Residents seem happy and well cared for.
The home is always clean and well presented.
There are activities for those that wish to join in.
Sometimes laundry goes missing even though named.
Residents are not always given a choice for teatime.
Breakfast and lunch are good portion meals but teatime
can be a bit hit and miss.
On the whole, a great, caring home.

I can rest assured that my mother is being well looked after. The care staff are very good at ensuring the well-being of their residents, sometimes in quite challenging circumstances. Their genuine care and warmth are evident. There is always a really nice vibe when one goes to Glastonbury Court.

My son receives very good care and consideration from all concerned. As a family, we cannot speak highly enough of all the current carers and other staff associated with his wellbeing. The 'one to one' chats would be much appreciated and this is not possible with his fellow residents. Thank you for

Great quality care for my mother at Glastonbury Court in a clean.tidy, modern home.
The staff are very patient, caring and professional and the food seems to be outstanding.

Placing my mum into a care home was an extremely difficult decision as she had lived with us for several years and finding a place where we felt the people who would be caring for Mum would care for her in the way we had cared for her at home was a challenge.
All the staff at Glastonbury Court were
caring and considerate to both Mums physical and emotional care and supportive to us as family.
Mum has lived at Glastonbury Court for over a year now and it’s a pleasure to see her so happy, we are always made to feel part of the Glastonbury family by the staff.
I would thoroughly recommend this care home to anyone looking to place a loved one in a care home.

My wife came to live at Glastonbury Court in February 2016 following a long illness and numerous spells in hospital. She was one of the first residents when the home opened. We were warmly greeted and made to feel very comfortable by both management and staff who all showed a caring attitude at a time
when we were about to make one of the biggest decisions of our life. The facilities offered and lovely areas such as Coffee Shop for both residents and their families, comfortable lounge areas beautifully furnished with sofas and arranged in such a way to make it feel more like being in your own home. We enjoy the summer months spent sitting the gardens.
My wife was moved upstairs into the nursing suite as her health deteriorated and has been well cared for by the nurses and staff who show kindness and compassion, often in very difficult circumstances.
Thank you all for taking care of my wife and the support you have given both my wife and myself. It is appreciated more than you realize.

Despite his dementia making him very difficult to deal with, my husband has been looked after in an extremely efficient and caring way. All the staff know him by name and understand his problems. He has been very happy during his stay at Glastonbury Court and I have great admiration for the staff and
their kindly and caring attitude. I can think of nowhere where he could have been in better hands

The staff of Glastonbury Court have continued to really 'care for' my Brother-in-law who is in the Royal Suite. What a lovely group of people. Quite a tricky job and highly demanding. They give their best always and keep giving. The little things do matter and kindness and caring are so important.

My Dad was made welcome and settled in very well by staff since he became a resident in March 2017. Staff are always friendly towards residents and visitors. My Dad likes to joke and staff have a joke with him. His room is always very clean and he enjoys the meals very much. He enjoys music activit5ies
a lot and these are often on upstairs and downstairs. Overall we could not wish for my Dad to be in in a better place apart from his own home!

Although we did not know it my husband was very close to death when he came to Glastonbury Court and indeed he died two months later, from beginning to end he was treated with great kindness. His dignity was always guarded, and we were always made to feel welcome. His nursing care was excellent, and
our business needs were met with much patience and understanding. That part was very important as absorbing a great deal of information at a time of enormous stress is not easy. I have no hesitation in recommending this Care home.

Following on from a fall and second fractured hip, I needed some breathing space to get my mother back to some semblance of her former self and to regain her former confidence. To this end, I organised a period of respite care at Glastonbury Court, Bury St Edmunds.


The transition from NHS care to

care in Glastonbury Court was seamless. My mother was made to feel immediately welcome and at home by both staff and residents. Her room was always clean and was light and airy. Meals were well balanced and very appetising. The team at Glastonbury Court, from management, carers to cooks, (sorry chefs) were fantastic. I have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

My stepmother was deteriorating at home with dementia and had a fall, was hospitalised and then needed residential care. From the first contact with Glastonbury Court, we were very impressed with the staff and facilities. The home offered all the care and thoughtfulness we were looking for and more
that we hadn't even considered. It was always welcoming well staff with knowledgeable and attentive nursing care. Our stepmother chose not to eat properly and so deteriorated quickly but she could not have been looked after in a more caring way.

My mother was at Glastonbury Court for 14 months before she passed away. I was very happy with the care and support she received, particularly in the last few weeks before her death. The carers were very helpful and caring and made sure she was treated well and gave her as much dignity as possible.
I never saw her distressed or worried. Any problem the care home felt she had, were always discussed with me and/or my father. The only downside with the care home was that I often felt there were not enough carers on duty to deal with everyone's needs and occasionally younger less experienced carers were left in charge.

My mum was transferred from a residential home in Rutland four months before she passed away. The family had not been happy with her care for some time and managed to have her transferred to be nearer to my other siblings. She settled in immediately, had been in the home in Rutland for 4 years with
Alzheimer's. The staff at Glastonbury were excellent, she always looked clean, well fed and content.

We were all pleased with the excellent care my father received at Glastonbury Court a brand new home in Bury St Edmonds. The building was well designed and had excellent facilities. More importantly, the care provided by all the staff was superb. They all treated my elderly father with great care, compassion
and friendliness. Their concern for his well-being was impressive and obviously genuine. He could not have spent his final days in better hands. Thank you very much!

The daycare manager took the trouble to find out what my husband's interests were and they were prepared on his first day with relevant activities. She always greets my husband with a warm smile and appears to enjoy her work which then reflects on his enjoyment of his visits. Other staff I have met
are equally warm and welcoming.

My husband has been here since the 8th of August 2016. Very pleased with the care home. He seems to be much more relaxed, as a family we are glad this move has happene, to be back in Bury where he lived. I am only 5 minutes from the care home, whereas before we had to travel 25 miles to the other care
home.

When I wanted a fresh challenge, I thought I’d explore working for Care UK as I’d heard only positive things about its care ethos and support for its teams. I’m very pleased I did.


I’m passionate about providing the highest standards of care and working with the team to maintain Glastonbury Court’s ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating. Ours is a lovely home to live and work in and it’s a huge privilege to work here and be leading the team. We are always striving for each resident to have a meaningful lifestyle and to fulfil their dreams.


In this role, it’s important to be open and honest, a good listener and treats everyone equally. I enjoy seeing the residents, the team and residents’ families and having a chat and helping to resolve any worries they have.


In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cycling, travelling abroad and soaking up the sun.
