The staff from cleaners to assistants, nurses and management treated my mum like a Queen as she was passing away. They were so kind and you could see that this was more than a job, they truly cared to the extent each and everyone who has looked after mum came in to say their emotional goodbyes. A truly remarkable bunch of people who supported our family through a difficult time. Even after her passing mum was treated with utmost respect, washing and drying her hair, dressing her in nice clothes which made our last glimpse of mum as nice as it could possibly have been. We will forever be grateful. Brendan
Brendan, thank you so much for your kind review. Mum is truly missed every day, as are all of you. Mums smile lit up any room, and we all have our own fond memories of her which we hold dear.
There are various entertainment activities and a lot of thought and organisation goes into these.
Regarding the home. I can honestly say it is kept immaculately clean and no smell which is often associated with these homes. There is a good choice of hot food everyday and it is cooked freshly on the premises.
In summary, I am extremely happy with the care my uncle receives.
Thank you Lynne, your kind feedback is appreciated and we take great pleasure in providing care to your uncle and welcoming you for your visits.
I'm very pleased with the care my great uncle is receiving at Tremona. He is always very well presented and clean. He enjoys the meals at the home and the entertainment/activities provided. There is a lovely atmosphere within the home and you always feel welcome. The home is clean and the staff are very attentive to the residents. I would highly recommend Tremona.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Taking care of your great uncle is a pleasure and a privilege.
I also enjoyed a lovely lunch during my visit, along with a cheeky tipple, which added a nice relaxed touch to the afternoon.
The home itself feels clean, safe, and thoughtfully organised. Common areas are bright and inviting, and residents always seemed engaged, whether chatting with staff, participating in activities, or relaxing in the lounge. My friend spoke highly of the caregivers, especially noting their kindness, patience, and willingness to take time with each person.
The sense of care in the home clearly starts from the top. The manager is exceptionally dedicated and hands-on, setting a positive tone that filters through the entire team. Their presence and commitment really stood out during my visit.
Thank you so much, Pamela for your wonderful review. We do hope to see you again soon.
Excellent, caring, attentive staff. It's like an extended family. Activities are well thought through and everyone enjoys them and participates in all the activities. Day trips are excellent. It's definitely a home from home.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It has been a pleasure to welcome you all to our family at Tremona.
My dad Mr Hugh was a resident until he passed away and he was so cared and loved for by the staff nothing was to much trouble for them. Especially in helping organise a surprise for dads 80th
My grandfather moved in to Tremona two years ago, as a family a very difficult decision for us to make he was living in his own home and he wanted to remain there living an independent life. It was clear that grandad required more support than we could give him, we tried home care however he would shower himself before the carers arrived, he was elderly and finding everyday tasks increasingly more difficult. Although there were signs grandad was officially diagnosed with dementia at the age of 97 and the move into the care home environment was our only option to keep him safe. I am so proud to say it is the best move we ever made, grandad has been so happy at Tremona, the management and care staff are outstanding in every way, we will celebrate his 100th birthday in August I am so happy that we will celebrate with not only our immediate family but with our Tremona family. Thank you all for everything x x
Thank you for your lovely words P, taking care of your grandad and welcoming all of you into our family is a pleasure.
After 10 years of living in this home my mother finally passed away in January. Having experienced a decade of Tremona I can say that the staff have been amazing and very kind. Any small problems were addressed immediately. All basic needs were met but there were many extras included. There is an excellent social programme and all visitors become as family. Many carers came to my mother's funeral service sacrifice their days off. It's the staff and management that make a place and this has an abundance of incredible dedicated people.
Thank you for your very kind words, Kim. Mum really was part of the family as were all of you, and we really will miss each and every one of you.
My mother was a resident at the Care Home for almost 10 months. It was a shock for my mother going from independent living to needing more support and care. However the kindness and care given by staff helped her to settle in. In fact overall her health improved. All the staff were very caring and always professional. They demonstrated knowledge and expertise in all aspects of care they gave my mother. It was a happy few months for her. There was a lovely atmosphere in the Home - staff made a point of greeting visitors and I was always made to feel welcome. The staff took an interest in my mother and made every effort to include her in activities laid on by the Home.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we loved looking after your mother so much and enjoyed your family visiting, you are all missed.
I highly recommend this home. From the moment my mum moved in the day she died all the staff showed nothing but care, kindness, compassion and good humour in helping her to settle and adjust to her new surroundings. The same caring was also extended to our family, we always felt welcomed at any time and included in what was going on. We didn’t want our mum to move into a home but we had come to a place where we were worried about her safety and couldn’t cope with her dementia and the staff at Tremona calmed our worries and reassured us that we were doing the right thing. I’d like to live somewhere like that when and if my time comes.
This is an excellent home with staff who could not care more about their residents, they have shown my dad enormous compassion, care and joy. Dad moved in in November 2021 and the team worked quickly to help him integrate, support his interests and help him worry less about his newly diagnosed dementia. From safeguarding his physical health to improving his mental health, their care really is holistic. Dad had a couple of significant dips in his health along the way and the team adapted brilliantly - and has supported me unfailingly too. He passed away recently and I can tell from the reaction of all the staff that they all genuinely loved and cared for him. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your very kind words as well as all your care and support of us during the pandemic! Having you and Dad as part of our family was incredibly special, and we will miss you both very much. Take care, with love from us all.
My mother has been a resident of Tremona Care Home for the past 8 months and has been very happy during her stay and settled in well. All staff are extremely kind, caring and professional and her well being has always been their utmost priority. I am always made to feel very welcome whenever I visit. She has a lovely room and the home is extremely clean. The entertainment team work very hard to arrange lots of activities in the home and also days out which the residents really enjoy. Many thanks to everyone for all their attention, she is definitely in the best place!
Thank you for your feedback, Sue, Mum is a pleasure to take care of and certainly adds a little bit of something special to each day.
I and my family have just made the difficult decision to help my grandad move into care. He is 97 and has been managing well independently at home. Over recent months, it’s clear that he needed the extra support as my mum was around his house helping him most days feeling increasingly worried about him. Tremona had a homely feel from the moment we walked through the door, the staff and management team could not have made us feel more welcome, they have helped us at such a difficult time. A beautiful care home with a home-from-home feel, myself and my family can now feel happy that he is safe, cared for and looked after. We will all be forever grateful, thank you all.
Thank you very much for your lovely review, Hannah. Grandad is a pleasure to look after and part of our family.
My father recently passed away but from the time he went there he was well cared for, the last couple of years of his life. The staff, including management are caring and friendly. There has always been a lovely atmosphere and the activity staff are always finding ways to stimulate and improve the resident's day. I have missed going there since he has passed but intend to stay in touch and join in with their outings and entertainment sessions.
Thank you for your lovely review, Heather. We miss seeing you and Dad will be missed always.
My experience has been very good.
Have always been made to feel your resident's well-being is at utmost and when visiting, made welcome by the staff. Staff are very professional and my resident is always happy with the care they receive. pleasant home with activities and days out.
My mother appears to be very content with life at Tremona care home. She frequently comments that the food, care and attention is as good as it gets. She has also commented that the events organiser has been a great addition to the home. All in all - a happy lady.
Thank you for your valuable feedback Stephen. It is much appreciated and will help us to ensure we always strive to improve.
Tremona is well run by both management and staff. All are very caring.
Many thanks for your review Diana and for your lovely comments.
Only have good things to say about Tremona Care Home and all the staff.
Many thanks for your valuable feedback Alice. It is a pleasure to have you as part of our family at Tremona.
During this awful pandemic, the whole team have stepped up and gone above and beyond. While keeping us updated on how things are going and how Mum is doing.
