I have made many friends, residents, carers, and all the staff here. I am coeliac, which has always been a bit difficult for me. Here, I am enjoying three good meals each day.
I am so grateful for everything I enjoy here and the happiness I have found.
Thank you for your kind review. Its great to hear how the team have catered to your dietary requirements and you are enjoying our hospitality. It has been a joy to assist you in your recovery journey, we value your contribution to our community and how much happiness this has brought to yourself our residents and team.
Resident after several years and I could never wish to live anywhere better. Carers are wonderful and who could wish for a more friends. I would be happy to give any help to this amazing care home, which offers love to everyone. Pam
Such lovely words, thank you for taking the time to offer a review. It has been a pleasure to welcome you to our Tennyson Wharf family , wonderful to hear your great experiences at our home with the team and residents alike.
This was the second time my husband had been in respite care at Tennyson Wharf Care Home. We were both treated with kindness and care and respect by everyone. Nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly be using it again in the near future.
Thank you so much for your kind review. I am so pleased your husband enjoyed his respite stay at Tennyson Wharf, and you both felt comfortable and cared for. Looking forward to seeing you both again soon.
There is no doubt that this a very special Care Home. It must be emphasised that there are many here who have gone through difficult times in their lives and views differ. During my time here I feel that I have been treated well and as the Representative of the residents I have done all I can to help others. Activities are well planned and attempts are made to please as many as possible. Food & menus are well thought out with allergies/diabetic etc and well catered for. Management is sympathetic and understanding. Its difficult to think where such care can be done elsewhere.
Thank you for your fabulous review of the care and services we offer at Tennyson Wharf. It is an honor that we have dedicated Representative of residents in our home, supporting our residents choices and how we develop care across our service, your input is truly valued.
After the unexpected passing of my wife, I needed help with my everyday household management and life in general. A period of respite was suggested, and I looked at several care homes to help me through a short period of one to two weeks. Most of the care homes visited were smelly, dirty, shabby homes, was sugested, and I made an unanounced unexpected visit. I was welcomed by a pleasant, cheerful receptionist. Nature of my enquiry passed me on to the deputy, who, after reassurance of the admission criteria, I arranged a two week respite. The menu was superb, and the food served matched the excellent menu. The staff were amazingly helpful, caring and kind, particularly to those with special difficulties. After one day respite, I signed into the home permanently. I have been here for 2 months and do not regret my decision. Really wonderful environment provided - and games.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I am very proud our team have been able to help support you at this time, and very much look forward to your continued relationship with us at Tennyson Wharf.
The telephone signal was dreaful my wife could not decifer what I was saying as it was as if I was under water. I did not contact my wife for two days. This made me very sad. My wife contacted the staff and twice they brought me one of their phones to use. I did not like to ask for them to keep bring there phones to me. I would be happy to return again for respight if this was sorted.
Thank you so much for your kind review regarding the care you received during your respite stay and I will share this with the team. Connectivity can vary dependent on the users network, we do have good Wi-Fi for our residents and their families and have noted your feedback to support residents and their loved ones moving forwards during their stays to maintain contact with their loved ones
Thankyou.

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my father on short notice, providing invaluable support during this emotional time. The care home is in a superb location with lovely gardens and marina views, and it's impeccably clean and well-maintained.
What sets Tennyson Wharf apart is the genuine care each resident receives. The food is excellent, and the variety of activities keeps residents engaged. The facility feels like a five-star hotel, with ample parking and spacious rooms. The paperwork process was seamless, making the transition easier. I highly recommend Tennyson Wharf for its exceptional care and kindness!

The standards at Tennyson Wharf are exceptional. All of the team looking after the residents are amazing, kind, caring, considerate and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent range of activities on everyday to keep residents engaged should they wish to join in. Mum is extremely happy there and settled in very quickly. I have complete confidence in how well my mum is being looked after.

Mum has been made to feel welcome right from the start. The staff are lovely, very caring and adaptable. Nothing seems too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and there is plenty for her to do without feeling any pressure to participate. Mum has made friends already and is thoroughly enjoying her new life. Having spent a lot of time researching to find a suitable respite placement for my father, I finally came upon this absolutely brilliant home which looked nothing like standard care homes. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Dad said this was his favourite place, topping pub breakfasts! Most importantly, he's really happy to return for more respite shortly and if permanent care was required, he'd be more than happy to return. He really loved it there and loved all the attention.
Thank you very much for your kind words, I will make sure this is shared with our team. Looking forward to seeing Dad again soon.
It was arranged efficiently but feel because of the circumstances I cannot comment fairly on the facilities and activities.
I found the whole experience enjoyable and energising after a difficult few weeks at home where I live alone.
On arrival I received a warm welcome and was impressed by the high standard and freshness of the decor - which I noticed continued throughout. I found all the caring staff always friendly and extremely helpful. The food good with nice-sized portions but unfortunately I found the residents antisocial - the few I met in the dining room and others stayed in their rooms.
Thank you very much for your kind words, I will ensure this is passed to the team.
