Sandiacre Court Care Centre

My dad spent a week at Sandiacre Court on respite. He had a lovely time at the home, and the staff were very friendly. My dad really enjoyed the activities, arts and crafts and spending time in the garden. I would very much recommend this care home. Thank you to all the staff at the home who looked after him.

I find the care my mum receives to be very good. My mum is well looked after and always clean. The staff are brilliant and always attentive.

It pains me to write this review but I feel I must share my experience in recent months. When my Mum first moved to Sandiacre Court it was great and as I reviewed at the time, a great weight off my shoulders. I really don't know what went wrong, but most of the staff left including management and the CQC came in and highlighted the shortcomings. I'm loath to go into great detail but this had a detrimental effect on my Mum, to the degree that I have now had to move her to another home. Issues were mainly around cleanliness, lack of enrichment activities, and a general apathy towards any feedback where staff said the right thing and then did nothing. A real shame but I do not recommend this home and will happily back up with examples on all ratings given.

My mum moved into Sandiacre Court Care Centre in November 2021, not long after she had moved in, unfortunately, the home had an outbreak, and visits were restricted, this was hard for us all, as we have been a very close family. The staff at Sandiacre have been amazing, keeping us updated regularly on how mMm was by phone and letters from Sandiacre Court updating on the visiting and the outbreak. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone. The quality of care is the best, and we are always kept updated on my mum's care. We have finally been able to visit Mum this week, and she looks well cared for, and most of all, she seemed very happy. Thank you to all the staff at Sandiacre for keeping her safe and for the fantastic job you all do.

My mum has been at Sandiacre Court for over six years and has been happy here - joining in with the activities, and we have all found the staff friendly, caring and helpful. She has a lovely room, personalised with her precious photographs and pictures. The home is professional and pleasant to come into. Thank you. We have always felt welcome to celebrate occasions here with Mum.

We moved Mum up from London to be closer to us during the later stage of her life. Mum, who was 98 1/2, was excited to be relocating. The management and staff made the process and the move very easy to do, handled the paperwork and necessary assessments and arrangements without fuss. Unfortunately, due to her health, my mum didn't get to experience all the home had to offer. The staff, who I can't praise enough, were very caring and compassionate. It is never easy to lose a parent; they gave me the strength and care that helped my family and me as the end approached. We can't thank you enough, thank you all!

All the staff I have met when visiting my friend have been extremely helpful, kind and respectful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They do become over time friends, which makes it really nice.

Exemplary on every occasion. Met with warmth and compassion. Unwavering in offering a sincere caring package. Massive thank you to all.

Moving into a care home is a big step, but he was made welcome and the care is fantastic. It also gave us peace of mind to know he was happy and had 24 hour care.

Throughly delighted as a family for the standard of care mum has received since becoming a resident at Sandiacre Court.

Dad has settled now, he sees the home as his safe haven.

Despite a very challenging and disturbing year, during which my mother passed away (from old age) and my father moved from residential care to the dementia floor, the care provided has been excellent. The staff have gone above and beyond, particularly when my mother was approaching the end. Dad appears to have adjusted well to his move and seems settled.

Lovely staff. Mum is very well looked after. I would have liked a "window" visit during the lockdown, as Mum cannot see well and does not like electronics, so unable to speak to her. I cannot thank Sandiacre Court enough for keeping her safe and well, and it is good to be able to hold hands with her at last.

Sandiacre Court Care home has been extremely fantastic with my mum, as she was admitted during lockdown (and not able to visit). Since visiting has opened up, the staff have been amazing and helpful to myself.

A lovely home. I knew it was the best place for my mum as soon as I saw it, and she agreed on seeing it herself. It was the very best I could find in the area after a long search. It is beautifully kept and exceptionally clean. Residents are treated with dignity and courtesy. Management is efficient and helpful this last year. As a concerned relative of a very elderly Mum, I must commend the staff for stepping up to do the plate, proving safe care of a consistently high standard during such an incredibly challenging time.

The staff are always very friendly, professional and make me feel welcome. One lady was with Dad on his birthday, she was so kind and lovely, and made the visit easier as Dad can't talk much. We know Dad is safe and well looked after, which is a big comfort to us. Thank you.

Staff have worked incredibly hard this year to ensure residents are kept safe and covid free. I have felt confident that the care of my mother has been of a high standard throughout.

My aunt is currently at Sandiacre Court, I feel she is treated with dignity and respect, the staff are absolutely brilliant with her and nothing is too much trouble. When arriving at Sandiacre Court you are greeted with welcoming faces. The home is exceptionally clean and tidy, giving credit to everyone there at this present time in these unfortunate circumstances, the activities gentleman is keeping family up to date with the social media page, sharing photos of our loved ones, and even offering video call, well done to all of you at Sandiacre Court for doing an amazing job in keeping our loved ones safe.
