Prince George House

My father was admitted to Prince George House last year after a sudden illness. Having never been away from my mother and his home in 65 years he was obviously very anxious. The staff were so very kind and welcomed him into the home. Dad soon realised that he was very well cared for and that he could ask for assistance at any time. He enjoyed mealtimes in the dining area where he soon made friends and also enjoyed socialising with the lovely staff. All staff were so very helpful. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. When hospitalised towards the end of his life his wish was to be returned to Prince George as soon as possible where he knew he would be treated with love and respect. Close family members were able to visit and be with him when he passed away. For this we were truly grateful, it meant so much to us to be by his side. The staff are wonderful. Thank you to all the staff. It was a pleasure to know you all and heartfelt thanks for all you did for Dad.

Prince George House is very welcoming as soon as you walk in you are greeted with the polite and professional Receptionist. My mother-in-law always praise the staff how helpful and caring they are. Meals, snacks and drinks are always available and the rooms are always clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.

The care home is excellent for all reasons especially care given to clients by staff. Every care is taken to ensure residents have a comfortable life and provide interesting activities while residents are invited to attend if they wish. Have found telephone reception and general staff extremely kind and helpful. They are very understanding of situations and go out of their way to give advice if needed.

I cannot recommend Prince George House enough. My husband going into residential care was the hardest decision of my life but found the reception and admin staff are always cheerful and helpful. The rooms are lovely and very clean. The nursing is excellent, and the carers are absolutely brilliant. There are always activities, entertainers and sing-a-longs to keep residents stay cheerful and active. Thank you, everyone, for making a heartbreaking decision more bearable.

Could be better communication with the family if the resident is getting short of items. Could do repairs quicker (e.g. emergency cord in the toilet/bathroom).

Clean home, staff are friendly, home looks welcoming and good activities.

Care Home staff are amazing, helpful, kind, patient and thoughtful. Plenty of activities ongoing, the home and rooms are always clean and tidy and there’s always tea and cake! When I have provided feedback on improving communication, it was immediately acted upon.

I especially like the way the staff will listen to my concerns or questions I have.

Staff are very friendly, have been really helpful with questions as Mum recently arrived at Prince George House. Visits have all gone smoothly and have no issues.

Having had my late mother in Prince George House for 18 months, I felt that it was a welcoming home and the residents are well looked after. The management and care staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. "Keep up the excellent work".

Everything is very satisfactory and the care is excellent. The activities are very good, especially the music and we look forward to going out for minibus trips.

The care extends to the whole family too. The management and admin staff are all hands-on and interested too. A real home from home.

The care and compassion shown to both her and her family was second to none. The care she was shown at her passing was wonderful and a great comfort to me as I was present. I will remember the compassion shown to not just her but myself as she passed for ever more.

Unfortunately, she wasn't well enough to participate in the activities on offer or to make full use of the excellent facilities.

My husband had a week's respite care at Prince George House. From the moment of my enquiry, through to the end of the respite period, Prince George House care and attention to detail were excellent. I felt extremely confident to leave my husband in the care of the amazing staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Several of my family and friends visited during that week and told me how impressed they were with the facilities and care. I shall certainly recommend Prince George House. Thank you.

My Mum visits every day and is welcomed and included in Dad's daily activities and care as much as she wants. Not only my Dad looks well but my Mum too looks well. She is relaxed and happy that my Dad is being well cared for although, obviously, still wants him home.
