Mountfitchet House

My mother has settled well into life at Mountfitchet House Care Home. This is a result of the level of care she is receiving which is delivered with compassion and dignity. Every request is met with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

From the first point of contact with the customer relations manager to the activities team, the nurses, carer and cleaners, my mother and I have been treated as friends. The home provides a very calm ambience, and the staff are always ready to help or support both residents and visitors. A few teething problems have been resolved by a very competent team.

You will see by my ratings that my experience is excellent, more than that, my mother is safe and well cared for. It's a great relief for me, being her only child.

We are very happy with the standard of care and friendliness of the staff. Mum has no complaints and enjoys the food and service. There is always a good programme of activities and someone usually available to escort Mum round the garden.

Superb service as soon as we approached. Helped immensely with the transition from selling the house to permanent residency. Units feel like family homes with a cosy lounge and dining room attached. Serviettes on tables, lovely pictures. Staff are the same people and have got to know my mum very quickly and her likes and needs and have helped me and family. Daily activities are fun. I could not have found a nicer home for my mum.

Mum feels really safe and well looked after. All the staff are lovely and treat her very kindly. Accommodation is of a very high standard, and the food is of high quality. All of the family are very happy with this home. Thank you to everyone.

Having made the difficult decision that it was time for Dad to have full-time dementia care, I first visited Mountfitchet House, and I knew that he would be in a really caring and supportive environment - not just for him but also for myself. The atmosphere is calm, and all the staff are absolutely fantastic. Mountfitchet House has excellent facilities, and I know for sure that my dad is well cared for and feels- and is safe.

We already knew Mountfitchet House, they're having cared for my uncle previously. In particular, residents are offered a range of activities, without pressure. Accommodation is excellent and staff are always pleased to try and help.

Mu husband, who suffers from dementia, has been a resident of Mountfitchet House for the past three months. I am very happy with the standard of care he receives. The staff are kind, caring, pleasant and empathic. They perform a difficult job whilst displaying patience and treating the residents with dignity. The gardens are a delight for those residents who are able to take advantage of them.

When I first visited Mountfitchet House we were only seeking a care home for a short period, but I have been very impressed by the quality of service offered and the professionalism and care demonstrated by all the team. I would not hesitate to recommend Mountfitchet House to anyone seeking a care home for themselves or a relative.

This all comes at a rather high price, but Mountfitchet House is significantly better than most alternatives in the area, in my opinion.

When you enter the home, there is a feeling you get that is unrelated to any fixtures and fittings but simply the undeniable warmth and sense of community, especially evident when entering Mum's wing.

I would just like to say that given the difficulties the staff are all working under, my mum has settled in really well. I would like to say a big thank you for all the hard work, diligence and professionalism during this time. The manager, nursing staff, customer care team, all the care staff, receptionists, catering and cleaners are a credit to this facility as they are all doing a great job. Thank you.

My brother moved into Mountfitchet on the 13th July 2021 and our family noticed a great difference in him after just one week of him being a resident. He is so happy and content and now has a quality of life again as the staff involve him in activities, trips out and just generally being there for him if just for a chat. He is extremely well cared for and I no longer wake up worrying for him as I know he is in very good hands. The staff are amazing and kind and accommodate everything they can and I cannot thank them enough for giving him a lovely life and I am extremely grateful to all. I bless the day I found Mountfitchet and highly recommend this care home, I wouldn’t put my bother anywhere else.

Since my nan went into Mountfitchet House she has been so settled and so happy. The staff make so much effort to play games, motivate them, keep their minds stimulated, and do activities with them. The staff are friendly and show a genuine interest of care towards residents and our overall experience since my nan came to Mountfitchet House is we couldn’t recommend them enough.

This is a very well managed home with well-trained staff who care for my sister with dignity. Throughout the pandemic, they have made every effort to facilitate contact with family. The accommodation is modern and well-appointed, and the security, although not really relevant in my sisters care is very good. My sister had previously been in another care home where the care was not of the standard of Stansted Mountfitchet.

Mountfitchet House is an outstanding care home with staff who really care. My mother was there for 7 weeks and I could not fault the home in any way. I have been to many care homes in my professional life and personally and this home is right up there. Clean, nice rooms, very caring staff, good communication with family. I would recommend this place without reservation.
