Sandiacre Court Care Home is a modern, purpose-built care centre located atop Sandiacre Hill, offering stunning views over the Erewash Valley in Derbyshire. The home provides comprehensive care for up to 81 residents, specialising in residential care, nursing care, and specialist dementia care, with a dedicated dementia suite and a day care service also available.
The facilities are designed for comfort and engagement, featuring a recently revamped café in the reception area for socialising, spacious lounges, a quiet lounge, and a cinema room for dedicated movie experiences. All 81 bedrooms are single and include en-suite wet rooms. Notably, some ground-floor rooms feature patio doors providing direct, secure access to the outdoor areas.
The home’s beautiful, secure gardens are an important feature, well-stocked with plants, seating under mature trees, and decorations handcrafted by residents, encouraging outdoor activity and relaxation. A variety of activities - including gardening, crafting, games, music, and outings - are offered daily to keep residents active and entertained. All the staff are very friendly, caring and kind and respectful to Mum's needs. Everyone says hello when they see you and despite some protestations from Mum, she is showered daily and always in clean clothes.

All the staff are very friendly, caring and kind and respectful to Mum's needs. Everyone says hello when they see you and despite some protestations from Mum, she is showered daily and always in clean clothes.
Although she doesn't join in, there seem to be lots of interesting activities for those who want to. Her bedroom and bathroom are clean as is the rest of the home. On visiting for the first time my son said it was like a lovely hotel and wanted to book in!

The overall standard of this home is very good, the care and support of residents is excellent. All the residents are treated with respect and dignity. Staff are very friendly and only too glad to help. The rooms are very nice and to a good standard. They have very good facilities and is a very clean home. We were delighted to find Sandiacre Court for my mother who suffers from dementia. Since she moved in Sandiacre Court has fulfilled all our expectations and more. It is spacious, light and airy and the staff are expert, cheerful and very friendly. Their patience knows no bounds.

From the outset, the setting is attractive looking out from a highpoint over the trees and housing of Sandiacre. The welcome in reception is warm and helpful. The welcome on the floors is the same with all staff from cleaners to nurses treating our relatives and ourselves with kindness, patience and a cheerful sense of humour. The decor everywhere is beautiful- like a smart hotel, yet it has a home feel while being immaculately maintained. Any concerns we may have are respected and communication is excellent. The rooms (individual bedrooms) are large and comfortable with roomy and very well equipped bathrooms. All of them have an attractive view- no bins or concrete yards. Food is fantastic. Our relative settled very quickly and is safe and coddled.

Donna Evans, the friendly face you'll see at Sandiacre Court Care Centre, has been a part of the Nottinghamshire care community for over 15 years. Starting as a care assistant, Donna's passion for helping others led her to work with people of all ages, from those with learning disabilities to young adults and more recently the elderly. She's now an experienced care home manager with a thorough appreciation of how to deliver great care whilst nurturing a vibrant care community.
