Lots of games and activities going on, nice grounds outside.
Thank you for your review of the home. We're happy that you are happy and we will continue to improve where needed.
Dad was well cared for during this period, and enjoyed his time there. Now he comes in to visit staff and friends he made whilst there and has said he wouldn't mind moving back if there comes a time when he can't cope.
We love seeing your dad on his regular return visits
After spending 2 months as a resident I think it says it all when he's wanting to come and visit twice a week to see and help out with the residents and staff alike who he refers to as his friends.
Your comment about residents and staff as friends is exactly the type of relationship we try to develop with everyone
Thanks again
Lovely care home, staff very friendly and helpful, residents all look happy.
We have a great team who take pride in our home and the care they deliver
My husband was given a warm and friendly welcome when he first arrived at the home (evening time) when he was very confused and frightened and the staff have always been caring and patient with him. I like the fact that I always get a friendly greeting whenever I make my regular but unannounced visitors.
Many Thanks,
Anita
My sister is very well cared for. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Thank you so much for your lovely review.
Kind Regards,
Anita
A big plus for me is that it is all on one level which provides a safer environment and allows the residents more freedom to walk about. There is a nice garden area which is accessed from the main room.
Thank you for your lovely review.
Kind Regards
Anita
Visited my nan for jubilee celebrations. Have had a lovely afternoon, residents having fun and smiling. Staff getting residents involved. Very touching to see the staff looking after residents, especially those becoming emotional. Can see my nan is clearly happy here with her friends and staff.
Hello! Thank you very much for taking the time to complete this lovely review! And thank you very much for joining us at the Jubilee Garden Party! It was so nice to welcome families back into the home and to see all of our amazing residents, staff and families having a good time! I am very happy...
I have visited the place a number of times now and always find the staff very friendly. I'm a little concerned about things that have gone missing belonging to my mum, which nothing was done about, but overall, it's a good place.
Good evening, thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. I am sorry to hear about the missing items. If you would be so kind to email me a list of items that are missing, I will look into this right away. We will ensure that we do everything we can to locate these items. Once again,...
My mum stayed in The Place Up Hanley and she absolutely like it. The staff were so helpful and caring. The manager is a gentleman who is always trying all his best to help. The care home is clean with a nice bedroom.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a lovely review! We are so pleased that your Mum enjoyed her stay with us at The Place, as did we enjoy having your Mum stay with us! We look forward to your Mum staying with us again in the future!
I have found the layout of the place to be spacious - enough to more than cater for residents' needs. Bedding maybe needs renewing. All staff are pleasant and caring and seem to be conscientious regarding my uncle's care and well-being.
Thank you for taking the time to give us a review Janet, we have taken your review into account and we have been replacing bedding. Thank you for your feedback and for helping us to improve. I am pleased you find our lovely staff to be pleasant, caring and conscientious.
Absolutely amazing home, my nan is well looked after and cared for and has increased in weight, which was very much needed! Good food, good communication between the staff and family. The weekly doctor round gives us family members peace of mind knowing regular checks can be made, if needed. My nan is happy and settled and we wouldn't change the staff for the world! Visiting is now back to being partially normal which is fantastic and us as a family, are extremely happy with the procedures in place for visiting, to keep all residents safe!
We are all pleased that you feel that your Nan is being well looked after, we are doing our best. Thank you for your kind words, this means a great deal to all of us! If you have any suggestions on how we can improve further, please do not hesitate to let us know! Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review.
My sister was moved to The Place Up Hanley from a previous home as she was totally isolated and left to her own devices. Social services advised the move, and though I was glad that she was being moved, I was full of trepidation. I should not have worried. My sister entered the home as a ladies size 6, she now varies between a size 12 to 14. She is happy, she told me herself the last time I saw her, (some months ago). She has a disability, and when she lived in her house, she was constantly falling, the last fall causing a broken hip. Since living at The Place Up Hanley she has fallen once and tripped twice, and that is in a few years. I will never be able to thank the staff enough for looking after my sister who I love dearly. Other than her dementia, she is well, looked after and happy, I cannot ask for more. Thank you to the staff and management at The Place up Hanley. May God bless you all, and I hope all involved have a great Christmas.
It’s a pleasure to support your sister and all of the people who live here. We strive to do our best to keep everyone well and safe.
Merry Christmas
Staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble, the environment is caring, welcoming, friendly a proper home from home. The events and engagement for residents is second to none and I can never thank everyone enough for all they do for my nana.
Food good. Nice and spacious room and lounge etc.
My dad stayed one week for respite care. He was well looked after. The staff were very kind and caring. My dad said the entertainment was good. The cleanliness in the home was good, it smelt fresh. Thank you.
Dad came into The Place for respite care when Mum was in hospital. He received the kindest care and understanding. He was not eating or drinking when he came in, but on leaving he was a different person. More himself. Thank you to all the staff for both looking after Dad, but also me. They were wonderful at all times.
I cannot fault the care provided to my mum The Place Up Hanley Ltd during her respite stay. It has been so reassuring for us to have her looked after so well whilst we had a break. Mum has been so agitated and unsettled on respite stays in the past, however, when we pick her up today she has had nothing but praise. Thank you.
The staff have always taken great care of my mother, treating her with respect at all times. They provide a safe and happy environment with lots of appropriate activities to keep the residents entertained.
This is an excellent care home, the staff are brilliant, the food is brilliant, the patients are well looked after. Cannot fault it at all.
