My dad was a very unwell gentleman and was receiving end-of-life care, requiring 24-hour support.

We visited the care home over the weekend, where we were met by some amazing staff who kindly showed us around and took the time to explain everything to us. The following day, they attended the hospital to complete the admission process, and by Tuesday, my dad was moved from hospital into the care home.

Sadly, my dad was only there for a couple of days before he passed away, but the care, kindness and compassion shown by the staff during such a difficult time meant so much to our family.

I genuinely cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did for my dad and for supporting us as a family during his final days.

I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a caring and compassionate environment for their loved one.

Secondly the home it's self is a place of calm and comfort, the meals are of a high standard as are the domestic team involving laundry and cleaninliness. Recently I have noticed a massive improvement on Activities and lifestyle options for the residents to take part in. It was good before but the last few months the lifestyle team have really upped their game! Fantastic! After a recent hospital stay my Dad couldnt wait to get back 'home' to magdalen and he was welcomed back with open arms, was lovely to see how the staff had missed him! Thankyou all! I would hesitate in recommending you to anyone needing care later in life.

The handyman painted Sue's room before she moved in and is happy to hang pictures or sort niggles. Laundry runs like clockwork, returned pressed and hung up the next day.

My wife has been at Magdalen 40 months during all this time the care + love the staff give to all the resident sis truly magnificent, indeed second to none, plus the support + help they provide for family members is invaluable. The building and all the facilities are outstanding.

On arrival at Magdalen Park home it is very welcoming, lovely to see what the residents have been growing in their community garden. Staff are very welcoming, friendly and always smiling which is lovely to see. The care they gave my uncle is amazing and can see he is well cared for and his needs are always met. He is very happy and settled in the home with his home comforts and is treated with dignity and respect. The activities they provide for all the residents is truly amazing, they put a smile on the residents face daily and lovely to see on the social media. The home is very clean and well presented.

My mother was a resident in the home for four weeks before she moved to another care home because we did not feel that she was being cared for properly, mainly due to staffing shortages. The buzzer system was broken for much of her stay. The internet was down for some time which meant that the buzzers did not work then. We were told that hourly checks would be made, which, as mum was not mobile, would not be sufficient. The lack of staff meant that she would have to wait a long time for any assistance. There was a Norovirus outbreak. When she moved to the different care home, Magdalen did not send her 'just in case' medication and the new home had to ring and request them. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The home also offers a varied range of activities, giving residents plenty of opportunities to remain active, engaged and involved. We are very grateful to the whole team for everything they do.

The staff here are very respectful and the excellent care that is given to the residents is clear to see by anyone visiting. From Kitchen Assistants to Senior Managers, they all work well together to provide an amazing environment

I find Magdalen Park, a wonderful place, very welcoming and accommodating my mum is very happy, well looked after and settled. She joins in all the activities and has made friends. Since she has been here this last 3 years her mental health and well being has improved greatly.

My experience to date has been excellent. At a time that I have not experienced previously I feel that all my members of staff I have dealt with have been totally professional. Nothing is too much trouble and my mum has been treated with total respect and dignity.

Absolutely amazing place! The staff are so warm and welcoming and always there whenever you need to ask anything or speak to them. We love that there is always activities going on and so much to do for all the residents. Would recommend this care home to everyone in the future.

I have been utterly impressed with Magdalen Park from the day my mama arrived in April 2025. The outstanding care given to Mama is second to none. I could not have wished for a more attentive, loving and caring team. Their dedication to Magdalen residents leaves me feeling confident each day when leaving Mama in their most trusted care. With Stage four cancer, I know her specialist requirements are met with understanding each and every day and night. As Mama is now confined to her bed, the staff ensure she is well taken care of physically and mentally, including her in their wonderful array of activities and events. I highly recommend Magdalen Park to those with elderly relatives hoping to find a "home from home" atmosphere for their loved ones.

The overall experience was excellent - faultless. Could not have asked for better. I felt at ease at all times.

Magdalen Park is a beautiful home. Staff are helpful and attentive every time we visit, nothing appears to be too much trouble. When requesting information it is always given in a timely manner, accurately and efficient. It is clear that they genuinely care for the people they support. The home is clean and well presented. Activities are well planned and varied.

The home is very warm + comfortable, efficient at dealing with concerns + problems. However one problem that has occurred recently is my dad has been caught kissing a couple of ladies initially they said we would have to another home but things have been put in place now but unfortunately each time it happens we have to get 1-1 care for him 24hrs a day at first it was for 1 month which cost us £20,000 a couple of times since it has been only a week or so.

I came from home after making the decision to move and I have really been surprised by the experience. I have been involved in many activities and events and supported the Christmas Fair to raise money for the residents' fund, I like that I can get involved in these things. I like that I can go for a walk in the local area on my own and come back to a friendly face. I have made some friends with other residents and staff. My room is spacious and clean and I have been able to bring belongings and make it homely.

Overall the care and support that Mum receives is fantastic. It's a credit to everyone that she is so settled, relaxed and happy.

I have been visiting Magdalen Park residential care home for over 4 years and it comes highly recommended. The residents are treated with love and dignity and are always treated with respect and well looked after and clean. The rooms and facilities are always clean and well-maintained. All the staff are brilliant and help in every way they can. The food is well prepared and presented in a lovely dining room if residents are well enough to eat in the dining room otherwise they are helped with food in their rooms. As a visitor, I find it very welcoming and everyone is very friendly.

My grandma receives the highest quality care at Magdalen Park. Staff members are friendly, caring and professional. My grandma settled in well after moving from a previous care home and we can rest our minds knowing she is safe and well looked after. She enjoys the peace and quiet, activities and the facilities. My grandma is always well presented and personal care is prioritised. Carers are constantly giving out drinks and snacks throughout the day and meals are of a high standard. Our only regret is that she didn't come to live here sooner!
