Shinfield View is a multi-award-winning, purpose-built care home in the village of Shinfield in Berkshire, providing spacious care facilities within a luxury environment.

Situated just outside Wokingham near the city of Reading, Shinfield View is in a fantastic location just off the M4 and A33. A team of professional and skilled staff focus on the needs of the individual while providing high-quality care services, which include residential care and dementia care as well as respite and day care.

The home features its own cinema room where residents can relax, a fully-stocked bar and bistro area, library, private dining room, spa, hairdressing salon and landscaped gardens. The home sits just across from the village green, where family-friendly events take place throughout the year.

Shinfield View has a full-time events manager who organises activities and events for all residents to enjoy, while the home has its own chauffeur driven limousine for use on days out and special occasions.

The pricing policy is all-inclusive - a single weekly fee covers all care, all facilities and all events. This includes the bar and bistro, fine dining, hair salon and entertainment. It may sound too good to be true, but it’s just Shinfield View!

I have a great deal of expertise in elderly care as a consultant and therefore a good care home was essential - this is perfection. Attentive and proactive staff, flexible and responsive to change and a truly lovely environment. Price is very reasonable and quality is superb. Dad has settled well and
this is entirely due to the brilliant carers. Since a recent hospital stay, he has been to the seaside, interacted with great entertainment and eaten like a king. It is all round 5 star - look at social media page for a full range of activities.

Mum has been a resident since June 2018 and is very happy. Her care is excellent from all members of staff, who all go above and beyond to ensure she is comfortable, entertained and well looked after. All staff, whether Carers, Domestic, Entertainment or Catering, take time to talk to Mum and they never
seem rushed. There's plenty of activities in-house and regular trips out; including some organised following requests from individual residents. The food is of a high standard and varied; I regularly join Mum to eat lunch with her and am made very welcome by the Bistro staff.

My brother and I needed to find a care home at short notice for my mother. We had considered this home previously so once the need arose we did not hesitate to choose this home for our mother. The staff have been so helpful and understanding form the moment Mum moved in. All the staff are so considerate,
kind and nothing is too much trouble. We cannot recommend Shinfield View care home highly enough.

I have been visiting Shinfield View care home with a friend for several months now. I always find the staff friendly, caring and helpful. There is so much for the residents to do and there are lots of varied activities to entertain them.
I would not hesitate to place my own parents here if necessary

I am flying out to LA this Christmas to be with my son and family, having lost my darling husband in May.
I am completely confident that my lovely mum will be in such good hands and encouraged to enjoy all the amazing activities organised for residents. Just wish mum could remember how much they enrich

My mum moved into Shinfield View in November and in just four weeks we (the family) feel we are coming home when we visit Mum. The staff are friendly, caring and I feel we have known them for years!

The care my mother receives is very good and I am extremely pleased with Shinfield View. The staff are well trained and friendly offering an excellent standard of care. There is a range of activities provided with opportunities for going out. The Activity Coordinators make a great team in this area.
My mother is very content here. One area for improvement is keeping family informed of doctors/hospital appointment outcomes.

My mother is a recently arrived resident at Shinfield View. From the first day she arrived the staff have been wonderful. They provide great care and have improved my mother's life completely. Before coming to the home mum was becoming lonely and isolated. The staff, residents and all the activities
have given mum a new lease of life.
