Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.

an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My mum had a fall on New Years Eve 2021 and broke her hip. Mum’s caring needs afterwards were more than her residential home could cater for and we needed to find alternative care.
The Customer Relations Manager at Glastonbury Court helped sort Mum’s care out so well - stress-free and Mum is being
so well looked after.

I consider that the home provided the best available care for my late wife. They were considerate and loving to her and me. I realise that, due to the pandemic, extra effort was made because things were that much more difficult with all the testing and isolation that were necessary to comply with the

My mother's physical immobility commenced in March 2021 and after an initial time in another care home, her desire was to move to where her personal needs, uppermost being en-suite facilities, would be available. Initial exchanges with the administration member of staff were handled in detail including
my walk around the building during difficult Covid restrictions.
The request was met and the staff waited on the doorstep on the day of arrival and her ground floor room, with en-suite, was a welcoming site in her new circumstances. She has been a resident now for 5 months. She has got to know her carers very well who have been friendly, as they have exchanged stories of their lives and the carers have constantly provided the care and needs that her situation demands. Her room is very well set out, the TV is in an ideal spot, furnishing is limited given the overall space but manageable. Covid has restricted all care home actions but well done to administrators and carers.

My mother spent two weeks respite on the Nursing Suite and was well looked after by the staff, who also managed to get rid of the swelling in her ankles, which she had, had for months before. The staff are very caring and attentive, and there is a lot of them per resident, which does make a difference.
For instance, there was somebody with my mother when she was about to fall down, and caught her, which would not have happened in a place with very few staff on duty.
Having been to many care homes, I would say this one wins on the number and quality of the staff. The rooms are plain and basic, but if you are in bad shape, this is the place for you as you will be well cared for, and they can cope with anything on the Nursing suite. They did manage to lose some of my mother's clothing temporarily but offered to pay for a replacement. I would certainly use it again for respite; it's a great resource.

I arranged a fortnight's respite for my father-in-law recently. The process was easy enough, and the staff were extremely helpful with arranging this. They explained the process very well. I knew my father-in-law would be in good hands, and I knew I could call anytime if I had any concerns. Very pleased
with his care for that fortnight, and would not hesitate in using the services at Glastonbury Court again.

We have moved my father to Glastonbury Court from his previous very good care home as they weren't able to offer nursing care. The decision was made easy by the fact that we have yet to hear anyone say anything other than Glastonbury Court is extremely good and working in the same town I have come across
a lot of people with knowledge of the place. The transfer process was smooth, efficient, and comprehensive even during covid times, with online meetings and tours with all bases covered, every question answered. Dad has settled in very well even under the awkward conditions that prevail. Communications have been very good, both routine and non-routine keeping us up to date with dad's situation.

Our elderly relative had been receiving care 3 times a day in her own home. She was adamant that she would never leave that environment. Because she has dementia we were beginning to feel that she was unsafe when the carers weren't with her and particularly at night. After several occasions when she
called an ambulance unnecessarily we decided to trial a short stay at a residential care home. We had experience of Glastonbury Court and felt that the care there would suit our relative. How amazed we were when the person who had insisted that she would never leave home settled in remarkably quickly. She loves her room and the company. She loves the food and the feeling that she is in a hotel and being looked after. From our perspective, although visiting has been difficult we know her friends and relatives are able to phone her regularly and the staff are always on hand to update us if any problems arise. All in all, it has been a very satisfactory transition and our minds are at rest.

I felt reassured taking Dad to Glastonbury Court. He had previously attended a care home for both Day Care and respite before and I've always been satisfied. I was very nervous and felt guilty for leaving him for a month.

We would like to express our most sincere and heartfelt appreciation to everyone at Glastonbury Court, especially the staff on Abbey Suite for their devotion and brilliant care afforded to my father over the last year. It has meant so much to us knowing you were all there for him and looking after him
so very well. Then during these most difficult times that we found ourselves in, it was such a comfort to us and we really do appreciate everyone’s exceptional hard work, patience and compassion. Always finding the time to keep us informed of all that was happening with him. First impressions really do count and from the day we first came to look around Glastonbury Court to Dad’s last we could not have asked for a more dedicated and caring environment for him. It is clearly a happy place for the residents and a very reassuring one for their relatives - so thank you all so much.

Glastonbury Court’s team helped me to make sure that Dad’s room had all of his home comforts and favourite things in place ready for his move, and really made it home for him. The staff are delightful, very caring and genuinely fond of and interested in the residents. My Dad has a good social life
at Glastonbury Court, even during lockdown, with lots of activities going on. I’ve been so glad to be able to have lots of zoom calls and window visits with Dad; the team have really done their best in very difficult circumstances, and always with a smile.

