Glastonbury Court

Our father was in need of some respite care whilst he was selling his house and purchasing a bungalow near his family. The care he received was excellent. The staff gently supported our father, helping him to regain his confidence and enjoyment of life whilst not letting him lose any independence. It was just the right level of support and help that he needed.

We feel that our mother is getting excellent care in a happy, safe and caring environment.

Glastonbury is excellent and the team are amazing - friendly, genuinely caring and wonderful to both dementia residents and their families. Not only was Mum professionally cared for but they gave her back her dignity and a life filled again with company, activity, humour and friendship. Families are very welcome and we felt just as at home making a cup of coffee in their kitchen as we did in our own homes. The dementia care is exceptional and residents like Mum are treated with respect, professional understanding and kindness. It was an enormous comfort to us that Mum was so happy and loved, especially in her last days. Thank you to everyone at Glastonbury.

I cannot praise the staff enough for their helpful and cheerful support, day and night. I will miss this so much when I go home. I had a large clean beautifully decorated room with a view of the lovely garden. There are lots of planned activities, morning and afternoon but no pressure if you don't want to do any. Visitors are welcome and can join for a meal. I would recommend without hesitation, I was confident coming here and my husband ended his life here in 2017 and had been very happy.

My stay at Glastonbury Court has been an amazing experience. Everything is excellent the staff are truly amazing - the care could not be better. The food is very very good. The management are very good. Nothing is too much trouble. I have only been in on respite care - but will be sorry to go home and plan to save up so I can come for 2 week rest and care next year. A wonderful place with wonderful people.

Moving my mum into a new care home was not an easy decision, especially as her previous home could no longer meet the needs of her advanced Alzheimer's. However, from the moment we arrived here, the different was clear. The staff immediately came across as warm, gentle, and genuinely caring. There's a calm, compassionate approach that puts residents and families at ease. It feels natural and sincere. My mum is carefully monitored in a way that feels supportive rather than intrusive, and the environment is both safe and comforting. What stands out most is how the staff approach dementia care: residents are allowed to be themselves, even when that means living in their own reality. They are treated with patience and understanding, never dismissed. Above all, the respect shown to each resident's dignity is clear in everything they do. It gives me real peace of mind knowing my mum is in such a caring and thoughtful environment.

My 2 weeks respite went too fast, didn't want to go home. Care was excellent carried out by wonderful staff. Couldn't fault it!

My wife Dotty enjoyed her stay in Glastonbury. We experience other care homes where friends went and we visited and this is head and shoulders better than any others we have seen. The staff could not be more caring and friendly and she was happier here than I could describe. This applied right up to the day she died. All I can really say is a huge thank you to everyone here.

I knew as soon as I walked in Glastonbury Court that this was where my husbands new home is going to be. The staff were all so friendly & helpful! My husband has lived here for nearly 18 months and is very happy here which is all my family & myself could wish for. All staff including kitchen staff, cleaners, carers & management always listen & go out of their way to help with anything we need/would like. I have recommended the home to friends.

Mums needs are met with dignity and grace. All of the staff are kind and companionate. Response times for staff calls are immediate and with a caring nature. Always a welcome for family and friends.

I have been very impressed with all the staff and the care home. Everyone is helpful patient and understanding. The residents all seems well cared for and I feel this is the best residence for my 97 year old mother. She is well looked after. I am very pleased and grateful for all the staff and management do for her.

There are quite a few care homes in the area but we were extremely lucky to find Glastonbury Court and I have no hesitation in recommending their standard of service to anybody.

Best of all are the staff. The home has its own doctor, nurses and trained care staff. All are kind and always friendly. My wife's condition means she sometimes doesn't fully understand what is going on, but they are always patient with her even if she can get aggressive. They are most of all effective, however trying the circumstances.

What stands out most is how consistently happy and safe my mum feels. Despite her dementia, she regularly tells me and my sister how well looked after she is, and how lucky she feels to be there. She even shares this with her grandchildren, which speaks volumes about the comfort and security she experiences daily.

I cannot praise Glastonbury Court highly enough for the way they are looking after my dad, with his dementia and other needs. During a very tough period of time looking after my mum with her own issues, it's been an utter relief to know that dad is being cared for in such an exemplary way. Even though I have felt guilty about not being able to visit, the staff at GC have given me the confidence to know I can leave his care in their safe hands. It's so good, my mum is probably going there for her care needs too!

When we came into the home on the first day, we were made to feel welcome from the very staff. All staff made us feel like we were part of the family and this feeling has continued throughout my wife's stay, which helped her settle in quickly, and she seems very happy a present. Well done!

My grandmother was moved here after several years of being in a much poorer care home for end of life care. I was really impressed with the cleanliness and facilities on offer and the level of care was also superior. I only wish she could have been moved here sooner to benefit from what this care home offers.

My father and I are able to relax now that Mum is receiving excellent care at Glastonbury Court. Every single member of staff from management, admin, nurses, carers, cleaners and kitchen staff really care & they show it! My whole family & most importantly Mum, are treated with respect, professionalism, warmth & care. Everyone knows us and greets us with a smile, every day.

The general improvement over just a few days was remarkable. The staff were kind and supportive with great encouragement.Day by day we could see the change in her mobility and more willing to join in activities.

The staff, the atmosphere and the decor at Glastonbury Court are all lovely! I felt very relaxed about my husband being there while I had a much needed rest! Great cafe with very nice home made cakes and lots of seating areas in the pleasant garden. This was my first use of a care home for some respite care and I was so worried about the whole thing ! But the staff really made me feel very confident and comfortable about leaving my husband in their capable hands.
