A good staff to resident ratio and the various rooms are all bright and cozy.
Basic furniture provided but you can take in extras. All rooms have an en suite toilet/shower wet room. fully adjustable hospital beds, with movement sensors attached. My experience has been that the staff are there very quickly
Food is great, lots of choices. The main meal is lunchtime and supper is mostly soup and sandwiches but other options if requested earlier.
Great activities each day, access to them sometimes a little difficult, the activities team arrange singers, trips out, wellbeing and Art/craft sessions etc. They were the deciding factor on us choosing this home

Many thanks for your kind comments about Willows. As you know, the decor was discussed at a recent relatives meeting and I am delighted to share that we have received quotes for redecoration and refurbishment, and look forward to work being started very soon. Regarding your comments about the food, it is a difficult balance to ensure that food is always at a safe temperature for residents who all eat at different speeds. However, our food is served on a heated trolley and we have the facilities to reheat food safely if residents wish this. We understand your concern about the fee increase, too. However, a full explanation can be found in the letter that we sent out to fee payers giving them notice of the increase.

So, it really is pleasing to receive such positive and encouraging feedback. We totally understand that your mother-in-law loves her music, and our activities team works hard to organise regular music-related activities. Unfortunately, as discussed previously the piano is just too large for her room and will impede space, which is a health and safety risk, but we are very happy for you to bring in a portable keyboard for her to use in her room. Our lounges are used for residents and activities, we encourage our families and visitors to chat with loved ones in the privacy of their own room, in the dining room outside of mealtimes, in our new coffee bar or in our lovely garden in good weather! Overall, your mother-in-law is a real pleasure to look after and is very much loved here at Willows.

Thank you so much for taking the time to complete a review of Willows Care Home. We miss you a great deal and loved hearing all your stories from your career! As you know, you spent most of your time with us in bed hence that room was provided because of the nature of the care required on admission. However, prior to you leaving you may have observed specialist visited the room to organise for the installation of those features and we will shortly be adjusting the washing/sanitary facilities for the room as part of a general refurbishment of the home. We are incredibly proud of our home and the dedication shown by the team, and we are delighted to hear that your experience was positive.
