I cannot fault any of the staff. They do as much as possible in the time they have. I would say some temp/agency staff require more training as regular staff have to work harder to keep on top of things. All in all my dad is happy at Holyrood. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Holyrood for the hard work they put in. Kind regards.

Overall satisfied with service, however more staff required on shift as buzzers not always answered quickly enough causing incontinence at times.
Staff are very friendly, caring and compassionate.

Thank you to everyone for caring for my parents.

Holyrood House offers bespoke care for people suffering from dementia. First impressions upon arrival are important, so I was pleased to note that the home is modern, clean, very spacious and situated in a relatively quiet and respectable area. They offer decent-sized bedrooms with ensuite facilities. The staff are very professional and friendly. There is a new menu each day with alternative meals and choices. Each floor has it's own, separate, well-run kitchen area and seating area, As well as a designated TV lounge, there are also rooms where residents can enjoy peace and quiet.

It comforts me to know that my wife is being properly looked after by well-trained staff.

My mum was in the Holyrood from November 2023. The care she received was exceptional. They couldn't do enough for her. She was happy while she was there and at the end they were very professional and sympathetic. We always felt that she was really cared for and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We would like to thank all the staff and admin people for their caring ways and the help they provided us with while my mum was there.

We sadly lost my father-in-law this week, after he had spent over two years living at Holyrood. We cannot express our thanks enough for the excellent care and support he received. He always said how much he loved living there and called it his five star, all inclusive home. All of the staff have been brilliant during this time but especially the carer who always went that “extra mile” to help not only Dad but all the family.

We have always felt that Dad was truly cared for in a safe and supportive environment.

My dad's well-being since living at Holyrood has improved massively. He is well cared for and he is safe. Lovely environment and staff. Very warm and welcoming home. My dad loves his self-contained room with all his personal things. It is his home now and knowing there is always someone there for his welfare makes him feel safe and gives me peace of mind too.

The realisation that a loved one needs to be cared for by others is difficult to comprehend. Especially when you know it's for the last few weeks of their life. Handing them over to people who are, in essence, strangers comes with worry and suspicion. Asking yourself 'will they take time to get to know her', 'will they treat her with the dignity and respect she deserves', 'will they give her their time, because they want to not because they have to' and 'do they actually care' (to name a few).

Well, myself and my family all agree that the answer to those questions is a resounding 'yes they will, and yes they do'. For the time my grandmother was in their care everyone at Holyrood showed her more than just care, they showed her unresounding love and respect, and not just her but all my family too. I cannot thank Holyrood enough for how they treated my grandmother, it's a great comfort to know that her last few days were spent in a place full of thoughtfulness, warmth and love. Thank you.

The home was clean, good choice of food, well laid out dining area. The activity plan is excellent. Residents asked what they wanted to do. All carers are very caring and loving to all. They try their best but sometimes the bell rings for a long time before someone comes to check. We were welcomed at every visit by lovely staff who took the time to talk to us. Nothing was too much trouble. Overall a home that really cares. Thank you to all for the love and kindness you gave to my mum. All have a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.

Lost mum in october 2023 after spending time in Holyrood House she loved it there in her room where she sat and watched the many birds in her little garden. Many thanks to all staff for her care. She made quite a few friends and really enjoyed talking to her many visitors whilst she resided in Holyrood House.

All the staff nurses, and management were all brilliant in making him comfortable, and safe with exceptional care and support, they were also brilliant with us as a family nothing was too much trouble, and they got anything we asked for.
What a lovely warming atmosphere.

Prior to Holyrood house, our mum was in another care home which we thought was good - how wrong we were! We cannot believe the difference this home has made to all of us. Our mum is cared for with love and dignity and the staff are amazing they keep you informed of everything they are fun and caring. We are confident of her care when we leave her. Cannot recommend this home more highly.

Mum lived her last 6 months in Holyrood, she was on the nursing floor and was happy and settled. She loved the staff they made her last months very comfortable and in her last days, the care she received was amazing. Although Mum didn't take part in many of the activities, she was encouraged to interact with other residents and she loved singing along to CDs in the lounge with the other residents and staff. Mum loved having her hair done on Tuesdays when she was well enough and she loved having her nails done too. Many thanks to All the staff for making Mum's last days as happy as they could be. I would recommend Holyrood without a doubt to anyone who is looking for a home for their loved one.

Since arriving at the home for her end-of-life care, the staff have been brilliant, right from the admin through to the care staff. They have looked after my mother-in-law, showing the utmost care and understanding to all her needs, and they have treated her gently and maintained her dignity at all times. The home is clean and well-maintained.
