My husband is in Respite Care at Rose Lodge. I found taking this step very difficult with realising I was struggling to care for him at home and needed a break. The Manager and staff have been so supportive to me as well as caring for my husband. All the staff are so friendly and cheerful and Rose Lodge has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Any concerns I had were very soon dispelled and I can now relax knowing he is safe and very well cared for in every respect.

I've always said I wouldn't send Dad to a care home, but when we couldn't cope anymore we had to. As soon as we walked into Rose Lodge, I felt so at ease. It's a lovely place and staff were great. There was a good variety of food and if you didn't want what was on the menu, they would always offer something else. I can't fault them at all. Dad was happy there.

A clean and beautifully decorated care home with excellent food. However, its greatest asset is the staff; management and all. As a family, we have been so touched by the care and professionalism of everyone who works at Rose Lodge. They go above and beyond for residents and their families. During Mum's last days, I can't thank them enough for the care and support we were given. Nothing was ever too much.

Like many people, I felt guilty placing Mum in a care home, but with two young children and work, I could not look after her myself. She was also uprooted from her home in Yorkshire and lost her husband. It was a very difficult time for all. She was recovering from pneumonia when she went into Rose Lodge, was struggling to feed herself and had poor mobility. The improvement she has made since being at Rose Lodge is truly amazing. It really is down to the fabulous staff. They are so genuinely caring towards the residents. I visited every day for the first few weeks and witnessed first-hand the superb care Mum was receiving. The activity leaders are absolute gems, and it is so wonderful to know that Mum is getting out and about. She enjoys a laugh with the staff and has really come out of her shell. She also loves the routine of going to church. I like the flexibility that I can visit or take Mum out at times that fit with our family life. I would not hesitate to recommend Rose Lodge!

As a family, we have been made very welcome and the staff are wonderfully helpful and considerate. There is always a friendly face to ask if you need help or advice. I have found the staff to be very friendly towards my mum and also to the family when we visit. Nothing is too much trouble. She likes to get out and about and has been on some days out, which she has thoroughly enjoyed. Rose Lodge has a good reputation locally and continues to uphold it's values.

My stay has been exceptional. Everyone has treated me very kindly and, in fact, there is nothing that I can criticise at all.
Thank you for your very kind review of Rose Lodge Care Home. We are pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay with us, please visit us again soon!
What first struck me about Rose Lodge was the welcoming atmosphere and person-centred focus, always done with dignity and kindness. They just seem to 'get' it. Someone always answers the phone, suggestions are taken seriously and there is a sense of comfort, knowing Mum is being really well looked after. There are plenty of great activities available and residents seem to have a lovely time (as can be seen from the photos). There are so many events and delicious-looking cakes. It's a good life for some! But for me, the best reflection of how well this home has performed is that when Mum went in she was really not in a very good state at all, but now she is simply flourishing. I would credit Rose Lodge (plus my sister of course) for much of the improvement.
Thank you for your extremely kind review of Rose Lodge Care Home. We are so pleased to know that you have been happy with the care we have provided for your mum. We will keep up the good work in all that we do!
