Sandiacre Court Care Centre

My Father has been in this home for nearly four years. The manager and her staff are unfailingly kind, efficient, informative and hard-working. Everywhere is kept clean, with regular updating of decoration. The food is excellent, mealtimes are made an occasion with beautifully laid tables and ample choice. The activities are varied and plentiful, with the co-ordinator taking care to get to know each resident's preferences. I am writing this at the height of the Covid19 pandemic. The home has kept in constant touch and uses social media to show pictures of the residents and update us on activities. I cannot praise them enough at this time.

My mum has been here for just over a year and even though it took a while for her to settle in, we could not have picked a better home for her. All the staff are amazing and as a family, we know that she is being well looked after and cared for. My mum enjoys the entertainment they provide and even though she is blind, they try and still get her involved in everything.

The entertainment facilities are superb and have been enlarged recently during Covid19 by the introduction of an online app facility. I would recommend Sandiacre Court to anyone looking for excellent care.

I was very happy to move my cousin who has the onset of dementia from her own home to Sandiacre Court where I know that she will be cared for so very well.

Since my Aunt became a resident every visit everyone has been so lovely and kind, all staff excellent. My Aunt has a fantastic room is very well cared for and is very happy. Food always looks fantastic, home is spotless and smells lovely. Haven't got any faults or concerns at all we are so pleased with everything and glad we chose Sandiacre Court.

The overall care which my mother receives at Sandiacre Court is excellent, the staff treat her with warmth and dignity whilst remaining very professional in their approach. Recently they went above and beyond in terms of helping my mother following a fall. My mother's transition into residential care has been made far less troubling than I had anticipated because of the excellent standards generally at Sandiacre Court and because of the staff's approach to their work.

I have up to now nothing but praise for them.

Staff have made every effort to improve Dad's mobility and they clearly meant the best for him. There is always a registered mental nurse on duty which is invaluable given Dad's dementia. We cannot thank staff enough.

The care at this home is excellent, friendly staff, brilliant manager. Nothing is never too much trouble. My father had excellent care especially the "end of life" care. Myself and my partner received excellent support before and after him passing away. This home is highly recommended.

Entertainment provided by the entertainment manager is brilliant. He accommodates everybody of all abilities. The biggest problem is laundry! So many socks, pants and handkerchiefs are missing and despite reported have not been returned. This home is very expensive to others locally.

A modern purpose built home with professional and caring staff. Some activities arranged for residents and staff always chatting to them.

Hairdresser and chiropodist visit regularly. Activities are good!

When my mum was in hospital it was decided she could not go back to the home she was in as she needed nursing care. We had nearly lost her to flu so was in a state. Since she has been at Sandiacre she has accepted she cannot walk now and is in bed nearly all the time. The staff are marvellous. She has a hairdresser regularly and joins in some events. She is where she was mentally a few years ago apart from the use of legs. The staff have helped to make her like this.

My father has been in Sandiacre Court for over three years. The staff have been excellent in identifying and working with his particular needs. All issues are dealt with efficiently and life has been made much easier for the family. Going to see him is a pleasure in such a lovely welcoming environment, more like meeting for a coffee and a cake. It is a very relaxed visiting experience and the staff are kind and friendly. Ultimately though, the person whose opinion matters most is the resident. I asked Dad how many marks out of 10 he would give the home. "10 of course" he said. You can't get a better recommendation than that.

My grandma is currently being nursed at Sandiacre Court - I cannot fault the care she has received. The staff are always kind and caring towards her. They are always friendly towards me and my family when we visit, and always keep us informed of any changes in her health or care needs. I have marked the activities as good from what I have seen, but as my grandma is unable to join in fully due to her dementia, I am not able to comment fully.

Very happy with the care my mum is having, staff are lovely and make us feel at home. Activities are brilliant and so nice to see happy faces.

My mother has been in Sandiacre Care Centre once for respite and now permanently. It is the most welcoming of places, staff are extremely pleasant, nothing is too much trouble. It is pristinely clean and the residents are very well looked after, from personal hygiene, laundry, rooms and bed linen. Meals are served in a beautiful dining room, which is always presented to restaurant quality. There are plenty of activities to enjoy.

Overall I feel this Care Centre far outways similar ones in this area, for care and attention towards service users and their family. It has certainly given my mother and us as a family a new lease of life knowing she is in very safe hands and a very safe environment in all aspects. I have a friend who is an occupational therapist at a nearby hospital and on her recommendation, we first went to view Sandiacre Court. Well done to everyone.

The staff are also interested in supporting the spiritual life of their residents, offering wholeness in body, mind and spirit.

Residents appear very comfortable, cared for and happy. Staff are caring, friendly and helpful.
