I'm writing this review specifically to mention one of your carers on Tredegar. She has got a really lovely way with the residents (especially my mother). She is very caring, kind and an absolutely credit to her professional. I can't fault her.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased to hear that you would recommend our home! I will pass on your lovely comments to the team.
Wish to thank the activities coordinator and all the staff concerned for making my aunt's 103rd birthday such a special occasion.

A birthday party was held for my relative in the care of Barchester Bryn Ivor Lodge Care Home. The activities lead organised it all with such care and attention to detail. She greeted us all and looked after everything and made sure we all had what we needed without intruding - she got it just right. There was a harpist playing in the background which was a lovely touch. Food was plentiful and delicious. Most importantly, the birthday girl and her guests were made to feel very special.

My father recieved excellent care and support. He was hesitant at first, but soon opened up and enjoyed the atmosphere at the Lodge. The staff were reassuring and even managed to help him engage in some of the activities that were provided. I would have no hesitation in my father staying at the Lodge for future respite care.

Absolutely beautiful from when you drive up. Lovely maintained gardens to the overall interior - like walking into a five-star hotel which was perfect for my father as we didn't want him to think he was going into a care home. The facilities and rooms were lovely and clean. The food was excellent and again, the dining room was like walking into a restaurant. The staff were excellent, looked after my father so well which was peace of mind for the family. The overall standard was excellent and in the future, would not even consider putting my father anywhere else.

Supporting the changing needs of dementia, fabulous, caring staff.
Dad was always treated with dignity and kindness at all times.
He thoroughly enjoyed his meals!
The entertainment/activities team work so hard, always cheerful and smiling, tailoring activities to individuals.
A special mention to all those on Seagar Community who became Dad's Bryn Ivor family.

I live overseas and I have relied entirely on communication by telephone. Since visiting the home, I am extremely pleased with both the facilities and staff. I have found the staff to be extremely friendly and efficient. It is fair to say that it has exceeded my expectations. I am completely confident in the quality of care being provided for my brother. I would just like to say a big "thank you" to you all.

Staff are so kind and patient with her. She has vascular dementia and at times, she can be quite challenging but the staff are wonderful.
Mum really enjoys all of the activities, especially the trips on the bus.
They also keep us informed of any change in her condition.

My mum came in for emergency respite and the care and kindness shown to her and our family was five-star. Her room was beautiful and very clean. Carers and nurses were lovely and made Mum feel very special, can’t thank you enough.

My mother has dementia and was against going into a care home. I work with dementia sufferers every day but it's very different when it's close family. I was worried that she would not settle but there was no need. Mum has settled better than I could have ever imagined. The staff have been wonderful. I am so grateful for the care and kindness they have given Mum and the support they have given myself and my family. Thank you!

My grandmother's care at Bryn Ivor Lodge was exemplary. She was a resident for 2 years. The staff were lovely, very accommodating and always looked after her with love and care. Always looked after the family as well. Nothing was too much trouble for the grandkids and family members to the very end.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased to hear that the care your loved one received was exemplary. I will pass on your lovely comments to the team.
If I continued to be at home my wife and I would have been stressed and worried, whereas since we have been here none of that has happened. We are well looked after, warm, well-fed and comfortable. Looking after my wife would have been unbearably stressful. An exceptionally caring staff. Of course, this has taken away all the problems from my family.
I visited a friend who is a resident in your home, we meet quite regularly. She is always happy and very comfortable and is in good spirits. She always praises the staff and there is always something going on. The home is always spotless and the people are always cared for.

Only able to write about my experiences with my mother who has advanced dementia and needs nursing care. Staff are all amazing, although I often feel that whilst meeting staffing levels, this community needs more, especially as some residents would benefit from more attention and one-to-one interaction.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, your feedback is extremely important to us. We are currently reviewing the activities that we have available on all our communities. As you have already mentioned we are fully staffed and our activities team are looking at spending more one-to-one...
I would like to thank the manager and the team for their care and dedication. I also like that if we are up in the bistro, everyone knows Dad and will stop to say hello. I would be happy to recommend Barchester Bryn Ivor.
