The overall care which my mother receives at Sandiacre Court is excellent, the staff treat her with warmth and dignity whilst remaining very professional in their approach. Recently they went above and beyond in terms of helping my mother following a fall. My mother's transition into residential care has been made far less troubling than I had anticipated because of the excellent standards generally at Sandiacre Court and because of the staff's approach to their work.

Since my sister moved into Sandiacre Court I have found nothing but wonderful care and compassion from all members of staff.
The staff are always kind and helpful to me, my family and other visitors.
The home is always very clean and tidy.
Menus seem good and varied and residents always say how good the food is.

I have up to now nothing but praise for them.

From the initial moment that Dad arrived at Sandiacre Court, he has been treated with professionalism, compassion and kindness. This is a very well run care home with the manager leading an excellent team. The manager spends "hands on" time with the residents so that she knows them well and can support the most appropriate care for Dad.

Staff have made every effort to improve Dad's mobility and they clearly meant the best for him. There is always a registered mental nurse on duty which is invaluable given Dad's dementia. We cannot thank staff enough.

The care at this home is excellent, friendly staff, brilliant manager. Nothing is never too much trouble. My father had excellent care especially the "end of life" care. Myself and my partner received excellent support before and after him passing away. This home is highly recommended.

My dad has settled very well and is happy. The care is good but staff are short staffed and very busy. They are very kind.
Food is good most of the time.

Entertainment provided by the entertainment manager is brilliant. He accommodates everybody of all abilities. The biggest problem is laundry! So many socks, pants and handkerchiefs are missing and despite reported have not been returned. This home is very expensive to others locally.

When my mum was in hospital it was decided she could not go back to the home she was in as she needed nursing care. We had nearly lost her to flu so was in a state. Since she has been at Sandiacre she has accepted she cannot walk now and is in bed nearly all the time. The staff are marvellous. She has a hairdresser regularly and joins in some events. She is where she was mentally a few years ago apart from the use of legs. The staff have helped to make her like this.

My father has been in Sandiacre Court for over three years. The staff have been excellent in identifying and working with his particular needs. All issues are dealt with efficiently and life has been made much easier for the family. Going to see him is a pleasure in such a lovely welcoming environment, more like meeting for a coffee and a cake. It is a very relaxed visiting experience and the staff are kind and friendly. Ultimately though, the person whose opinion matters most is the resident. I asked Dad how many marks out of 10 he would give the home. "10 of course" he said. You can't get a better recommendation than that.

My grandma is currently being nursed at Sandiacre Court - I cannot fault the care she has received. The staff are always kind and caring towards her. They are always friendly towards me and my family when we visit, and always keep us informed of any changes in her health or care needs. I have marked the activities as good from what I have seen, but as my grandma is unable to join in fully due to her dementia, I am not able to comment fully.

My mother has been in Sandiacre Care Centre once for respite and now permanently. It is the most welcoming of places, staff are extremely pleasant, nothing is too much trouble. It is pristinely clean and the residents are very well looked after, from personal hygiene, laundry, rooms and bed linen. Meals are served in a beautiful dining room, which is always presented to restaurant quality. There are plenty of activities to enjoy.

Overall I feel this Care Centre far outways similar ones in this area, for care and attention towards service users and their family. It has certainly given my mother and us as a family a new lease of life knowing she is in very safe hands and a very safe environment in all aspects. I have a friend who is an occupational therapist at a nearby hospital and on her recommendation, we first went to view Sandiacre Court. Well done to everyone.

As a priest in the Church of England, I have been visiting the home for several years taking Holy Communion to the residents.
I have found the staff to be caring and involved with the welfare of the residents.
They support residents and seek the best for those in their care.
This is a caring home which offers personal and family care.

The staff are also interested in supporting the spiritual life of their residents, offering wholeness in body, mind and spirit.

All the staff are very friendly, caring and kind and respectful to Mum's needs. Everyone says hello when they see you and despite some protestations from Mum, she is showered daily and always in clean clothes.

Although she doesn't join in, there seem to be lots of interesting activities for those who want to. Her bedroom and bathroom are clean as is the rest of the home. On visiting for the first time my son said it was like a lovely hotel and wanted to book in!

I feel as though I visit my husband in his home - not a care home.
The management and staff work together as a team within which I am included.
He is always well-groomed and dressed and I can go home knowing he is safe and well cared for.

He is now bedridden and cannot join in activities but the nursery staff always ensure music is played in his room.
