My aunt had 2 weeks respite care after a difficult 6 weeks in hospital. She had no difficulty in deciding to become a permanent resident. She was met with overwhelming kindness, respect and compassion from the minute she set foot in Bryn Ivor. The staff are lovely, approachable and friendly as well as being expertly professional.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that your aunt's transition from respite care to becoming a permanent resident was made easier by the kindness, compassion and professionalism of our team. Your comments will be shared with the team, who will be very...
This home goes above and beyond for both the resident and family members and the staff became part of our extended family.
Mums room was always totally spotless and we could see she was incredibly well cared for all the times we visited. We were always closely informed about all elements of her care (even up to the smallest details) and staff were always quick to know and react appropriately when something wasn't quite right or she was poorly. We put our complete faith and trust into all who cared for mum and we absolutely don't regret it as we knew she was in completely safe hands.
This is certainly one of the best care homes in South Wales and it was honestly THE BEST decision we, as a family, made for our lovely mum.

Staff members treat him with such patience, dignity and genuine affection that it feels less like a care home and more like an extended family. Every member demonstrates remarkable expertise, compassion and attentiveness.
His dementia can make days unpredictable, yet the staff always meet him with calm reassurance and a smile. The atmosphere is warm, the communication is excellent and the level of personalised care is outstanding.
Knowing he is safe, understood and truly cared for has brought our family so much peace.
It's rare to find a home that blends professionalism with such heartfelt care, but this home achieves it beautifully. We cannot recommend Bryn Ivor Lodge highly enough.

Mum arrived just a few days ago. So warmly welcomed, the staff gave us time to settle Mum in, a difficult time for everyone really, the staff were so attentive, empathic & caring - when leaving I felt totally reassured by the whole feel of the home & the team. On phone calls the staff had so much time to talk and didn't feel rushed or put aside at all. On my first visit back, Mum had settled in beautifully. There is so much to do there, lots of activities to stimulate & occupy all residents. There is total dignity for my mum all the time. Thankyou for the care.
Thank you for your kind words, we are so pleased that your Mums first few days have supported her to settle in at Bryn Ivor Lodge, we are very proud of the team here. Please be assured i will share your feedback with the team

This is a wonderful care home with amazing staff & beautiful surroundings for my father-in-law who absolutely loves it here.
Thank you very much for your nice review of our home. It's lovely to hear your father in law is enjoying life at Bryn Ivor Lodge. Our staff works very hard to keep our residents happy and safe- we will pass your lovely review to them.
My Mum has been a resident at Bryn Ivor Lodge for nearly a year now. She was originally in the residential unit but has moved to nursing care in the last couple of months due to her increasing care needs following a hip fracture. She originally came to the residential unit following a hospital admission. From our first enquiry to now every member of staff we have dealt with has been very professional but also caring and pleasant. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum enjoys the delicious food and loves to discuss what's on the menu. The activities are well thought out and run to encourage socialisation of all the residents. We couldn't be happier with Mum's care at Bryn Ivor Lodge and every time we visit Mum tells us how much she likes the home and how friendly all the staff are.
Thank you very much for your positive review, our staff works very hard to to make all our residents' stay the best it can be.I will pass your kind words to our staff members. Warm regards, Bryn Ivor Lodge Team

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I will pass on your kind words and lovely comments to the team.
The nursing care experienced by my aunt for the last 2-3 years of her life has been exceptional. Without doubt, it surpassed considerably the care available for the elderly in their final days at hospital. The familiar faces, voices and routines have been a comfort. The compassion and care provided by all staff from receptionists to cleaners, & of course nursing staff has been priceless
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I will pass on your kind words and lovely comments to the team.

My mum was given a lovely room and was looked after really well. The management and staff of the home were the key - they were really professional and caring. My mum was nearly 97 and needed a lot of looking after but she could not have received better care anywhere else that I know of. Top marks to Bryn Ivor Lodge. You are great!

The activities programme is both well-structured and impressively varied, designed to cater to different interests, abilities, and personalities. Each day presents new opportunities for residents to engage, connect, and enjoy themselves. Whether it's a lively group session or a quiet one-to-one activity, the emphasis is always on meaningful engagement and enjoyment.
Every Friday includes an amazing baby group for everyone
Thank you for your kind words and comments, it was a pleasure having you come to the home and participate with the residents in activities.
The Christmas fayre was a great success for residents and visitors alike. It was a very festive atmosphere and of course, the grandchildren loved their visit to Santa's grotto.
