Fremantle Court provides excellent 24 hour residential and nursing care in a bright, spacious and modern care environment. The kind and dedicated care team are passionate about building relationships and delivering exceptional care to each individual.

The home has multiple cosy lounge areas which are ideal for friendships to develop and for residents to relax and enjoy the home as they wish.

The secure and tranquil gardens, surrounded by the stunning views of the Chiltern Hills, ensures everyone has independence to enjoy the garden for relaxing, light gardening or taking in fresh air.

The staff that I have had contact with are all kind, caring, compassionate and helpful - and it's been lovely seeing them interact with my Uncle (who has dementia) - sharing a laugh and a joke with him, or complimenting him, during our weekly Skype calls during the pandemic (I live too far away to be
able to visit in person regularly). There appear to have been changes in management over the last year or so, recently communications with families seem much improved. The resident's care has always been to a high standard. Fremantle appears to have balanced the protection of residents from covid, with the need for allowing visits from family and friends where possible really well during the pandemic, unlike some stories heard on the media from other care homes.

My brother loves it here management and nurses, care workers, everyone who works there are caring and supportive, happy with the care my brother has had and still having he has been there since it opened. Very quick on giving updates on his care by phone, very eager to help if you have a problem 9/10.

My mum was admitted to Fremantle Court after our 1st Lockdown. The isolation and restrictions had taken their toll and her Alzheimer’s had deteriorated to a level where she needed 24-hour care. They have worked wonders for my mum. They have taken time to build a relationship with Mum and understand
her likes and dislikes. They are very professional and manage Mum’s more challenging behaviors with kindness and patience. Mum has settled in so well because of their professionalism and their mindfulness for her welfare. She has been nourished both physically and emotionally. There is a varied agenda of events and activities every week for the residents, that they can choose to get involved with, or just be there to enjoy. Due to their efforts throughout the pandemic, I have been able to be in touch with Mum weekly via video calls.
Fremantle Court is in a lovely location surrounded by countryside. There are secure communal gardens and also private courtyard gardens.

My wife, who has Alzheimer's, entered Fremantle Court six weeks ago. She has settled in very well and is much calmer than she was in the weeks before entering. Her drinking particularly has improved significantly, thanks to the splendid work of the staff. Her eating and sleeping are also going well
and are well monitored by the staff. I am very reassured by the level of care that my wife is receiving. The carers are very responsive to her needs, and they have always been very good about keeping me well informed. I would not hesitate to recommend Fremantle Court. I would like to point out that activities have been somewhat restricted through no fault of Fremantle Court, but due to the current pandemic. Also, my wife has limited ability to participate in some activities. However, the care home staff have compensated for this by arranging one to one activities for my wife.

The home is too big for the number of staff expected to run a caring and well run establishment. Two carers on a wing of fifteen residents are not enough. The carers are unable to give each resident satisfactory attention. Not their fault. I found them caring without exception. Very caring, but overstretched.
Management leaves much to be desired.

My father has been a resident of Fremantle Court for around 4 years. The last year has seen his health deteriorate (he has Alzheimer’s) and at the same time, the Covid situation has changed many aspects associated with his care. I have found the care that my father received to be excellent. The staff
have always treated my father with care, respect and compassion, even when he had his more difficult moments as a patient. This has continued during the various states of lock-down during the last year. For much of the time I haven’t been able to visit in person, but I and my family have been kept up to date with his specific situation via weekly calls, and the team have always been happy to give ad hoc updates too. The management of the home have also increased the quantity and type of communication, with emails and relatives zoom sessions too. Most important is that my father seems happy and looks as fit and well as we could hope for.

My dad was a resident for nearly three years at Fremantle Court. When he moved there, it was a huge relief to have him properly looked after by the wonderful, caring staff.
We made friends with many of the staff during that time, some gave us a shoulder to cry on, some provided support to my family,
all took care of us. I cannot thank you enough, especially at this difficult time. I look forward to visiting again in the future and doing some painting!

During lockdown, I have been able to book appointments to speak to my father for 10 mins at a time. This has worked very well for us and has put his mind and mine at ease. Today as things have eased I have been able to see him in the garden under a gazebo for half an hour whilst maintaining the statutory
distancing.

I wanted to thank everyone at Fremantle Court for all you are doing for the residents and of course particularly for my mum. At 95, she was always going to find it difficult to adjust to the life she now finds herself leading but the kindness and care shown by all the team in looking after her have
eased the changes she has had to make. I am so grateful to you for looking after her so well. She especially appreciates the conversations she shares with all the carers and other staff. Naturally, she finds the current COVID19 situation very unsettling but I know everyone works incredibly hard to keep residents safe and well. I can't thank you enough for this. I also want to mention the outstanding enthusiasm and organisation of the activities team - their inventive creativity makes such a difference to mum, as I am sure it does to everyone else. Thanks to them, we regularly Skype and they even gave her a lockdown hair-do with which she was absolutely delighted. The team certainly go the extra mile.

My Mother has been a resident at Fremantle Court since it opened over 5 years ago. The family visited about 30 homes in the area until we found what we considered was the best home to meet her care. Fremantle have many well established members of staff who understand our Mother’s needs. There is an
excellent varied activity programme morning and afternoon 7 days a week, together with seasonal events. We can always get a response for any concerns which will be actioned if possible or a reasonable response will be given.

My mother has been a resident for nearly 3 years now and has just celebrated her 98th birthday. No longer able to easily leave Fremantle Court to go out to celebrate, the home provided a delicious spread of party food so the whole family could visit her in the privacy of a function room - well done
- and once again, my mother was well dressed by the attentive and caring staff. My mother feels at home, thank you.

I found all staff, from the manager to admin and wing to be very professional and took the time to get to know my mother who was a resident for respite care. They were all friendly and treated residents with respect and dignity. They took on board the fact that my mother loved gardening and her need
for fresh air by giving her a ground floor room with access to a small garden area. A relief to know she was in such capable and safe hands.
