My sister has been a resident since January 2016 and we have (my wife and I) always been happy with the care and support provided at Braeburn Lodge. In the past, we always felt the care and facilities were good.

However, since the new manager, she has taken the home upwards, to another level of care, compassion and support. My sister's condition has deteriorated considerabley but the care and support provided is exemplary and we can only say "Thank You Braeburn".

I cannot fault the care that Mum has been given since moving into the dementia unit at Braeburn Lodge. Our first visit convinced us that she would be safe, comfortable and well looked after. Mum is treated as an individual but also encouraged to interact with the staff and other residents. She has been out in the mini-bus on several trips and has been promised she can do activities she used to enjoy ie. gardening when the weather improves. Life has not stopped because Mum has dementia and is in a care home. The rooms are clean, the food is good and the staff really do care. I would recommend Braeburn Lodge to anybody.

Care in the home is very good and all the carers work very hard. All the carers are patient and kind, but there is a shortage. The home provides different activities each day and residents can choose whether or not to join in. A lot of people come in to entertain residents, including children. There are nice gardens to walk around in - when it is fine.

The initial meeting with the manager was very positive and put us as a family at ease knowing Mum would be very well looked after. Her first 6 weeks here we are very happy at the care she is receiving. The staff are very friendly and has given us peace of mind that Mum will be well looked after.

One often dreams of living in paradise and that is what it was for my stay at Braeburn Lodge. One is cared for by angels who show kindness, tenderness and caring while still having a lovely sense of humour. The camaraderie between the angels was brilliant. I enjoyed the various types of entertainments and activities. The food was great. Needless to say, I will be visiting again.

Throughout her stay my mother received very special care. Staff treated her as a friend or relative and knew what was required to keep her happy and comfortable. Her end-of-life care was handled sensitively with compassion and dignity. Thank you.

On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to thank all the Staff at Braeburn Lodge for the kindness, compassion and care they gave my father over the past 6 months. Their dedication and compassion ensured my fathers last few months were happy and comfortable. The whole package from accommodation, care, empathy, food and social activities were outstanding. I can never thank you all enough.

My mother was very apprehensive about moving into a care home. Braeburn Lodge care home, with its friendly and caring staff, soon put her mind at rest. Whilst looking for a care home we looked at several homes but Braeburn Lodge stood out head and shoulders above the rest.

Since my Mum has been a resident here she has found a new lease of life.
She has participated in the entertainment and other social outings where she had very little to do in her own flat.
She looks a lot healthier and happier and has begun to put weight on, due to the very good and healthy fresh food they receive daily.
The staff are very friendly and professional and caring to every single resident.
Their care is constant and nothing is too much trouble, for which we are very grateful.

This is far and away the best care home in our opinion.
