Berehill house is a wonderful care home. My Wife has been living there for just over 3 years. She is very happy living there. The manager is superb and spends time talking with me when I visit. My wife has a lovely room. The care staff are brilliant as are the activities staff! In fact I would say the staff are led by a brilliant manager and they all do a fantastic job!

Unfortunately my Dad now requires full time care, we'd joked about it for years but when his condition took a fast downhill directions reality gave us a BIG Kick between the legs. Absolutely heart breaking to see such a strong figure fade away so rapidly. We were offered three Care Homes but none really ticked the boxes & we wanted something close for regular visits. When the email came through about Berehill House, from what we'd been hearing & doing our own checks we were chuffed to except the room.

Not disappointed at all, Beautiful Looking Home, Fantastically Clean, Very Well Presented, Loads of Areas to Relax & Chill, Fresh & Airy. The Staff couldn't have been more warm & welcoming. We're very happy with his new home.

This is the 3rd year that my mother has been a resident at Berehill House. She's very happy there and is treated with dignity and respect. The home celebrates all special holidays and public events and includes all residents in these activities.

We were very lucky for my mother to be given the opportunity to stay at Berehill House. Michelle and her team are great. Thank you

Berehill House has been wonderful for our dad, who lives with dementia.
The staff are so friendly, always happy and full of enthusiasm, and they clearly understand what each resident needs.
There are daily activities that keep everyone engaged and smiling, which makes such a difference.
My only tiny observation is that the rooms could use a fresh lick of paint to brighten them up - but it's minor compared to the excellent care.

Choosing Berehill House was the best decision we made for Dad, and we'd recommend it wholeheartedly.

Staff are lovely, the care they provide is amazing ! My mum eats very well there. The staff work very hard. The room my mum stays in is a little tiered the only thing they don't have is a fully working disabled toilet as I am in a wheel chair so cannot stay to long to visit.

Reply from Michelle Hart, Home Manager at Berehill House

Thank you for the lovely review ! We have taken on board your comments and we are arranging for our maintenance team to decorate Mums room. With regards to the toilets we do have accessible bathrooms on site that you are more than welcome to use. Best wishes Michelle

Amazing staff, they take a genuine interest in every resident and respond immediately to any questions and requests.

I'm really impressed with the food offerings for my mum who has small appetite and has puréed food. She seems very happy and we noticed a significant improvement after she moved in.

I am so pleased that my mother is in Berehill. The care, attention and joy the staff bring is outstanding. She clearly loves all the staff and welcomes their attention, she was especially overjoyed to be sung happy birthday to very recently. She has settled well in her new home.

The staff communication to myself is clear, regular and makes me feel involved. I am made to feel so welcome when I visit my mother and I can see the compassion given to every resident.

Excellent care. The staff are so friendly and patient and Mum loves it there. I think she gives the staff a bit of sass but they seem to enjoy the banter and Mum thrives on it.
It is always clean, the food looks superb and visitors are treated like part of the family.

We couldn't find a better care home if we tried.

The staff and the care my mum receives at Berehill is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. They always make us very welcome when we visit and go above and beyond to ensure mum is looked after, even though with dementia that can have its challenges. I know I can call day or night if needed to get peace of mind. Thank you to all the staff for all your care and compassion.

We have been very happy with now my nan has settled into Berehill House, and that has been down to the outstanding care that all staff have demonstrated consistently, not only to my nan but also my grandad when he has been visiting. All staff behave with such empathy, compassion, and thoughtfulness, alongside their professionalism. My nan is now eating better and joining in with activities. She has settled in so well.

I have found the staff very helpful and will go that extra mile, if my husband lets them, as he has dementia. The home is a bit tired looking, but it has been renovated, and there is always someone working on it, and they let my husband help, so this helps him and keeps him happy, as part of his job involved working outside. The staff are very obliging with relatives and very reassuring.

A huge thanks to all of the care staff at Berehill House for the help, support, and most especially the kindness they showed my dad during his time there.
From the moment he arrived at Berehill he quickly grew to enjoy being there and loved getting to know both the staff and residents. They all made his final months feel settled, happy, and as comfortable as possible during what was a very difficult period as his health declined. For that, I truly cannot thank them enough.
Dad often spoke about the wonderful conversations he had with the care staff. He fondly mentioned the little moments that meant so much to him - breakfasts with the residents, the bird experience, and even the fast food chicken nuggets and apple pies provided. He genuinely enjoyed getting to know everyone at Berehill and they became like a second family to him.

I would like to pass on my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Berehill from myself and my family for everything they have done.
