Chris is a bit reluctant to come at times to the day centre once a week but always a positive response at the end of the day and glad he went. He enjoys all the activities bingo reading the paper meeting other people including the staff. Lunch is always well received and enjoys telling me what was on the menu
So glad we found this facility as it is a positive outcome for us both.

This has also led to a residential stay across the way earlier this year which worked really well

Thank you so much for your review Di, we are so pleased you see a positive result when Chris comes to the day centre, it was also our pleasure to care for him during his two week respite stay.

The care home staff continue to look after my sister's needs to a very high standard always happy to help her with whatever she requires at the time. My sister wakes early and prefers to have her breakfast brought to her at 4 am every morning. I am grateful that the carers can help my sister in this way and in many other ways. All the staff I meet on Windsor suite when visiting my sister are always very friendly and caring and obviously devoted to their work.

After moving my father to Ipswich 14 years ago from London, myself and my sister, along with my mum, have done all we can to care for him, sheltered accommodation was a great stepping stone whilst we could help him manage. Not always a great relationship, it became a struggle and after numerous falls and rehab beds, we had to take the step of a care home.
WOW, my father is like a different man, he socializes, laughs and eats well. It is now a nice visit when we see him. He has increased in weight, he actually gets involved in the events they have, which are often. I cannot believe he is the same man.

Thank you, especially on Stuart suite

The standard of this care home is very good. Visitors are greeted with a warm welcome and a big smile on arrival. Staff are friendly, kind, caring and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble if you have a query or concern - you're made to feel included in the care of your relative.

Prince George House is very clean throughout, and menu choices are varied, well balanced - and smell delicious !

My mum has recently become a resident and she is settling in very well. She is walking more with her walking aid than she has over the last 18 months. She has made friends and joined in several activities. The staff are very supportive and friendly. They encourage her to eat and drink which is making her more aware of her surroundings, more independent and stimulated. We are already seeing a big improvement in her quality of life. Thanks to all the staff.

My husband was diagnosed with motor neurone disease last June and was given three months to live but because of the genuine care of the staff at Prince George House, I am grateful to God for giving him more time so I could spend more time with my beloved husband. He was cared for and loved by everyone for six months at Prince George House. The staff from day one went above and beyond to ensure they prioritized what was important to my husband. There is a lovely atmosphere, very warm and friendly. The staff are wonderful and so helpful and the management team was outstanding, always very approachable, supportive and happy to help.
We're both happy, relaxed, and feels at home. It is a very high standard of cleanliness, food and activities.

Much respect and gratefulness for what you all do. Your compassion and hard work mean the world to me and my husband. Thank you all so much xxx

We recently moved our loved one to Prince George House and from the moment we walked through the door, it felt homely and welcoming. All the staff, without exception, have been so helpful in assisting us to settle our loved one into their new home. Extended family members have also visited and they have all been very impressed with the home, it's cleanliness, the professionalism shown by every staff member and the way they have been made to feel so welcome. Whever we have visited we have been very pleased with the care provided to our loved one and we have seen the high standard of care provided to other residents too. There are a lot of activities taking place too. Although it has only been a a couple of weeks, our loved one is settled, very well cared for and Prince George House feels like home already for them.

Inadequate receipt given by chiropodist, written on pages from a receipt book (purchased in a high street shop?). No one noticed a badly infected toe which could have led to blood poisoning (March '25) after chiropodist did the resident's feet. I noticed during a brief visit as I live near London. Food not good - 2nd rate for what is paid - £1000 pw. The resident is not encouraged to eat better. Some staff carers are rude - bad spillage in bathroom, I had to ask cleaning to make safe - much water on floor. Carer who also arrived was rude and spoke to the resident as if she was three years old.

My elderly mum, who has Alzheimer's and Dementia, attended the Prince George House Day Centre on Fridays, which was beneficial for her and gave my brother, her primary carer, some respite. After a bad reaction to antibiotics for a UTI, she lost her mobility. We contacted Prince George House for respite care. The Day Centre Manager, visited us at home to explain the process, and Mum agreed to go in. The Home is lovely, bright, and airy, with welcoming staff. We could visit anytime, and dogs were welcome. The night staff were friendly, and I felt reassured that Mum was in safe hands. There were plenty of activities, and Mum's room had an ensuite, TV, and a big window. The Home arranged for a physio to visit, and they kept us informed about any issues or changes. Mum stayed in respite for just over a month. When we needed her to stay longer due to equipment delivery delays, the Home accommodated us. When Mum left, she could sit up and stand with aid. Thank you so much to all the team!

The staff cared for my Aunty and me as well!! Despite the short time my Aunty was there she picked up quickly after a hospital stay. It was wonderful to see her up and dressed, nails painted and wonderful care. From the admin staff, carers, nurses, manager and assistant manager they all played their part. They took the time to listen and were so keen to know about her so they could support her in every way. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend

My mum is a new resident to this home, and it is the first time we have experienced this type of care.
I was very apprehensive and sad that it had to come to residential care for mum.
Well today I saw my mum smile she joined in with the entertainment that was on today,
it was brilliant to see, and watching how the staff go round involving everyone I know
this is the best thing we have done for mum, she seems more alive , it's wonderful.

Thank you all so much

My mother has certainly become more responsive since she has been at Prince George House. There is a good variety of activities during the week that she can join in with that keeps her occupied and her mind active. The one thing that mum doesn't like is being lonely and the 8 weeks that she has been in the home she hasn't mentioned it once. The staff are very friendly and will always check and make sure mum is ok. She loves the food and it's reassuring for the family that we know she is eating well. The management and staff are always very approachable and happy to help.

Mum had a stroke that changed everything for her, she had been in hospital for a long time and has a lot of needs. From our first visit to look around, everyone was so lovely and caring. They listened to all our questions with care and empathy. Since Mum arrived (Christmas week), and all the busyness with presents for residents, Father Christmas, there was so much love, care and support for her. She craves attention and they are so patient and kind. Her room is beautiful and clean, variety in food that she can manage with support, she has made friends. She is not forced to do anything she doesn't want. Entertainment is varied. It's been such a relief knowing she is in good hands while we adjust to this stage of her life. Very thankful.

Luminita TriffJob Title:Home Manager

I joined Care UK in 2015 after achieving my nursing qualification in Romania and working there as a Nurse.

I was looking for a new challenge and decided to apply for a nursing job in the UK. Care UK was recommended to me, and I’ve been here for the past eight years.

Moving to the UK and succeeding in my role in a completely new health system has been the biggest professional challenge in my career. I’ve risen the ranks, starting as a nurse and moving from Clinical Lead to Deputy Manager and now Home Manager.

To do this job well, it’s important to be caring and compassionate, have effective communication skills, problem-solving skills, leadership and resilience. My favourite part of the working day is when I feel that I’ve made a positive difference in someone’s life. I aim to do the best I can to fulfil my job role while practising kindness.

Since I moved to the UK, the residents at Prince George's House and my colleagues have become my second family, and I love and value them all as much as my own family.

When I’m not working, I like to chat with my son and his family who live in Romania. I also unwind by reading, listening to music, playing training programmes to improve my language skills, watching films, and travelling.
