Having had my late mother in Prince George House for 18 months, I felt that it was a welcoming home and the residents are well looked after. The management and care staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. "Keep up the excellent work".

We are so pleased that dad is in such a wonderful home. The facilities are excellent. The carers really listen and nothing is too much trouble. We can see they genuinely care. The care extends to the whole family too. The management and admin staff are all hands-on and interested too. A real home from home.

My mother was only at Prince George House for 4 days as she passed away.

The care and compassion shown to both her and her family was second to none. The care she was shown at her passing was wonderful and a great comfort to me as I was present. I will remember the compassion shown to not just her but myself as she passed for ever more.

My 95-year-old mother was resident in Prince George House for the final 3 weeks of her life, having been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May. She had reached a stage when she could no longer be looked after in her own home. It was a difficult decision to make but we were extremely happy with the care and support she received in Prince George House from all the staff.

Unfortunately, she wasn't well enough to participate in the activities on offer or to make full use of the excellent facilities.

My husband had a week's respite care at Prince George House. From the moment of my enquiry, through to the end of the respite period, Prince George House care and attention to detail were excellent. I felt extremely confident to leave my husband in the care of the amazing staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Several of my family and friends visited during that week and told me how impressed they were with the facilities and care. I shall certainly recommend Prince George House. Thank you.

My Dad has been in Prince George House for 2 weeks now, having come straight from an exhausting spell in hospital. It's been a very emotional time for my Mum as well as the rest of the family. Mum is, of course, devastated my Dad cannot come home.
From the very first contact with the Prince George House, the staff have been the most understanding people I have come across in a long while. They were there for me during the emotional time of Dad's transfer on that first day and the situation was managed with sensitivity and respect; not only to my Dad but they were aware of the tremendous turmoil my Mum and I were feeling.
Two weeks later my Dad is and looks well cared for. The staff have made an effort to understand his needs, likes and dislikes. He is treated with respect and dignity.

My Mum visits every day and is welcomed and included in Dad's daily activities and care as much as she wants. Not only my Dad looks well but my Mum too looks well. She is relaxed and happy that my Dad is being well cared for although, obviously, still wants him home.

Staff are polite and friendly and helpful, also keep us informed, also the care home is very good.
I would like the staff to let us know when my brother is getting low on things before he runs out.
It's good that staff take him out when they can.
Overall it's thumbs up.
Keep up the good work.

Thank you.

My parents have now been in your care home for 19 months and I cannot fault the care they receive. Nothing is too much trouble for your managers and staff and they are very approachable if I have a problem or question. 'Care' is the appropriate word!

My husband's care has been good. They try to involve him in activities. Sometimes care is not as good, not down to the staff but lack of staff.

Staff work hard but at times, there are just about enough of them. Agency staff, on the whole, have been good but one having said my husband was wet because he had spilt his drink so didn't see the need to change him, should have been told off by regular staff but wasn't. I insisted he changed him.

Luminita Triff
Luminita TriffJob Title:Home Manager

I joined Care UK in 2015 after achieving my nursing qualification in Romania and working there as a Nurse.

I was looking for a new challenge and decided to apply for a nursing job in the UK. Care UK was recommended to me, and I’ve been here for the past eight years.

Moving to the UK and succeeding in my role in a completely new health system has been the biggest professional challenge in my career. I’ve risen the ranks, starting as a nurse and moving from Clinical Lead to Deputy Manager and now Home Manager.

To do this job well, it’s important to be caring and compassionate, have effective communication skills, problem-solving skills, leadership and resilience. My favourite part of the working day is when I feel that I’ve made a positive difference in someone’s life. I aim to do the best I can to fulfil my job role while practising kindness.

Since I moved to the UK, the residents at Prince George's House and my colleagues have become my second family, and I love and value them all as much as my own family.

When I’m not working, I like to chat with my son and his family who live in Romania. I also unwind by reading, listening to music, playing training programmes to improve my language skills, watching films, and travelling.
