates in activities and tells us the food is very good. We are pleased we made the decision to place him in Fremantle Court.

I needed respite care in the Henley Wing. The care I received during my stay was first class and all these staff were very friendly and kind at all times, and so very glad I chose Fremantle Court, as my previous experience at another care home was shocking!

My mother receives excellent care from permanent staff, some of whom are exemplary. However, agency staff are useless. I feel confident in having my mother reside at Fremantle Court.

Mum sadly passed a few days ago after a year of being wonderfully cared for at Fremantle. The staff was always friendly and helpful, particularly for us, those in reception who greet visitors so cheerfully, the home manager who runs the home so very well and makes an effort to know the individual residents, the wonderful nurses and carers on Waddesden and the home's hairdresser. All work so hard to make the residents and their visitors comfortable. In these last few difficult weeks, they could not have been kinder or more helpful. We can't thank them enough.

Fremantle Court has exceeded our expectations.

Very clean throughout the building. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Whenever we have asked staff about queries with regards to my mother-in-law we always get feedback and any concerns are dealt with in a very pleasant and helpful manner. The services offered are also very good, especially the activities which my mother-in-law enjoys very much.

My mother moved into Fremantle Court in November 2023 and settled in extremely well. December was jam-packed with activities. All staff are focused to make residents feel safe and happy. There are always welcoming smiles and laughter. As a visitor, I always feel at home and have every confidence that the team will give mum support to enhance and understand her dementia needs. I would recommend this home. The layout is bright and sunny and doesn't feel like a care home. Very lucky to have found this on our doorstep.

Mum is very well cared for. The team are all aware of Mum's ways and preferences. There is a very warm and caring environment and feel to Fremantle Court. In her own world Mum seems calm and content. The team do a very difficult job very well.

My mother has been in Fremantle Court for four years and has always been treated well and with respect. She remains very happy in their care as do I.

It would be nice to hear some light music on the wing, in order to brighten the atmosphere.

There seems to be quite a turnover of staff on the wing.

I feel some concern due to the lack of visible staff around the lounge/dining area in Waddesden wing, sometimes I have wanted to speak to someone but no one has been around. Also concerned that if the residents need help there will not be anyone there. However, when mum has needed help someone has been there for her and are patient and caring. They have a good selection of activities.

Excellent purposed designed building! Full facilities for coping with very infirm, bedridden patients with advanced Alzheimer's.

The carers were extremely professional and used every skill and effort in looking after my wife. She was carefully supervised and supported, both mentally and physically and was made to feel as much at home as it was possible to do. They also showed great care and support for me and I was welcomed as a friend and family member every time I visited. It was my home as well. They were not just carers, they were friends and family to my wife and myself.

The carers on Henley Wing could not be more devoted to the residents in their care, but they are spread thinly and understaffed. Especially at night when staff and security are called into question for both staff and residents.

The care team have made my mother's short stay wonderful for her. The difference is amazing. The whole team works to make her very welcome. The food was excellent as was the whole facilities.