Glastonbury Court is a very well laid out building, with a good array of facilities. I can only comment on Abbey Suite but the shop, the bar, the coffee lounge and kitchen, with coffee and cakes always available and the large extensive safe grounds all work well and are available to residents. The residents
are at the forefront of activities from individual crafts to general entertainment. All the staff I have had contact with are kind, caring and considerate and are all very hard working.

Satisfied overall, the staff look after my sister well and she does enjoy the food. She always looks happy and well kept, they just felt a bit slow to make provision for visits during Covid lockdowns, other care homes responded more quickly.

My wife has been in care at Glastonbury Court since 2nd Feb 2017, and throughout that time I have to say she has been extremely well cared for. This is particularly true of the past twelve months when, like everywhere else, the staff have had to adapt to incredible difficulties due to the Covid pandemic.
Sadly, of course, I have only been able to see my wife on a handful of occasions during this period and initially it hurt to see that her hair was not as she would normally wear it but I did understand that this was because the hairdressers could not attend the home. When eventually did and she had her hair done she looked as lovely as ever. It didn't go unnoticed that the staff had attempted to keep her hair tidy and for that I am very grateful. Overall, even since she tested positive, I can only marvel at the patience and diligence of all the staff, their friendly attitude and kindness under what must be extremely difficult and sometimes very traumatic times.

Mum has been with you for some time now, and despite the terrible difficulties of the past year she remains happy and settled; which is such a relief for me. Everyone goes above and beyond their job titles to ensure she is well cared for, enjoys her food and is stimulated by her surroundings and activities.

My wife has very complex issues regarding her advanced dementia. Whilst a number of care homes assessed her, and one accepted her initially on a trial basis, they all rejected. Working with the NHS and hospital looking after her to gain a full understanding of her problems, Glastonbury offered her a
trial place. From the very outset, we were extremely pleased with the tranquil and very attentive nature of the home and staff. Over the 8-months that my wife has been there, it has proven to be very calm and friendly. The monitoring systems seem to work well, as does the response from staff when alerted. They continually monitor my wife's health and well-being, and are always able to discuss what she has eaten and had to drink, sugars involved in drinks etc., without needing to refer to the detailed notes they keep. Through the COVID 19 pandemic, they have applied stringent conditions which have kept her safe. I have been very impressed with Glastonbury and would hate to have to move my wife.

I’m very pleased with the care my father receives at Glastonbury Court, this is the best place he could have been placed in to meet his needs for both dementia and nursing care. He has improved physically since he moved into the home just over two years ago following a long period of time in hospital.
The staff are caring and considerate, the home aims to achieve consistency of staff without falling on the need to use too many agency staff members. It’s reassuring to know that my father has the appropriate care which he requires and gives me peace of mind. The management have an open door and I feel that I am able to discuss any concerns which I may have with them. The nursing team are excellent and know my father very well and inform me if they have any concerns regarding his health.

My Grandfather was at Glastonbury court for just under 2 years, the care he received was outstanding! We always felt reassured he was safe and cares for. His individual needs were always met. The staff were so friendly, kind and caring, not just to my grandfather but to all of his family visiting as
well! He was offered 3 hot meals a day and had plenty of snacks in between, the staff always made sure he was hydrated. They catered to his individual needs at all times! If he needed to stay in bed, they would set up safety mats and check on him regularly. As a family, we were always kept up to date with any trips/falls he had, if his condition had changed, and what the doctors said when they came. Glastonbury court was so welcoming to us, and my grandfather, he was always treated with respect. The staff were so patient with him! Glastonbury court offers so many activities suitable for all abilities, from trips out, to gardening and singers coming in to perform!

From my initial contact, I found all staff helpful and understanding of our need. Willing to answer questions and make the necessary adjustments if required. The accommodation is well appointed - clean and privacy is respected.
Costs high but all well worth the amount.
A little extra attention to
the spiritual needs of some residents would be helpful but I realise the residents have to often rely on outside resources.

When I wanted a fresh challenge, I thought I’d explore working for Care UK as I’d heard only positive things about its care ethos and support for its teams. I’m very pleased I did.


I’m passionate about providing the highest standards of care and working with the team to maintain Glastonbury Court’s ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating. Ours is a lovely home to live and work in and it’s a huge privilege to work here and be leading the team. We are always striving for each resident to have a meaningful lifestyle and to fulfil their dreams.


In this role, it’s important to be open and honest, a good listener and treats everyone equally. I enjoy seeing the residents, the team and residents’ families and having a chat and helping to resolve any worries they have.


In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cycling, travelling abroad and soaking up the sun.
