Comes to all my expectations cannot fault a single thing. Staff are very friendly and will go that extra mile to be of any help whatever is needed. On occasions when I had to ring the bell it was answered very promptly.

My son has terminal secondary breast cancer, which has spread to his bones and brain. I needed to find my son a comfortable place to be his last home. He needs 24-hour care, I live quite near to Cavell Court and walked in unannounced, so I could see what it was like. I was overjoyed to see such a beautiful place and staff are so friendly, more like a 5 star hotel. Luckily there was a room available for my son. He has been in Cavell court for nearly 4 weeks, and I must say it is a lovely, caring, clean home. The managers and staff are first class, he is happy with all aspects. Sadly, he is deteriorating, but we have comfort in my son being cared for.

The short time my mother spent here we were very happy, she really enjoyed it. The home is warm and friendly, as soon as you walked in the door, the staff and management were courteous and professional, but most of all, they treated the residents with respect and patience. Mum loved to joke with them and they loved her, our greatest regret is we did not make the decision to come here sooner, it was like you were a part of the family. It's one of a kind - you don't find places like this often. Thank you.

Since my dad has been at Cavell Court everyone has shown so much care and support to my father and to my husband and I. Each member of staff always goes that extra mile and they care for my Dad as if he was their dad which is just great. he is very happy, cared for and safe. We could not have wished for a better place. Thank you all.

Love the care givers they are the kindest and most attentive people (staff) I would recommend this care home to anyone and everyone. I have even said I would want to be in the place if I need it one day, even though I live in the United States.

After having been in hospital nearly 7 weeks this is wonderful. Staff are so friendly and cheerful. If you are down you don't stay down for long. It's a lovely place. I am on a special diet and staff have tried very hard to find something that I like and can enjoy. I would like to recommend this to anyone.

My mother comes to Cavell Court for regular respite weekends. She is 84, suffered a severe stroke leaving her unable to speak and paralysed down her right hand side. The staff work hard to make her feel welcome and comfortable and are always friendly and cheerful. The home is like a 4* hotel and is furnished as beautifully as our own home so it really is a "home from home" for mum. Great food and coffee too!

This is a truly excellent place. Surpassed any expectation I had of a home. The staff are extremely caring, kind and friendly. The rooms are very well thought out with en-suite wet room. A good choice of food, with the chef always prepared to offer an alternative if a resident do not want the menu choice. I love the fact there are table cloths, serviettes and printed menus. There is a kitchen area where visitors can make themselves tea or coffee and also a coffee shop by reception. Activities and trips are on offer for those residents who wish to take part.

Dad came into Cavell Court for a week while I was on holiday. The carers are all very nice indeed and very caring and very attentive to dad, especially in the night when he does not sleep. It was a huge relief for me to know he was being well cared for while I was away. The variety of sitting rooms is a success as is the café and the lovely coffee.

We came to visit a friend today. We were met and taken to her room. We have visited friends in care homes before but not Care UK homes this is excellent, staff so friendly and even came into the room while we were there excellent. We have been made to feel that this is more than a care home and must be so much nicer than others. We spoke to the head chef about menus once again excellent! A lady that showed us around gave us more of an insight into the home. We cannot say enough about Cavell Court and this was only our first visit! Staff are very happy.

This is now my home and I quickly add a very happy one. It is difficult to describe the many features that contribute to make it so. First and foremost the friendly and efficient carers and the beautiful décor, this care home is so well run it nearly doesn't seem like one. More like a luxurious holiday camp! with activities and food fit for a king! I feel honoured to spend my final days here, knowing I shall be in very special caring hands. My grateful thanks.

On inspection of visiting the care home and its staff I simply had no hesitation that this is the place I wanted my father to come for his respite care. On reflection it was like a five star hotel and I justified the cost as him being on a wonderful holiday with good food and being totally cared for in wonderful surroundings. I am now picking him up and am so pleased with his comments and listening to what the staff and his carers has emphasised. I am really happy that I made this decision, which I must admit was difficult in the beginning, but will not hesitate to do again in the future funds permitting.

Beautiful home and staff to match, I am very pedantic and find nothing but excellence here. My mothers health has improved within 7 days with the care provided - praiseworthy indeed and a credit to the staff when my mother is 91 with a complex history.

Meet the Team (1)

Pedro Campos
Pedro CamposJob Title:Home Manager

I qualified as a Nurse in Portugal in 2010, and my first care job in the UK was for Care UK.

I left after five years to progress my career, but I decided to return because I believe in Care UK’s values and commitment to caring for residents.

Care UK is the best place I have ever worked. The support provided to colleagues is fantastic. Providing care is about being passionate and committed. As Home Manager, I believe it’s important to listen to and support residents, relatives and colleagues in the home on a day-to-day basis. I work hard to make a difference in their lives.

The safety and well-being of the residents living at Cavell Court are of the utmost importance to me, and ensuring all procedures are followed is an important part of my role. My favourite part of the day is walking around the home every morning to talk to each resident and team member.

When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my family. I enjoy time in the garden and do DIY at home.
