I like the way the workers treat residents, this is the most important.
I also like the facilities there.

My mother has been a resident for nearly 3 years now and has just celebrated her 98th birthday. No longer able to easily leave Fremantle Court to go out to celebrate, the home provided a delicious spread of party food so the whole family could visit her in the privacy of a function room - well done - and once again, my mother was well dressed by the attentive and caring staff. My mother feels at home, thank you.

I found all staff, from the manager to admin and wing to be very professional and took the time to get to know my mother who was a resident for respite care. They were all friendly and treated residents with respect and dignity. They took on board the fact that my mother loved gardening and her need for fresh air by giving her a ground floor room with access to a small garden area. A relief to know she was in such capable and safe hands.

After visiting my mother in law we always feel uplifted in the knowledge that she’s well cared for and safe. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and you feel that this attitude pervades the whole building. The bedrooms and public areas are clean, bright and modern but homely as well and there’s a real sense of fun about the place. I have not felt that in other homes I’ve worked in or visited over the past few years. We recently celebrated her 98th birthday at Fremantle and it was a very joyous occasion for her and the whole family. A chance for us all to be together and share the day with the birthday girl! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the quality of the food was extremely high. I would have no hesitation in recommending Fremantle Court for dementia care.

We arranged for my mother-in-law to receive two weeks respite care at Fremantle Court to enable my wife and I to have a break after nine months of challenging caring. Throughout the process from initial enquiry; confirming accommodation availability and date of arrival; care during the two weeks and collection at the end of her stay, the staff were courteous and professional and made our family feel very welcome. My mother-in-law was a changed person when she came home and although the nature of her dementia meant that this didn't last long, the temporary improvement was extremely welcome.

Should we wish to take advantage of respite care in the future, Fremantle would be our first choice.

During the short time that my mother was a resident at Fremantle Court, she was treated with the utmost care, attention and dignity.

Unfortunately, my mother's health declined more rapidly than expected and her stay was cut short to only a few days. However, she received excellent end of life care during that short time period and the whole family were very well supported by the staff at such a difficult time.

My mother has been a resident for three years and I have always been impressed with the care she has consistently received over this time, from the dedicated team. She recently celebrated her 98th birthday with all her family around her. The staff, led by the manager, really went the extra mile to ensure that everything went smoothly with suitable decorations, montages of pictures from her memory book and favourite music chosen. The chef prepared a great buffet which topped it off perfectly. We continue to be so grateful for the attention to detail and the individual care provided.

My wife and I are so grateful to the team at Freemantle for the expert care given to Mum. We always visit unannounced and without exception find her beautifully dressed and cared for. She is treated with kindness and respect. She enjoys her food very much and it has been good to see that she eats well, something she had lost interest in prior to becoming a resident at Freemantle. We should say that Mum faces the challenge of being virtually blind as well as having dementia and the team, without exception are wonderful.

Yesterday I went to visit a friend. The home is warm and welcoming. Also, it is clean. The staff I met are friendly and helpful. I met my friend in the Croft Room, painting with other residents. We had a lovely happy visit and included chatting with other residents. Everyone was pleased to meet my little dog, who prefers the older generation to very young children.

All in all, it is a first-class home.

Whilst Fremantle Court is a lovely building, built to dementia care standard it is the staff who make this a good quality care home. They treat the residents with dignity, respect and kindness. They are always looking to improve both the service given and their own levels of experience and training.
The manager is thoughtful and caring, seeking to operate at the very highest standards.

It was a pleasure to attend both the fireworks evening and the Christmas Bazaar and to see staff there off duty with their own family.

My father was cared for with kindness and compassion. He was living with dementia and required full-time care including feeding and personal care. His carers and nurses treated him with dignity, taking time to understand his history and his likes and dislikes.
The family were greeted by name and kept up to date with his daily care and given prompt information about changes in condition. His end of life care was personal and tender and the staff were genuinely upset at his passing.

As a nurse, I couldn't have provided better care myself.

Deepthi Jose
Deepthi JoseJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2026

Deepthi began her nursing career in India, qualifying in 2008 before relocating to the UK in 2010. While settling into life in the UK, she worked as a Senior Carer and successfully completed the examinations required to transfer her nursing registration. After qualifying as a Registered Nurse, Deepthi progressed into leadership roles, including Unit Manager for a 48-bed unit within a 120-bed nursing home, and later Clinical Lead within a 28-bed nursing home.

Over more than ten years with the same organisation, she gained significant experience in clinical practice and operational management, supporting colleagues to deliver high standards of care while ensuring residents’ individual needs remained at the centre of everything she did.

In 2020, Deepthi took on the role of Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead at Lewin House, where she continued to uphold strong clinical governance and provide clear, compassionate leadership until January 2026. She has now joined Fremantle Court as Home Manager, leading the home into its next chapter.

Alongside her professional responsibilities, Deepthi has remained committed to ongoing development. She has completed a postgraduate nursing certificate at Oxford Brookes University and is currently undertaking a Level 5 Operational Management course to further strengthen her leadership and management skills.

Deepthi said:

“I am proud to join Fremantle Court as Home Manager. For me, this home is more than a workplace; it is a community where compassion, dignity and high-quality care guide everything we do. My priority is to ensure our residents feel safe, respected and truly at home, while supporting our colleagues to deliver care they can be proud of every day.”

Deepthi’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Fremantle Court. With her strong clinical background and commitment to collaborative leadership, she is focused on building on the home’s positive reputation and ensuring it remains a warm, welcoming place for residents, families and colleagues alike.
