My dad came to the home following periods of being in and out of hospital which was not a pleasant place to be. My dad's health had suffered badly over the previous 3 to 4 months with Vascular Dementia, Pneumonia and various other health issues. Unfortunately, my dad was only able to enjoy the wonderful home for less than two weeks before he passed away, but what an excellent home it is. From the moment he became a resident to the time of his passing, my dad was really well cared for with compassion and dignity. I cannot speak highly enough of the care home, its wonderful staff and management - myself, my family and my mum are very grateful to the home for the love and care they provided my dad in his last few days.

My dad spent last five months in Holyrood House. He was really happy and content and extremely well looked after. We as family were all treated well too. Dad initially sent from hospital for care assessment which was carried out with care and professionalism. Once decision made for him needing full time care. Was an easy decision for family as we knew how well he was adjusting. He was happy to be there himself. All decisions were made with his inclusion and he himself was happy to be there. The staff always had a smile for him and we felt that he was truly well looked after. After two weeks isolation when we did get see him we were impressed with how he looked. Such an improvement looked so well. He was truly happy the whole time he was there as his son that meant a lot.
