This is an excellent home, caring and very thoughtful for service user's needs, particular for different cultures of the south Asian community. My mother's confidence in care homes has been boosted despite all the bad publicity. We need a home like this in Leicestershire.

Karuna Manor has been a Godsend to our family. My father has been living with me for the past 50 years. My father is now 97 years of age and I have only recently determined that I am not able to provide for him the requisite level of care. This was of course very disturbing and demanding for me, but placing him at Karuna Manor has given him a new lease of life. The care team are so invested in their residents and the environment is a true 'home from home'.

Mother is settling in well at Karuna Manor compared to the previous care home as there are more residents who can communicate with each other. The daily event is the Temple and give her a chance to participate. The carers seem to be making a good effort to make sure the residents a take part in the activities.

My grandmother had her first massage in December last year. She felt so much better and relaxed, the lady who did the massage made sure she got the right pressure and took her time to understand what her needs were. Since then she has been having a massage fortnightly which has helped her to relax and sleep better.

My dad is very happy and cheerful. All the staff are very polite, caring and cheerful. Very supportive and helpful. Clients are treated with dignity and respect. Every body loves the temple with special prayers and Bhaja. My dad feels very peaceful. He is always smiling with all the staff. He is a different client from other hospital where he was very aggressive and abusive. He was unhappy.

I thank the manager and his management team for giving excellent support to my wife. All the activities in the Karuna Manor is excellent.
The nurses and support workers are all good and respect the residents.

The Diwali Party and the Christmas Party was well organised and all the friends and relatives enjoyed it. We have a good temple and the priest is giving more support in the religious function which I really appreciate. The food is well cooked and very delicious. thanks to the catters for doing a good job. I recommend that this is the best home and welcome more residents to join.

My mother is a resident at Karuna Manor since April 2015. In a very short period, her overall well being has improved drastically thanks to care, compassion and respect from the staff. Her overall improvement has also been due to the dedication and engagement of the head of activities, who is constantly challenging the residents with new initiatives that encourage their mood, interaction and a feeling of being useful. He is constantly introducing activities that are suitable for residents and conducts with respect, care and compassion. He always makes time for his residents and never fails to disappoint them. One to treasure.

My parents have been admitted to Karuna Manor care home in juke 2015. Both of them suffer from dementia. We, daughters have been visiting our parents twice everyday and from day one, we have had no complaints against any of the staff here. Everybody including the nurses, care staff, kitchen staff, housemaids etc have been very very helpful and supportive to my parents. We have nothing but praise for everybody.

Ravi JoshiJob Title:Business Development ManagerJoined: 2024

Before I arrived in the UK, I had the privilege of working in Sales and Marketing for almost four years, which has equipped me with excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with all the stakeholders.

In December 2022, I joined our sister care home Kailash Manor, as an Assistant Business Development Manager. During my tenure, I developed strong relationships with both the team and residents and provided support to other TLC homes as well. This experience has instilled in me a sense of responsibility towards the community and a desire to make a positive impact.

I am thrilled to have joined the team at Karuna Manor in August 2024, and I am confident that I will be able to establish good relationships with the residents and their families. I look forward to leveraging my skills and experience to contribute positively to the team’s success.

I joined TLC Group in February 2024 as an Office Manager within the Support Office Finance team, where I developed a strong foundation in operational and financial processes. This role provided valuable insight into the organisation’s high standards and commitment to quality care.

I later progressed to Kailash Manor Care Home as an Office Manager, where I gained hands-on experience supporting residents, families, and team members. This role strengthened my ability to build meaningful relationships and deepened my understanding of person-centred care within a residential setting.

In February 2026, I joined Karuna Manor Care Home as an HR and Finance Manager, taking on broader responsibilities including payroll, funding, and financial management. I am passionate about supporting both team members and residents, and I remain committed to contributing towards a positive, inclusive, and high-quality care environment.
