My mum has been a resident of Karuna Manor since 2016. I feel blessed to have found such a beautiful home for my mum who requires dementia care. All staff, ranging from carers, nurses, admin staff, priests, maintenance, cleaning staff, and wellbeing coordinators all the way to management, are all so
respectful and caring towards Mum. They all know her individually and understand what she needs. The food is also of top quality. I have no hesitation in recommending Karuna to anyone. In summary, Mum is very well cared for.

The service given to my relative is outstanding at all times by the management, nurses and all the staff members. They are very kind, polite, helpful, gentle and considerate to by brother-in-law. My mum has been at Karuna Manor for 6 months. Since coming here we have seen a great improvement in her physical and mental health. She is always treated with respect, compassion and dignity by the staff. The excellent and professional care and management team are very caring, friendly, approachable
and always available to reassure and support my mum and us. Nothing is too much trouble for them with always a smile and laughter to share with the residents and family. Karuna Manor provides a clean, tidy and comfortable homely environment with freshly prepared meals and a range of daily activities that keep my mum occupied and happy. She especially loves her time at the temple each morning as praying was such a huge part of her life when she was at her home. She looks forward to the exercise sessions after being to the temple. I have never seen my mum play bingo or do any colouring/painting and now she really enjoys those activities. I have no hesitation in recommending Karuna Manor to anyone looking for a care/nursing home for their loved one.

My grandmother, at 91, had to go into a home because she was too fragile to live by herself. We were worried whether she'd be happy especially as she's Gujarati and doesn't speak English - but the home went out of their way to welcome her and make her an important part of their family. The home is truly
wonderful. The facilities, meals and care she receives are second to none. It's a pleasure to see her come out of her shell and enjoy her final years in comfort. Simple things like carers sitting with her over tea and talking mean a lot. And the whole family is so thankful that she's happy here. If you're thinking about a home for your loved one I would highly recommend Karuna Manor.

Karuna Manor has been caring for my mum since 2016 after she suffered a major stroke. The past year has been an exceptionally difficult year due to the COVID pandemic, but all the staff on the 1st floor and the wider Karuna team of activities, kitchen, laundry, cleaning and office have all done their
best to ensure Mum has been kept safe, well looked after and her mental wellbeing is being looked after. They have been as accommodating, understanding and shown have shown compassion. Myself and my sister are so grateful.

From making a phone call to make an enquiry of our intention to move my mum from another care provider to the day of her moving in, all staff were extremely helpful. I was kindly mailed all the information and responded very promptly to my queries. The manager is exceptional to talk to and approachable.
She has a very professional approach and very helpful. Was handed over to a member of staff to process the administration and admission, who gave exceptional service. He was very efficient and professional in his approach and made the whole process of moving very smooth and easy. On the day of the move, all staff were very helpful and efficient. They are very approachable and no problem is a big problem. Mum has settled in well and extremely happy.

My dad spent his last 6 days in the care of everyone at Karuna Manor this September. I found all the staff (Priests, Nurses, Carers, Entertainment, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Laundry, Maintenance, Reception, Admin, Finance) to be friendly, caring and supportive. The hygiene and cleanliness standards are
high - which is vital during Covid. Residents are offered a variety of activities in groups and in their own rooms. The East African and Indian culture is respected and the onsite temple with it's resident priests is the central communal hub. The vegetarian food is amazing. The manager leads by example and is hands-on and sets the correct tone at the top. Karuna Manor is nicely decorated with lovely gardens but the real asset are the staff and volunteers whose vocation is to serve the residents.

I have only great things to say about Karuna Manor, our grandmother was moved to Karuna Manor during lockdown, the staff have been so attentive and responsive to my grandmother's needs. They have always found a way for us to see and communicate to her such as the video calls and visiting outside/from
a distance, and the face to face interaction even though we can't go near our grandmother has been priceless. We are forever grateful for our grandmother to be in a considerate and caring home with delicious Indian vegetarian food and religious activities that she can be a part of every day and she loves the mild exercise classes from her wheelchair.

Job Title: Business Development Manager Joined: 2024

Before I arrived in the UK, I had the privilege of working in Sales and Marketing for almost four years, which has equipped me with excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain positive relationships with all the stakeholders.


In December 2022, I joined our sister care home Kailash Manor, as an Assistant Business Development Manager. During my tenure, I developed strong relationships with both the team and residents and provided support to other TLC homes as well. This experience has instilled in me a sense of responsibility towards the community and a desire to make a positive impact.


I am thrilled to have joined the team at Karuna Manor in August 2024, and I am confident that I will be able to establish good relationships with the residents and their families. I look forward to leveraging my skills and experience to contribute positively to the team’s success.

Job Title: Care Services Manager Joined: 2020

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2003. I have worked in various departments in both medical and surgical settings, gaining over 18 years of experience along the way.


I joined the TLC family in 2015 and am pleased to say that I have been promoted to the role of Care Services Manager.


I’m honoured to be working with a very dedicated team and amazing residents at Karuna Manor.

I have 3 years of experience working in the care sector and am pleased to be a part of the team here at Karuna Manor.


As the Administration and Finance Manager, I support families and team members with all administrative matters, and I enjoy building relationships with our residents and their families. I enjoy working closely with our team and families and am committed to my role and the support it provides to those around me.

Caleb Ihuoma

Job Title: Practice development lead Joined: 2025

I relocated to the UK in 2022 after eight years of nursing experience in Nigeria, primarily in occupational health. My academic foundation is in public health nursing, and I’m currently completing a Master’s in International Public Health. I’m also a registered Adult Nurse in the UK.


My UK journey began in a care home, where I developed strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of elderly care. I later progressed to a Deputy Manager role, gaining valuable experience in operations and people management, particularly how to support team members in using their skills, experience, and strengths to contribute meaningfully to the organisation.?


Although I didn’t start with a formal background in education, I’ve always had a passion for teaching. From 2018 to 2022, I was a Basic Life Support instructor in Nigeria, training healthcare professionals in CPR and resuscitation. I enjoy sharing knowledge and building confidence in others, which led me to take on the role of Practice Development Lead at TLC.


I’m committed to making a meaningful impact by promoting a culture of learning, growth, and excellence, guided by TLC’s values of Truth, Love, and Compassion. My goal is to help create a safe, supportive environment for staff and a true home for our residents.

Ashish Bhatt brings a wealth of experience from the hotel industry, where he developed a strong background in hospitality, customer service, and operational management. He has successfully transitioned his expertise into the healthcare sector, joining Karuna Manor as Hotel Services Manager.


In his role, Ashish oversees key aspects of the home’s hotel services, ensuring that residents and their families experience the highest standards of comfort, dining, and service. His hospitality-driven approach enhances the overall resident experience, creating a warm, welcoming, and well-managed environment.
