Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your positive scores and excellent ratings regarding the overall standard of the home, as well as the care and support provided to residents. We’re so pleased to read that your mum has been very happy here at Mountfitchet House and that she enjoys our café area and gardens with visiting family members. We appreciate your feedback regarding activities and as always we welcome feedback of all kinds that will help us to improve the service we offer to residents and their relatives. Previously our activities have been held on different days and times each week, including the knitting club, gardening club and chair exercise classes. After consulting with residents we have planned to structure the clubs so that they are more reliable for everyone, with regular activities running at the same time and day each week. Thanks again for your very welcome review.

I started my career as a healthcare assistant before training and qualifying as a nurse. That was 24 years ago, and, since then, I’ve worked in the NHS and in the private sector. I’ve worked in many different areas of nursing, from paediatric intensive care to end of life and dementia care, and also in management.
I joined Care UK because I wanted to bring my skills and experience to benefit an exciting and forward-thinking care organisation. I love the idea, at the heart of Care UK’s ethos, of fulfilling residents’ lives. I think it’s something everyone can understand and get behind. It motivates the entire team, whatever role they do.
The best part of my role is seeing residents happy and satisfied, and seeing my team’s pride in the way they help others to live happy lives and achieve their wishes.
Away from work I enjoy all sorts of things from holidays and sightseeing, to gardening, baking, watching sports, and going to the theatre, art galleries and museums.
