We are sorry that you are unhappy with your mum’s care during her two-week respite stay in August, and with my response to your email, received in October. Although you did raise a couple of issues during her stay (dealt with at the time), the remainder were a surprise, as we parted amicably when your mum went home. But, given the scope of your concerns, we are escalating them to our Quality & Compliance department who will review your comments here, along with your original email complaint, and come back to you with a full response.
Dear Julia, thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review of our home. We have an amazing team that works hard to provide the best care and support for residents and their families. So it really is pleasing to receive such positive and encouraging feedback. Your relative is such a pleasure to look after and is very much loved here at Willows Care Home. We look forward to seeing you and your family again when you next visit.
Dear Shorayn, thank you for your recent feedback. We do organize 1:1 activities for people who cannot join in group activities so we ensure everyone gets activities that suit them. We’re sorry to hear that some of your father’s clothes have not been returned to him. Our housekeeping team prides itself on providing a good service and has set up a number of initiatives to ensure that clothing and personal items are properly returned. We will look into this and see what has happened to your father’s belongings.
Hi Tara, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you seem unhappy with aspects of the home, although you have not been at all specific about what it is that you do not like. We are aware that you have not visited your aunt here at Willows recently, but are more than happy to meet with you and discuss these in confidence with you next time you visit. You may prefer to make an appointment, so please feel free to call me.
Dear Victoria, we very much appreciate that you took the time and trouble to give us such a kind review. Thank you for your continuous support during Covid and for your patience and understanding. Your mother-in-law is certainly a character, and she has created a great relationship with the staff. I will pass on your comments to the team, who will be very happy to receive them.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to have been able to support you through your rehabilitation. We will be missing you. As you promised, we will be awaiting your visit, not as a patient but as a simple visitor. All the best.
Steve, thank you for your feedback. Your father was a very special person that has definitely left a lot of good memories around the home, but also around the staff. Myself and your father had a very good relationship, as we say one of a kind. We will deeply miss him.
Dear Richard, thank you for your feedback. Your mum was a greatly recognised character at Willows and we are all missing her very much. As you stated, during Covid-19 the team have worked really hard to keep everyone safe and they were successful with that. Sadly, some guidelines did restrict us previously from having non-urgent professionals into the home. We are hoping to be able to fully allow more professional and visitors to come to the home, once is safe and the guidelines permit us to do so.
