Since my mother was admitted to Karuna Manor two months ago, we have noticed a massive improvement in her. She has changed a lot for the better - her memory has improved, she has started reading religious books and has begun to learn the English alphabet. The staff - from reception to carers and catering staff overall, very caring.

The activities and stimulation have helped.

The greatest compliment I can pay this place is the fact that I am completely happy with my grandfather being a resident here. He is happy, so I am happy.

He feels, and is, a valued member of the Karuna Manor community.

So happy with the service of care provided. My Mum came here not saying or communicating much, however, she is so much aware now, to the extent of reading even!

She has not read in over five years, but within a month of being at Karuna Manor, she's so much more alert and active.

It shows she must be receiving a high standard of care and attention. All members of staff are fantastic and so caring. I can relax and not worry about Mum. She is in good hands.

Overall, the experience has been very good. Most staff from reception, admin to nurses are welcoming and caring, especially since the appointment of the current management staff as the situation was unstable with the transition from previous management. The staff are responsive and accommodating to most resident/family needs. There was a delay in involving NHS to assess my father-in-law after an operation to remove a stage 3 bowel tumour to help us pay for his care needs (January but nurse called in August). GP needs to be replaced as non-communicative and insensitive to needs).

All the staff at the home are very friendly and the atmosphere is very much "homely" and the staff make the resident feel like a family. There is always something "happening" - a birthday, a baby shower, to celebrate. The activities are varied, from bhajan, yoga, cooking and so on. The Mandir is the highlight and the bhajan and kirtans are very calming and loved by our parents.

I am very impressed to see the smiling faces of staff and admin staff willing and ready to help. The place is clean and rooms are well lit.
The temple is excellent and there is always some sort of religious reading and songs are played. It is a great place for an old aged and lonely person.

In summer it is a joy to see disabled old folks gathered in the garden and doing light physical exercise. To see them sitting in the open air and with birds flying around makes me feel it is a good quality of care given.

We were initially reluctant to move our mum into a nursing home. After a few weeks, however, it is clear that we could not provide the support at home that she now needs and receives at Karuna Manor. The management and staff are very helpful and caring towards our mum. Our family is also made very welcome when we visit.

Really great welcome by all staff for residents and their families. Wish had been given forms before, but was given lots of help to fill them out. Feel safe about leaving mother here, was always scared of the thought of putting her in a care home before visiting here.

Before I arrived in the UK, I had the privilege of working in Sales and Marketing for almost four years, which has equipped me with excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with all the stakeholders.

In December 2022, I joined our sister care home Kailash Manor, as an Assistant Business Development Manager. During my tenure, I developed strong relationships with both the team and residents and provided support to other TLC homes as well. This experience has instilled in me a sense of responsibility towards the community and a desire to make a positive impact.

I am thrilled to have joined the team at Karuna Manor in August 2024, and I am confident that I will be able to establish good relationships with the residents and their families. I look forward to leveraging my skills and experience to contribute positively to the team’s success.
